About: I am a nurse practitioner with extensive professional caregiving experience and have had dogs my entire life. It is a gift to be a pet owner. Pets bring us so much joy and in return we get to give that joy back to them! I’m comfortable carefully following feeding schedules, routines and detailed care instructions, as well as administering routine medications. I would be the primary caregiver. What makes my boarding different is that I accept pets from only one visiting household at a time. Your pet won’t be one of several unrelated animals being boarded together. This allows me to provide focused, individualized care and plenty of attention, affection, playtime and companionship throughout their stay. For dogs: I have a friendly Golden Retriever and two cats of my own, so visiting dogs must be reliably cat-friendly and comfortable living around cats. I prefer a meet-and-greet before the first stay to make sure your dog is comfortable in our home and is a good fit with our resident pets. For cats: I welcome cats as well and provide a quiet, comfortable space where they can settle in at their own pace. I accept only one visiting cat at a time, or multiple cats from the same household, allowing me to provide a calm environment and plenty of individual attention. About: New to Rover but not new to caring for animals! I grew up on a farm with lots of animals - dogs, cats, goats, horses, rabbits, chickens, pigs... I've also informally pet sat for friends and neighbors with dogs and/or cats in the past. I've been a cat mom in the past, but I don't have a pet of my own right now. For dog walking, my work from home job allows me some flexibility to stop by and take your pup for a stroll! I can do earlier mornings, a lunch time walk on some days, and evening walks after 5pm. For doggy daycare, I work from home full time at a desk job - if my day is "busy" it just means I had a few more zoom calls than usual. I would absolutely be able to take time to provide potty breaks and maybe a walk around the neighborhood when the weather is good. I live on a main street in town, but there's also a nice quiet neighborhood right behind me with minimal traffic, perfect for a quick walk. I do travel three or four times a year for my job, generally for 3-5 days each time, but I'd be able to give you at least a couple of months advanced notice for those trips - they are never last minute! For doggy daycare, I don't smoke and I have plenty of space for your pup to hang out during the day so they don't feel cooped up - including a wrap around enclosed porch that I can keep secure, and a tall privacy-fenced back yard/garden area. While the yard is fenced, I do get birds and other critters roaming through, and I have a flower garden that could have some toxic plants for over-curious dogs. Because of that, I would not to leave them alone outside, but take those breaks with them. My house does have a fairly steep flight of stairs, so a dog without joint pain or struggles going up and down multiple times a day would be most comfortable. I do have lots of houseplants and some could be toxic - so again, if your dog tends to be curious and take a bite out of plants, I may not be the best fit for you.

“Anne is the best! She very obviously cares a lot about all dogs, but especially the ones in her care. She sent me lots of updates, photos, and videos - possibly more than she normally might because this was the first time I’d ever been apart from my dog and was a little nervous! She asked me great questions and was very considerate; for example asking first if it would be ok to give my dog a certain treat.
