“My pups absolutely love getting to hang with DeeAnna. As soon as we pulled up to the driveway today, they got so excited! DeeAnna sends me detailed updates throughout the day, always making me feel like my pups are in the best hands when they’re not at home! Exceptional communication, flexibility and care!”

“I’m so lucky I found Yvonne, and so is my dog Cora. Yvonne gets the over-and-above award, in how she has been there for us under shifting circumstances. I trust her 1000% to keep my dog safe, loved and happy. It is very clear that she is genuinely invested in her clients, four- or two-legged. She Immediately became a shining light in Cora’s life, and a happy dog makes for a happy mom. Some people have this gift, and Yvonne has it. Where they just know instinctually how to connect, and pet/pat, and sweet-talk an animal in the first moment of meeting them, so the animal can trust, and start relaxing. That offers peace of mind to us hectic pet parents. But get this! Somehow Yvonne also has that gift with people, too. I have not met a better communicator in this business. So… I guess in a nutshell, I highly highly highly recommend her. She’s my #1, and Cora’s #1. (Well, Cora loves her best, after me of course!)”

“Krysten is the best! We feel so safe leaving our Lucy with her. Krysten is very prompt, extremely responsive, and very friendly. We've used her to walk and board Lucy over the last few months and have no complaints.”

About: I am from a family of dog lovers and dog rescuers! I have grown up with mostly big doggies, but have often times taken care of my friends'/neighbors' little pups too. There isn't a day, where I won't stop and just chit chat with a pup, that merely walks by me! I also owned a pet-sitting and house-sitting business, for 23 years, so I have helped care for some doggies, their entire lives. I love them all so much! I'm currently unemployed, but have a company that I can run from anywhere. I have great flexibility and time to play with your fur babe!
“Lanuola was amazing and Poscow enjoyed his stay very much! She shared multiple pics and played with Poscow throughout the day. Overall, an amazing stay for Poscow. Would be my first preference to take care of Poscow!!”

“Wonderful sitters. They really worked at understanding and respecting Deja's sweet and spicy personality. Deja had a great time and I felt very comfortable leaving her in their care.”

“Marshelle was so wonderful to work with!!! So accommodating to our schedule for the 2 days we needed her and the random pick up/drop off times. My pups didn’t get upset going the 2nd day so that was a very good sign they were comfortable at her home.. We are so very happy we found her & met the family as we have been looking for a good sitter to use on random get aways & more... will be booking again with her in the future! Thank you Marshelle ?”

“Kathy and her family took great care of our little dog with a big personality! Major Tom is a rescue who generally has a lot of separation anxiety, but he was happy and relaxed in Kathy's home. My husband and I are SO relieved to find this family so we can enjoy our time away without being preoccupied worrying about our little buddy.”

“Stella had a great time playing with the other dogs there in the large fenced yard. Janelle and Travis were very nice and were able to help us on short notice. We will keep them on our short list for dog sitting needs.”

“Ashley and her husband were awesome. My other Rover had cancelled on me and she accepted a very last minute request. She was responsive and sent updates throughout the day. Would totally book again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of many types of dogs and cats from pugs, to raising my 4 year old English cream golden retriever from 2 months to now, to a Bernese mountain dog! Friends and family rely on me to take care of their pets when I am away and I’m all for it! Let me know how I can best serve you and your furry family members! I’m currently attending Yale’s PA program. Most days vary depending on the schedule but I am available for potty breaks. During the evening I will be home and available. Weekends I love to spend outside and would be more than happy to take your pet along! Message me with questions! I have quite a bit of skill with a range of dogs and have learned quite a bit with my golden from puppy age to now (who is rambunctious as you can imagine!) I care for other peoples pets as I would my own.

“Marlene is someone I trust to take good care of my dog. She took care of my sweet Potato for three days and he came home happy and tired from all the play with other dogs. It is nice to know he is in good hands with Marlene.”

“Goose had a GREAT time with Elena and Klemheist. He came home a happy and sleepy puppy. Elena helped me out last minute after my previous sitter had to cancel and I could not be more thankful. I’ll definitely be using Elena next time I need doggy daycare or boarding for Goose.”

“Logan is the best!! I took a chance through Rover and found Logan. She has 2 dogs and Sage is now Tuckers girlfriend. Words can not describe what a wonderful person Logan is and Tucker starts barking before we make it around the corner to her home. He is so excited!! She is the best!!!”

“Having Jiahna care for Gideon has been a real pleasure. She was very helpful and flexible as we did a meet and greet and evaluated if Gideon would be a good fit. She took time to ask really good questions about Gideon and learn all she could so it's the better care for Gideon. From the get-go, Gideon loved being at her house and sharing time with her puppy. It was a good fit. I always knew that Jiahna had Gideon's best in mind, and I always got good reports at the end of the day. So very glad that I got to meet and have Gideon stay with Jiahna. I highly recommend her as a safe and professional Rover person for your canine needs. Gideon will miss her for sure and I have really appreciated the care and great connection that she showed in caring for Gideon. 💜🐕”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your West Lake Stevens commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
