Whether you’re looking for someone to check in on your pup to feed, give bathroom breaks, groom, or play with, I’m available morning, afternoon and evening! The same applies to kitty owners! I always make sure all fenced in homes are securely locked in the event a dog wants to play outside. All leashes and collars will be checked before walks, and if your dog isn’t friendly with other dogs I will be sure to maintain a safe space between myself and other owners. As for cats, I always make sure that all doors are quickly closed and closed all the way to prevent any indoor kitties from escaping. If your cat is outdoor/indoor, I’ll make sure they get back inside safe and sound!

About: Hi! I’m Cora, a student majoring in Food Science in Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I grew up in Arlington and will be staying here for the rest of the spring and summer. As a lifelong caretaker and lover of animals, I am really excited to join Rover and show some love to the pets here. I have always been obsessed with animals, and my experience in a variety of contexts makes me confident I can give your pet the best possible care while you’re away. I practically grew up in my local animal shelter, reading to rescue cats and waiving adoption fees through bake sales. As soon as I was old enough, I became an official volunteer, responsible for socializing animals, walking dogs, and adhering to the highest safety and sanitation standards. I became certified in rescue pet welfare through the Fear Free Shelter program, giving me the knowledge necessary to put shy dogs at ease. I also foster puppies through the Lost Dog Rescue foundation, giving me a firm grasp on the needs of younger dogs, from potty training to administering medication. Need a sitter for an exotic pet? No problem! In high school, I took a Career and Technical Education class in the advanced small animal sciences. I gained hands-on experience with countless pet species, from leopard geckos to chinchillas to cockatiels (and everything in between!) I also wrote a research report on the welfare of the school’s rabbits, taught the class cats how to high-five, and became certified in pet first aid through the National Association of Pets and Pet Sitters. Most recently, when my pair of 8-week-old foster puppies fell ill, I took them to the vet and learned how to administer various oral medications. I provided care at all hours of the day and night, successfully nursing them back to health. I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. “Briana was amazing with our dog! You could tell our dog was comfortable with her out the gate. I usually send my dog with toys because i'm never too sure but Briana had it all! Toys, bowls and blankets! She kept me up to date and sent pictures as well! 10/10 recommend and will be using her services again! :)”

“Alyce gave Jenny a great stay. Regular photos and periodic updates. Nice back yard and open spaces so she could do her dog thing outside, but lots of love in the house. It almost seemed like Jenny didn’t want to come home; practically a family member in Alyce’s home after three nights. Would recommend and plan to use Alyce’s Rover services again.”
“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Leo! John was absolutely amazing — from the very start he was super responsive and so kind. Leo can be picky about rain, lazy when it’s hot, and a little particular about his eating (clean dish every time!), but John handled everything so wonderfully. He made sure Leo got his walks (adjusting for weather!), gave him all the love, and kept us constantly updated with sweet photos and notes that really gave us peace of mind while we traveled. Coming home to such a happy and relaxed pup says it all. Truly grateful for the care, attention, and thoughtfulness John showed. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone to love their pup like family!”
