“Katharine was extremely easy to work with! She assisted in fulfilling a last minute request, and got along great with my dog! She was able to get my pup to take a walk and eat her food, which are often difficult tasks due to my dogs anxiety. Would 100% recommend Katharine to others!!”

“Connelly was very responsive and sent multiple updates. She was quick to accommodate her schedule last minute to come and see Zola and I greatly appreciate that and highly recommend her for her services!”

“My dogs LOVE Bradley. He’s been so helpful to my family and I - always showing up on time and even helping us out last minute - I cannot say enough good things about him and would highly recommend him to anyone !”

“Jessica went above and beyond for Daisy! She was so patient and understanding of our shelter dog's need for slow intros and some extra support learning to walk politely on the leash. She was super communicative and took care to follow all the instructions we gave her. We recommend her highly to anyone who needs walking/petsitting services!”

About: I have 10+ years of experience with walking dogs, and years of experience in feeding, training, playing, and caring for both dogs and cats. My entire life I have always been drawn to animals, and am a huge animal lover! In my early teen years, I worked at a dog daycare where I oversaw the care of up to 14 dogs at one time. It was a huge responsibility, but I looked forward to going to work each shift I had because to me it didn’t even feel like work, it felt like a reward getting to care and play with so many animals. Whenever I go anywhere whether it’s a walk around my college campus, a family or friends house, or the park, I am always immediately drawn to all the dogs I see and always ask if I can take a minute to pet each dog. A multitude of family and friends have consistently told me that it’s evident how much I love animals, and how well I get along with them. I am someone you can trust to make sure your pet gets the best possible care when you are gone. As a former cat owner and current dog owner myself, I know just how much love and care pets need on a day to day basis. Whenever I am away from my dog who is my bestfriend in the whole world, I definitely can feel anxious or stressed. I am dedicated to keeping pet parents up to date on the wellbeing of your pets with photos, videos, up to date messages and anything else you’d like as a pet parent (I am happy to do facetime calls too!!). I will always be available and reachable when I am with your pet to answer any questions, concerns, or even just send over some extra photos if you are really missing your furry companion! Additionally, your pets wellbeing and safety is my top priority. I have worked hard to familiarize myself with signs of distress and discomfort in animals, and if anything doesn’t look right I will not hesitate to jump into action to make sure your pet is safe. My dog has had a few scary incidents, and as difficult as it was, it helped to prepare me to know the signs when something is not right and know what to do in case of an emergency. I decided to join rover because I wanted the opportunity to help take care and hangout with animals on a regular basis because it is truly something I absolutely love. I am hard working, enthusiastic, dedicated, and I will care for your pet as if it is my own. I hope you will consider entrusting me to care for such a valuable member of your family! • * Please note I require meet and greets with all potential pet clients BEFORE bookings!* * I have now graduated from the University of Delaware and am in the Albany area full time :) I am currently a part time marketing intern, so I have lots of extra time to care for your furry companion. I am very flexible, and when I am not at work or other commitments I have a very open schedule to care for your pet! Currently, I offer services within the clients home for walks or check ins with your pet. I am very flexible, and will work with you to get to know what routine works best for your pet. At this time due to a family members allergy, I am not able to offer boarding services in my home.
About: I have great experience with all types of animals in all ranges of age and necessities. I have worked at a barn as well as volunteer at my local animal shelter. I also grew up fostering puppies and kittens as young as days old. I have multiple pets of my own and they are my whole world, I treat any animal with the same level of respect. I work part time but my schedule is very flexible with an enough time in advance. I am free pretty much all day on weekends and most consistently after 3 on weekdays. However my schedule does shift and I am an early riser so I can make most other times work. I currently do not offer home services in my personal house. At a clients home I will listen to whatever instructions are given and keep everything as similar as possible for overnight and drop-in visits to help keep stress levels down for your animal.
“Great communication & service. I was in a terrible predicament &;Heather was great & alleviated a lot of stress. My dog is a great judge of character & he took to Heather immediately. Highly recommend”

About: I am an occupational therapy graduate student and an animal lover. I do not have a fur baby of my own at the moment due to my moving around, but whenever family or friends need someone to watch their pet, I am always the one they ask! For the summer, I am taking online courses with asynchronous work allowing for a flexible schedule. I work a respite care job on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; other than that, I am free. It is important to keep your pets as comfortable as possible. I am attentive to any special instructions regarding medication or diet. As an OT student, I have a lot of experience in caregiving and am patient. I also provide updates and photos to owners, so they know what their pets are up to!

