About: I Work nights! I am off Thursday and Friday nights. I've rasied my 80lb. Female dog from when she was 4 weeks old to about 6 years. I'm very active and love to take my dog out for runs. Very disciplined and have taught my big girl to behave politely in NYC. I've taken care of huskies and smaller dogs like chihuahuas and poodles for neighbors as well! I work overnights and just moved to an Tamnersville. I would love to walk or just spend time with a dog. My dog is home on staten island with family and I miss spending time with dogs so much! Hygiene and cleanliness at home are priority. A lot of canine care is knowing what each dogs' wants and needs are. Each dog will communicate to you what they want and need. About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

I'm used to structuring my day with animals in mind, especially my own cats and hermit crabs. Being attentive to animals' behaviors and needs is second nature to me, and I always make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and consistency throughout the day. When you leave your pet in my care, you're not just hiring someone to feed or walk them - you're trusting me with a member of your family. I take that responsibility seriously. About: I have always had a special connection with dogs. I grew up with dogs and treated them like part of the family. I have been primarily working as a pet nanny for 5 years for someone who traveled to Europe on a monthly basis. They are staying in Europe indefinitely so I am looking to add some new clients. I can offer your dogs fun playtime and a sense of stability by caring for them in their own environment. I am also available for walks and drop in visits. I send pictures and updates daily. Your best friend will be spoiled and pampered with me. I have a very flexible schedule with plenty of availability as this is my main job. I can also do long term sitting up to 6 weeks if necessary. About: I was raised in a positive pet friendly family environment and had my own dogs and cats for more than twenty years. I can handle large, medium, and small dogs and will look to give them long walks and lots of exercise as a good dog is a tired dog. I work full-time but have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends to feed, walk, play fetch, or just hang out with your dog. I am happy to come to your home and walk your dog and or play at a local dog park, I am familiar with dogs from Yorkshire Terriers and Kings Charles Spaniels to Rottweilers and German Shepards.
“Kate has a very warm demeanor and my first impression when I brought our dog Astrid over to her house for a meet and greet before boarding, was that she would care for our dog as if she were her own. Astrid is usually quite anxious when she’s first introduced to a new person and a new environment, but she appeared to be more at ease much quicker with Kate at her house than she typically is. Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. We will certainly reach out to Kate again when planning future boarding accommodations for our sweet Astrid.”
