He had to be taken to the hospital, had emergency surgery, and is still hospitalized. Our other son and his family work full-time and couldn't stay at night. I made arrangements with Michael from a cruise ship in the Eastern Caribbean, which meant we couldn't do a meet and greet ahead of time. Our other son met up with Michael to introduce him to the dogs. Michael took great care of our dogs and our home while we were gone. He was very communicative. I’ve used Rover once in the past and had an awful experience with two different people canceling on me a day and two days before my trip and then the sitter that finally agreed to watch them, canceling on me after I left for my trip. My dogs can be super crazy at first and need some time getting used to someone new. Mariia came over once to meet them for a bit and then came over early the day I was leaving to spend some time with them before I left and that really helped my dogs get comfortable with her. I definitely over worry any time I’m away from my dogs and stress about whether they’re being good, but she stayed in contact with me every day sending messages and photos and it really helped me to enjoy my vacation and not worry about my dogs. I’m so happy I’ve finally found someone that I can rely on to watch them when I go on vacation. I can’t recommend her enough.”
