“Aimee - was very easy to communicate with, responsive and professional. I felt my kitties were well taken care of while I was gone. Really appreciated Aimee’s flexibility on when to come over. All in all great experience!”

“Maria did a wonderful job caring for my cat while I was away! She is such a kind and calming presence, which I know put my cat at ease without me there. Updates were frequent and very detailed, giving me so much peace of mind. I highly recommend booking with Maria and I for sure will be again!”

“Phoebe came in like a true miracle worker after our original pet care plans fell through she is AWESOME! We have two dogs of polar opposite energy levels and she took wonderful and thoughtful care of both of them.”

“Riley did a fantastic job taking care of our two cats while we were out of town. She was able to come by on short notice to pick up the keys and asked all the right questions to make sure everything was covered. Both of our cats seemed to really like her, and I loved that she sent lots of photos during the stay. I'd absolutely recommend Riley and would happily have her cat-sit for us again.”

“Colleen did a wonderful job taking care of my dog so I could go to an important business meeting. Trixie is young, lively, and had only been with me three days when Colleen came to sit for her. Colleen is very knowledgeable about dogs and had Trixie under control and doing obedience exercises when I left for my meeting. Thanks so much Colleen! I was able to concentrate on business and not worry about my new doggie.”

“Mya was AMAZING! She was so thoughtful and thorough. She offered to come by and meet our kitties before we left, which was so wonderful. She was super attentive to all of our crazy cat parent concerns. She was also super communicative the whole time, and sent us lots of pictures! We have a cat that is super shy and barely comes out for friends or family, let alone strangers, but Mya got her to play and spend time with her. Will definitely be hiring her again and would recommend to anyone looking for a caring sitter!”

“Brittany was amazing with my nearly three month old puppy, Ruby! She kept Ruby busy with a walk and playing with all of Ruby’s toys, and by the end of the visit, Ruby was all tired out (which was the goal)! I can’t thank Brittany enough and will certainly be using her again!”

“It was our first time using Rover and using a sitter/walker for our puppy and it was great! I had a busy 2 days and I was unable to be home all day so Jon came twice each day and walked, fed, and played with my pup for an hour each visit. He maximized the time he had and followed any rules I had (due to my pup being so young he can’t explore as much just yet ). I had some anxiety about leaving my puppy for the first time since he’s only 14 weeks old but Jon made it easy. Highly recommend!!”

“Simone was great! She was right on time, did all the little things we asked of her, and most importantly, played a lot with our very energetic pup! She also provided lots of fun pics and videos.”

“Sammi did an awesome job taking care of Dixie! I really appreciated the pictures, videos, and detailed updates; put my mind at ease! Thank you, Sammi!”

“Michaela did a week of drop ins with our pup, Bastille! She was very communicative, leaving us funny updates after every walk and many photos and videos! Michaela was always on time and our dog clearly loved her. We ran into Michaela at the park after she started doing our mid day walks and Bastille ran right for her! We will definitely be reaching out to Michaela again!”

About: I have years of personal experience caring for animals, including training my own golden retriever, Prince, who’s now almost 10. I started training him as a puppy, and I still love teaching him new tricks to keep him engaged, happy, and to improve our bond. Prince has also received care from Rover sitters, so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust. I have high standards for how he’s treated, and I bring that same level of care and attention to every pet I look after. I’m patient, kind, and always focused on making sure every pet feels safe and happy. I love getting to know each animal’s unique personality and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for, just like I do with my own dog. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine right now because I’m in college and have lots of free time over the summer. I am able to dedicate my days to giving pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. During visits, I always make sure pets feel safe and comfortable by taking things at their pace. I give them plenty of attention, follow all care instructions carefully, and keep their space clean and secure. I am attentive to all pets' needs, whether it’s going for a walk, playtime, feeding, or just providing company.

“Taylor did a great job of dropping in on our Tucci, feeding her, supplying water, playing with her, and giving her a short walk. It eased her separation anxiety considerably and she was in good shape when we returned.”

“Daniel did great with our shy and cautious dog. He warmed up to him surprisingly quick, which we took as a great sign. Daniel left the home clean and did everything as instructed. His daily drop-in notes were informative and thorough. We would definitely book him again in the future.”

“Aislyn was wonderful with our puppy Scout. She was super responsive, on-time, and provided great pictures and write-ups of our visit. That was especially important to us as Scout is our first puppy and we were nervous about leaving her home alone for the first time. Scout always looked so happy in the pictures and when we came home from work!”

“Lexy and Robert were super awesome caring for my sweet baby Nova. They were very responsive and always made me feel like she was in good hands. My go-to in Clarendon!”

About: I have taken classes in dog behaviors and how they act when they might need a particular action done. I have a NAPPS certification, which is National Association of Professional Pet Sitters that is earned for all small animals, both including dogs and cats. I have had my own very young puppy, so I know how to handle and train them in a gentle manner that they will respond to. I have tons of experience in senior dogs and cats, so I am patient to more slow animals or paying attention to them more and making sure they have what they need. I have an extremely open schedule and can stay over for longer periods of time than most people. I am free almost every single day for hours on end, so finding when I can come over is no trouble. I’m easy to schedule if I need to house sit, and am extremely responsible and willing to stay overnight when needed. I love taking care of animals in their own homes, knowing they’ll feel the most comfortable surrounded by their familiar surroundings. The only thing I care about is that your furry companions are safe and cared for in a way that they don’t feel out of place or missing the love they got before you left them in my care.

About: I have 2 dogs of my own with my family (Ages 2 and 9) and began fostering dogs of all ages and breeds at the beginning of COVID. Along with fostering at Wolf Trap, I have volunteered there at the shelter as well. Along with fostering, I have watched dogs and cats for my family/friends as well. I'll be a senior at JMU in the fall so I am home from college. I currently do not have any other jobs so I'll have a lot of flexibility. I probably won't have any other pets at my home due to my younger dog- he only does well with certain dogs. But I am happy to do whatever is asked at your home.
