“Couldn’t ask for better care of our pups. This was Theresa’s 2nd time staying with our dogs which can be a handful. This trip was for 10 days and it was almost like we were never gone as judged from the dogs’ behavior upon our return. She kept in touch sharing pics of our pups throughout. It’s wonderful traveling knowing your pets are being well cared for!”

About: I grew up around all types of pets, from dogs to birds to lizards to cats. For as long as I've known, I've fed bearded dragons crickets and ran alongside happy pups. I absolutely love animals, and am happy and willing to work within any routines and structures pre-set for your pets. As a recent college graduate, my time is very flexible - I'm available for whenever you need me. I'm dedicated to clear and open communication about my time. Providing you and your pet with the least stressful pet care experience possible is my goal. I'd love to meet your pet, learn their routines, quirks, and learn anything that's required for their care and your peace of mind.
“Zoey was great- sent many photos of the dogs and took great care of them. Very trustworthy to have in our home while we were away too. I would book with her again.”

“I was super nervous having someone new stay with Zorro, because it’s been a long time. Due to a new nephew who wanted to make an early entrance to the world, I had to find someone on short notice. Linda has been amazing! We were able to do a meet and greet right away. She has been so patient and flexible, even adding an extra day so I could stay to help family. She took great care of Zorro and kept me updated. I am very grateful and would definitely recommend her to take care of your fur babies!”

“Linda is an absolute angel. Our rescue Fritz was diagnosed with heart worm disease recently and the vet appointment for his treatment happened to be when we needed to be out of state for my husband and I’s wedding. Our dog was a stray before we got him and has a difficult time warming up to people. We were searching high and low for someone who had experience with anxious dogs and caring for pets with medical needs and found reviews for Linda’s clients who also had pets who were shy or had medical needs. Linda not only kept up on all his medications but also took him to and from the vet for his appointment AND followed up with the vet after to ensure he was receiving the best care. I can’t begin to describe the blessing it was to know our furry son was taken care of and loved while we were away. She sent photos regularly and when I checked in (I tend to worry and check in a bunch) she responded immediately. When we got delayed on our trip home she did not hesitate to stay and keep him company. If you are a pet parent who loves your pet as if it were your only child, I promise you your pet will be in good hands with Linda.”

“Sue, was an absolute dream to work with! Our trip was made so much better y knowing she was taking such amazing care of our furry family back home. Coming home to an immaculate house was also a treat. Thank you Sue!”

“Lance and his wife were the perfect house and dog and cat sitters we could ask for! They really cared for our pets and left our house as clean if not cleaner then they found it! They kept us up to date with photos and messages to assure us that all was well with our pets. They will help give you peace of mind knowing your pets are in good company while you are away.”

About: I have taken care of all sorts of dogs and worked in many different animal atmospheres from rescues, humane societies, to Grooming salons and Boarding facities. I have been a reliable contact for family, friends, and have acquired clients from previous jobs. I have been a pet owner for over 15 years and have plenty of experience with care taking, administering medications, and just loving our fur babies!!! I Pets and Animals ate my passion. I would live to grow and expand to really center my work life around pets and making them feel lo ed or tending to them while Mom and Dad are away. I will follow any detailed instructions i may get for any pet. I do not have fenced in area so that is the main reason I want to travel to clients homes. I have used a leash and or lead to keep dogs in yards as well. I will do whatever a pet parent needs.
“Rachel’s flexibility and going above and beyond for me and Diamond both has been invaluable. I didn’t have to worry about her at all while I was gone. So grateful I found her !”
“Leah was absolutely incredible. She stayed with our babies while we were gone for 4 days. No doubt we will have her watch them again. She’s truth worthy and kept us updated. 10000000/10”

About: I have three dogs that I've raised on my own since puppies. An Australian Shepherd (9), an American Bulldog Boxer (8) & a Shihpoo (2). I also have 2yr old and 10m old girls but go with their dad on the weekends. I work from home but leave a couple times a week for meetings! I do not walk the dogs they run around the yard and entertain each other. I have a fenced yard! Small but cozy home. Dogs are free to lounge wherever they please. I do not own a dog kennel! Bring your own if you’d like. 😋 I will send multiple updates and photos!
About: I am a lover of all living things. I prefer to scoop up bugs and spiders instead of smooshing them. I have great empathy towards dogs and cats. Us hoomans don’t deserve them. I’m ready to spoil yours! I do work in a busy doctors office Monday thru Friday 9-5, however I am available evenings, nights and weekends and excited to care for your furbabies. I lease a townhome in a townhome community. I do not have a fenced yard but have a yard and a great neighborhood to take them out for their potty breaks and a great walk.
“Paloma is wonderful! Our dogs love her and love being able to stay at home when we’re away. She communicates regularly and we would definitely love to book with her again!”

“I needed an in-house dog sitter on short notice, and Traci did a great job. She came over before I left and met Marcie and Spike. Marcie is 14 years old and has several meds every day, plus a special diet, and she got just what she needed. My trip lasted a week, and I had no worries at all. Highly recommend!”
“We can't say enough of how much we appreciate Jack and Kate. They came to our rescue last minute when another sitter left us with zero notice the day before we were flying out for two weeks. They were excellent with our pups and kept us showered in pics of them. We have a difficult dog, and we can tell he was very well taken care of. Thanks again - you saved our trip!”

“Betti was great Shadow loved her she sent me a update every day, and my neighbor told me she walked shadow twice a day, more than I requested, I will be hoping she’s available the next time I need a sitter.”

FAQs for House Sitting - Weston
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 630 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Weston. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Weston walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Weston maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Weston choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Weston. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
