“Joanne was a very reliable pet sitter. She followed all the instructions correctly and my dogs were taken care of well. In spite of unexpected accidents the first day, she handled the problem professionally. I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Nancy was fantastic! Both of our dogs loved her right when they met her...we could definitely tell by their response to her that she is a dog lover! Nancy was responsive, followed all instructions as we asked, and was just all-around lovely to work with. Plus, she took some AMAZING photos of our dogs (who sometimes aren't so photogenic). We will definitely work with Nancy again if she'll have us!”

“Lea took excellent care of our 2 cats for a week. She left adorable notes detailing each day that she came by to care for them. She kept us updated and sent us cute photos of them while we were on vacation, which we enjoyed receiving. We would highly recommend Lea as a pet sitter. We look forward to using her services again.”

“Kim is an amazing caregiver for my dogs & cats - she is reliable, easy to communicate with, and cares for my pets as if they were her own. Kim is also very responsive and nice, and she follows instructions carefully. When I urgently needed help due to a change of family circumstances, Kim responded immediately to coordinate pet visits and made me feel a lot better about the whole situation also, since I could stop worrying about my animals. Thank you to Kim, highly recommended!”

“Ashley was so great! She took great care of our pup, who can be a little difficult. She kept us up to date, spent quality time with Zoey, sent several pictures and took her on several walks. We can’t thank her enough!”
“Laura is the best! I had to go away for work two weeks after relocating to VA and one week after moving into an apartment; not only did I not have enough time to adjust, my kitties did not either. Leaving them home was difficult enough because they are certified therapy animals and I have severe anxiety, the thought of leaving them with someone I did not know was worse. They had already endured the relocation, staying in the hotel and then moving into the apartment where I had barely begun to unpack. Laura came for the "meet and greet" and all fell into place. My kitties loved her instantly and I was immediately at ease. Laura sent updates and pictures every visit. When I arrived home, my kitties were calm, everything pertaining to kitty care was immaculate. I will not hesitate to call on Laura again.”

About: I’ve cared for pets of all kinds since I was 10 years old, including dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals. I will provide the best care for your fur babies while keeping their same routine. Whether that means plenty of exercise or just cuddling on the couch, I will make sure your loved ones are taken care of. I am very responsive and communicative, and will always keep you updated throughout their day to give you peace of mind. Having two fur babies myself, I know how daunting it can be leaving them. My goal is to give your pet the same level of care and affection they are used to at home. I am a registered nurse and currently working part time, therefore I have free time during the work week. I am available throughout the week during regular work hours. I will care for your pet like one of my own, and make sure they are comfortable and at ease while you are away. I will make sure their routine and schedule will stay the same for continuity. I also prioritize giving frequent updates so you always have peace of mind.
“Erin was so awesome! She was a great communicator, sent great pictures and kept us updated on every visit. She took good care of our pup and made sure she was comfortable and happy!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and hamsters. I grew up with dogs of all shapes and sizes, spanning from a bully mix, to an Alaskan malamute, to black labs, and Chihuahuas too! Getting to know each animal individually, and getting to know their quirks and personalities is the best part! I currently work eight hours a day seven days a week. I can be there to pet sit in the evenings or let dogs out on potty breaks in the early morning or sometime past 5:30 PM. I can spend up to three hours with your pup for drop ins, and of course I would give all of my attention for the 8+ hours I would be there to pet sit. I follow any and all instructions given to me by pet owners. I’ve spent a long time getting to know, body language, and social cues from dogs. I will never push their boundaries.
“Highly recommend! Rebecca was fantastic with Zoey. She took the time to send me a quick photo or two, gave her plenty of attention, and followed all our instructions perfectly. Zoey was happy and relaxed when we got back and we could tell she had a great time! We felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands!”

“Tori was everything we could ask for, communicative, responsive and most importantly, very kind and loving to our pups. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter or walker for their furry family member. Thanks again!”

“We are so incredibly grateful for Margaret! She has been an absolute lifesaver for us—always reliable and there when we couldn’t be. As new puppy parents to a 4-month-old, it was really important to find someone who would care for our pup with love and patience, and Margaret has gone above and beyond. She treats our puppy as if he were her own, and we truly feel at ease knowing he's in such good hands. Her daily check-in updates and photos are so detailed, and it gives me so much peace of mind during the workday to see our little guy being so well cared for and loved on. Thank you, Margaret, we’re so lucky to have you!”

“Chloe took wonderful care of our kitties and was a really great communicator! I knew our cats would be shy at first, but she gained their trust very quickly! The photos she sent were super cute and reassuring for us while we were away. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve lived with pets all my life and currently have one indoor cat (spayed, friendly) and one dog (spayed, spends most time outside). I’ve done dog sitting for up to two weeks in the past and cat sitting for up to one month both in my home and at pet owners’ homes. Though I prefer felines as they’re easier to manage, small/medium dogs are certainly welcome — as long as they’re not too vocal. I am a long distance runner and hiker, so no walking distance is too far for me! My arm strength does have a limit, so any dogs over 30 pounds who pull/aren’t fully leash trained are a no-go. Additionally, I’ve done pet sitting for guinea pigs and rabbits for 1-3 day periods! I work part time and do most work from home, so I’m continuously available all week. My home is right next to the W&OD trail, so walks are convenient all times of day and the trail is never crowded. I’m always happy to drive pets to the trail as well. My cat remains entirely indoors, but the dog has endless pits of energy and so spends lots of time outside. We have two fenced areas, one specifically for the dog and another for the pool, along with ~1 acre of unfenced yard.
“Celina was excellent! There was a miscommunication on my part, but Celina handled it with so much understanding and she did a wonderful job with our very hyper Aussie. She sent us photos and updates at every check-in. I would highly recommend her for drop in visits.”
About: I grew up on a small farm and currently live with one sweet cat and two fun pups! I’ve house sat and worked with a wide range of animals- from dogs and cats to fish and farm animals- often caring for multiple pets at once. I’m flexible, dependable, and always willing to adapt to each pet’s routine and personality. I’ve just finished a work contract and have a flexible schedule for the next few months. I’m available most days and can easily adapt to your pet’s routine! I care for pets in their own home to keep them comfortable. I take great responsibility in respecting your home and space, follow routines closely, and provide dependable care with regular updates!
“Karen left a great first impression with my kitty and I! She asked and answered all our questions, spent some nice cuddle time with Mister, and gave me confidence about her future visits. Many thanks Karen!”

Nancy is awesome and really provides great information on how your pet/s are doing, including their activity level, eating habits, and pottie hanits the only time well you are away. We have used her twice for our two cats and have been very happy and very comfortable leaving them in her care. ❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 2,362 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Wheatland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wheatland. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