About: I’ve had my own animals, both cats and dogs (mainly cats) since I was 6 years old. I’ve had to administer insulin before to my diabetic cat that has since passed. My experience with dogs are mainly of the bigger size (I had a pitbull/boxer mix and a pure bred chow chow). I’m currently working as a Direct Support Professional overnights 9pm-9am Thursday through Saturday (technically Sunday 9am). So I’m pretty open for picking up last minute gigs if needed. I would love to have a break down of your pets day to day. Typically when they are most ready to play or eat. When potty breaks need to be done around.
About: Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets. I am a volunteer at an animal shelter so I’m comfortable with both energetic puppies and senior pets who need a bit of extra care. I always make sure every animal feels safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I am very aware of enrichment techniques and the best practices to keep dogs feeling calm and happy. Being a college student, I miss my pets from home so much and cherish the opportunity to spend some time with your furry friends. As a college student with a flexible class schedule, I have plenty of time between classes, in the afternoons, and during evenings to care for your pets. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the week and weekends. I make sure to give each pet my full attention and love during every visit. I provide care in your pet’s familiar environment to reduce stress and keep their routine consistent. I always follow your specific instructions for feeding, walking, and enrichment activities, and I’m attentive to each pet’s unique personality and comfort level. I prioritize safety, trust, and stimulation so your pet feels happy, secure, and loved while you’re away.
About: Hello my name is Emily and I have been with dogs my entire life. I had a big dog named Lucy and a small dog named Oliver, which I love very dearly. I have taken care of many different dogs from big to small and have enjoyed playing, walking, and teaching them tricks. I have baby sat here and there whenever I was needed and it would always bring a smile to my face. My family and I are huge dog lovers. I think what sets me apart from other dog sitters is that I would rather spend more time with them then do other things. I love walking with them and showing them everything that there is to see in a dogs point of view.
“Glenn and Diana’s care of my big dog has been such a weight off my shoulders. He has some special needs and they didn’t hesitate to help. Also so appreciative of the questions they ask and how much they care!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years, both personally and professionally. As a lifelong dog mom, I know firsthand how much our pets mean to us—they’re family. Beyond daily walks and playtime, I have experience with administering medications, caring for senior pets, and keeping anxious pups calm and comfortable. My background as a registered nurse has made me attentive, reliable, and detail-oriented, which carries over into the way I care for animals. You can trust that your pet will not only be safe with me, but also loved, spoiled, and treated with the same patience and compassion I give my own dogs. I am currently working part time and have availability in my schedule to love and care for your pet. I have pets of my own and would love nothing more than to have clients who are comfortable knowing they will receive care that is above and beyond. I treat all pets like they are my own. I have a fenced in yard where your pet can run and play. I also have spare rooms if they need to be separated for any reason, safety being my main concern.
About: For a year, I walked my neighbor's Cavalier King Charles spaniel while she was recovering from a hip injury, until she could walk better. She and her daughter greatly appreciated my help and have said to me that their dog Cooper has been so much happier ever since he met me. I am a college student that goes to school 5 days a week from 7am to 2 pm. I can do early morning walks before 7am since I am a morning person, and I can do walks or come over after class. I am free on most weekends. I am free most of the time in the summer from June to August. I cannot bring pets into my home since I have two cats that are not very pet-friendly. But I can do all the care you need me to do at your house.
About: Friends and family members have trusted me to care for their furry loved ones for as long as I can remember. Our furry friends deserve just as much love and care as we do. I work from home three days out of the week, so I am able to care for pets during the day. I am also incredibly available throughout the weekends and each weeknight. I maintain a consistent daily routine for feeding, potty breaks, and playtime to keep pets feeling secure and comfortable. I keep clients updated with photos and updates on their pets' well-being, so they can feel confident that their furry friend is in good hands. I create a pet-friendly environment with plenty of space for pets to roam, play, and relax. I ensure all areas are pet-proofed and free from hazards. Pets receive lots of attention, playtime, and cuddles. I offer enrichment activities like toys and outdoor walks.
About: I have been working in animal and the dog sitting space since 2020. I have managed a range of pets from rats all the way through dogs. I have worked with sick animals before (administering diabetes shots, cleaning wounds and stitches) and am comfortable doing that moving forward. I have worked with many dogs at a time (up to three) many times in my career. I have also worked with nervous and reactive dogs as well. Overall I really have seen it all. I work a standard 9-5. That being said I work from home every other week, so depending on the week I can spend much more time in the home and provide more supervision. I love to be active so making time for walks and outside time will always be a priority. With weekends off I can spend those full days with your precious pet. I ensure that your pet is healthy, happy and comfortable. I let them become used to me and work around them. This is their space a they should feel safe there.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Normanskill
Gabby was great. My dogs are large and can be a handful, especially Khaleesi when other dogs are around, or Roman simply because he’s a tank. She always arrived within the time range we discussed and took them on nice long walks around the park, including pictures with each visit. The dogs were in good hands. I would recommend Gabby for your fur babies and hope she would care for mine again!

Mollie was so helpful with my dog when I needed some help in a pinch from having to work. She responded the week of and was able to help. Even took the time to come meet my dog the day of before she watched him that afternoon. Very happy that I had the peace of mind that my dog was taken care of.

Kate did a great job taking care of midday walks for my high energy dog. It allowed me to focus on my job and not have the stress of rushing home midday. Instead, Kate treated her to exercise, playing fetch, and affectionate care. So glad to have found Kate since she is a clear communicator and pleasant as well as professional.

Jessica has been walking our dog since April and she has been terrific! We feel very lucky to have found her! She’s reliable, kind, and intuitive with our dog. She sends midday reports on her walks which are super helpful. I always come home to a calmer pup since Jessica started with us. We’re hoping to hire her for a longer sit at some point, too. Jessica is great!
