I grew up with mid-size dogs and frequently watched smaller dogs for family friends in Pittsburgh. After moving upstate, I became a devoted cat dad to my black cat, Lola, for four years. I currently work remotely as a freelancer, which gives me the flexibility to drop in or house-sit for quality time with your pets during the day. I don’t just walk dogs; I use every visit as an opportunity to build confidence, improve focus, and reinforce leash manners. My approach is built entirely on modern, science based Positive Reinforcement and LIMA (Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive) principles. I believe in rewarding behaviors we want to see, helping dogs learn safely, without the use of intimidation or aversive tools. I am currently completing dog training and behavior studies through the CATCH Academy curriculum. This ongoing education ensures your dog is in the hands of an informed and committed professional. I currently work part time on Sundays and Wednesdays, so I have plenty of time during the week to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care. I focus on leash manners during every walk to ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience. I can work with dogs on impulse control skills to help reduce pulling through positive reinforcement and force free training methods. If your dog has any triggers I will work to maintain distance and reward when calm to ensure success and keep stress to a minimum for your pup.

About: As a professional, certified dog trainer and k9 handler for the last 20 years I am the premier doggie boarding, sitting, walking and training in the Hudson Valley. Canine communication is our speciality and we love teaching our clients how to speak dog! I love your pet like our own and our clients become part of our family for life! We do not whisper, we translate. Our world revolves around DOGS. I exclusively offer walking, boarding, training, daycare and drop in visits full time. If it isn’t dogs I don’t do it! PS I also will love your kitty or farm animals too! We have a fully fenced in yard, live on 15 acres and have both crates and kennel runs for pups who prefer not to be as social or for in heat or intact dogs. We do have a toddler who is dog savvy and our pack of pups who love to play and entertain. We have a three floor house so plenty of room for those persnickety pups who’d like their space. About: I have had pets my whole life and hold animals dear to my heart! I LOVE spending time with them and making them happy. I have cared for dogs and cats for years and am very patient with them. I have a fenced in yard. I would prefer to avoid bringing clients pets into my home because I have 2 cats. But if the dog is friendly enough and has experience with cats I would consider it. My house is fairly big. It has a basement and attic, with 2 floors they’d have room to run and play. I have a medium sized yard so there would be room for them to run and play. I also have a safe street to bring them on walks. I pet sit full time. I’m looking to gain more clients so please book me. I spend my time practicing yoga, studying holistic health, caring for my own cats, reading or creating… so I am able to shift my schedule around easily to fit your needs! My home is cozy and safe with lots of room to run around and comfy furniture to sleep on! I keep the windows open and do not use toxic products in my house.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, I have owned and cared for multiple breeds of dogs and cats, big and small, and been a pet sitter for friends and family on and off for the last 10 years. As a result of my experience as a pet parent and sitter I am very comfortable with most breeds. I also have limited experience training full grown dogs as well as puppies. I am available for walks, check-ins, or pet sitting every day. I am also available for boarding on a case by case basis. My work schedule allows me to be present for most of the day, so I can remain attentive and take plenty of walk and play breaks. During the times that I am gone I am able to crate them if that is your preference or they can have free access to the main part of the house and I will check in on them regularly through the doggie cams. I am able to dog sit in your home as well as in my own home, which has a large amount of indoor space that they can roam around in, as well as a partially fenced back yard that they can play in on a long leash with my supervision. I have plenty of time for walks and play breaks during the day. And during the few hours a day that I am out of the house, they can be crated, or they can roam around the main part of the house. I check in on them every half hour through the doggy cams set up in the house. I am comfortable walking, feeding, and if necessary, providing medication on the schedule and in the manner that you prefer.
