About: Whether your dog is ready to jog, walk, or sunbathe I will love and care for them the whole time. I will also brush them and I always check for ticks. I have two boys ages 20 and 13. I am available most days and my schedule is pretty flexible. I can come over anytime between 6am and 7pm on most days. I can care for your pet in your home or I can take them for a ride or a walk. I will always brush your dog’s fur and teeth - if they are into that! They will come home happy and tired.

About: Please note: our beloved golden retriever, Charlie, has been diagnosed with a heart tumor and pulmonary hypertension. We are on a hiatus from dog sitting for this period of time while we care for him and give him all the love we can for the time we have left with him. We will update our calendar as we’re able, and look forward to a return to sitting when it is appropriate. Thank you for understanding. We are a dog loving family with experience from puppyhood to senior care. We’ve raised dogs from breeders and we’ve fostered/rescued. One of our beloved pups had a severe genetic heart disease, so we’ve dealt with medical conditions and the accompanying drugs and modified care they require. Through all of our canine experiences, we’ve learned that dogs thrive with consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of love and affection. Our two retrievers are a huge part of our family, and we look forward to your pup falling in with our routines like he/she is one of our own. I work from home Monday-Friday. Your dog(s) would spend their weekdays joining our two dogs either curled up at my feet or playing in our fenced-in backyard. On weekends and evenings they’ll enjoy the extra company of our dog-loving teenagers, who will spoil them rotten with walks, playtime, and lots of attention! We have a big, fenced in yard so the dogs will get plenty of outdoor time. For the most part, your dog(s) will have free rein to be with our family and our dogs doing whatever we’re doing — but we do have several crates and portable fences that we can use as needed to provide separation and quiet time. We want your dog to be comfortable and happy in our home, so we’ll work closely with you before your visit to make sure we understand his/her habits and routines!

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have been professionally caring for animals for 5 years now! I can house sit and/or watch any animals. I am available every day of the week. About: Hey, I’m Lucas! I’m from South Kingstown, RI, and I’ve been around animals my whole life. Right now, I live with two dogs, two cats, guinea pigs, and even some reptiles, so I’m pretty used to taking care of a variety of pets. Currently, I’m a full-time security guard supervisor and a full-time student at URI. While my schedule is busy, Rover allows me to combine my love for animals with the flexibility I need to support myself through college. I’m here to do what I love: care for pets, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy while you’re away. About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown. I have raised and taken care of cats, dogs (from puppies to senior pets), and guinea pigs as well. I am currently a college student, so when I am not in class I will be able to watch and take care of your pets, and can house sit on weekends if needed. when I am house sitting, I care for your pet as if they are my own, and any household rules will be followed as if you never left.

About: I’ve been working professionally with animals since 2018, starting with pet sitting and dog walking. Over the years, I discovered a deep passion for understanding canine behavior, which led me to pursue a formal education in dog training. In 2024, I became a certified professional dog trainer and founded my business, Adventure Dog RI, which specializes in adventure hikes and training for dogs. I share my life with a variety of animals—including dogs, cats, chickens, a horse, and a lizard—and bring that same level of care and dedication to every pet I work with. I’m committed to using humane, science-backed training methods and continuously pursue education to ensure the care I provide is always ethical, effective, and rooted in respect for each animal’s individual needs I work part-time as a supervisor at a local pet store, in addition to running my own business, Adventure Dog RI. My day revolves around my personal and client dogs, whether it is feeding time, walks, hikes, or training sessions — I am here for you and your dog! My methodology is deeply rooted in the belief that all animals deserve compassion and agency. With that being said, I never use corrections, punishment, or intimidation with any animals I work with, big or small. When out on hikes, I am always equipped with a doggy first aid kit, bug spray, travel bowls, water, blaze-orange (when required), and well fitted/reliable equipment such as collars, wildlife bells, longlines, and harnesses. When traveling in the car, dogs are always restrained with seatbelts or ride in the safety of a crate. Safety is the #1 priority at Adventure Dog RI!
