My family adopted our first cat when I was in high school. Gru was a completely regal cat, happy to be waited upon, the king of the house. It wasn’t long after he joined the family that I absolutely fell head over heels for all of catkind. Soon Joey joined the family, happy to be second in command and Gru was happy to have an admirer. I went to school, moved away, but continued to care for the cats I came across. My sophomore year of college, I took in a cat I had found roaming the campus and found their owner. Years later, I spent time taking care of an elderly cat, taking her to the vet and helping with medications. That same family also had a cat with behavioral problems...he would pee on everything! A few months into the stay, he never did it again. This wasn't magic, but it was about making him comfortable enough in the house so that he didn't need to mark his territory. “Nyla and Corey took excellent care of my pets while I was visiting my brother in Alexandria. They were able to accommodate a last minute request due to an unforeseen work situation I was in. Corey was able to pick up my pups and bring them home which was a huge help, as I am not very familiar with the DC Metro area in addition to the horrific traffic. They sent me photos during the day to let me know how my dogs were doing, which was great as I am a helicopter pet parent. What began as a last minute doggy day care issue became a blessing as I will always utilize Corey and Nyla in the future when visiting my brother in Alexandria. I should also mention that I have a bossy female toy poodle Lu and a mini Aussie puppy Finn. They are both well trained but get super excited being around new people and Finn needs mental and physical stimulation throughout the day. They both came home to me happy and sleepy, I know that Finn would not be sleepy if he did not get the stimulation that he needs especially at this stage of his life. Thank you, Corey and Nyla! I appreciate you both so much and would give you more than 5 stars if I could! I will be a repeat customer, hopefully not last minute next time! Thanks again for caring for my babies!”

She has a really cute ground level apartment right next to the Ballston Commons, and it has access to a fenced in shared yard for bathroom breaks. Daisy takes a moment to warm up to new people, but she quickly befriended Amanda and it took some effort when I came to pick her up to get Daisy to leave her curled up spot on the couch next to Amanda. ❣️. About: I have taken care of dogs for over 20 years- I am great with all breeds and have a knack for training puppies (and older dogs too!) I am working from home and live right along a beautiful pet friendly park! I go on walks and runs throughout the day so love taking pups out with me! I ensure dogs are well taken care of and have experience administering different medications to dogs (including allergy injections) and following dietary restrictions or other needs. I show a lot of love and affection to pups and will keep them occupied and hopefully burn some of their energy playing and going on walks/runs!

My pup goes on a 30-60min walk or fetch in the fenced s hook fields near me around 7.30-8, eats around 10.30am with a quick walk outside soon after. She naps and is free to play. Last walk and dinner is around 6.30-7.30. Jade sleeps in her crate beside my bed. I’m able to give as much attention to her as needed because my schedule is flexible. I am very tidy and keep hazards away from the pups. I use dog-safe cleaning products. I also have a nest doorbell camera to monitor those coming and going. Plants are out of reach. About: I’ve loved dogs since as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always the friend who would come over and play withy friend’s dogs as much as possible since we couldn’t have one due to allergies (my dad). I have plenty of experience taking care of dogs, as I got my own puppy in summer of 2022. My dog is super social/friendly with other dogs and loves to play all day long. I also frequently watch my friend’s dogs whenever they are out of town. You pup will be treated as if they are part of my family! I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, so your dog will be in good hands no matter what! Just let me know any specifics for care and I’ll be sure to take the best care of them! I primarily work from home during the week, so I’ll be around to watch your pup during the day and night! Weekends I am also available to watch the pups! I typically am flexible on whether I leave the dogs home alone and for how long, so just let me know what works for you! I live in a house with a fenced in yard and have one dog of my own who is very social around other dogs. There’s also quite a few parks/fields around me where I typically take my dog, so your pup can get plenty of exercise! We take our dog out 3-4 times a day, but can be flexible for your pets needs! We also have a crate if needed, but we do not crate our dog whenever we leave him at home. We do allow our dog on the furniture (even though he never snuggles us), but can be flexible for whatever you prefer. We also have a doggy camera to keep a close eye on the pups when we aren’t there.

About: Growing up I always owned animals as I love all kinds of animals from big to small. Leo can be picky about rain, lazy when it’s hot, and a little particular about his eating (clean dish every time!), but John handled everything so wonderfully. He made sure Leo got his walks (adjusting for weather!), gave him all the love, and kept us constantly updated with sweet photos and notes that really gave us peace of mind while we traveled. Coming home to such a happy and relaxed pup says it all. Truly grateful for the care, attention, and thoughtfulness John showed.
