Pet care experience

Caring animal lover and farm boy

Hi there! My name is Clay and my Frenchie’s name is Vana. I am a work from home professional and dog sitter with years of experience caring for all types of pups. I am a huge animal lover and have always had a soft spot for dogs. In fact, I currently have a furry four-legged friend of my own who brings so much joy to my life. I understand that leaving your dog in the care of someone else can be stressful, which is why I go above and beyond to make sure your pooch is well taken care of while you're away. I am reliable, responsible, and will always put the needs of your dog first. When it comes to dog sitting, I offer a range of services including overnight stays, day care, and drop-in visits. I am comfortable with administering medication if needed. I am available for bookings on weekends and holidays and am happy to work with you to create a customized care plan that fits the needs of your dog. If you're looking for a loving and attentive dog sitter, I would be more than happy to care for your furry friend. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or to book my services. I look forward to meeting you and your dog!

This is my 2nd time using Clayton. When we got there, Ember ran right up to him and into his house. Like any dog, Ember is a great judge of dog people and a huge comfort to me. Thank you for looking after Ember.

Clayton was great! He communicated well, kept me updated as the day went on and Ember was happy and exhausted when I picked her up. I would definitely use him again.

Schedule

As someone who works from home, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. I am able to take breaks throughout the day to attend to the needs of the pets in my care, such as providing food and water, taking them for walks, and giving them the love and attention they need. I also make sure to set aside dedicated time for pet care in my schedule. For example, if I am providing overnight stays for a pet, I will plan my work around their needs to ensure they are well taken care of. Overall, pet care is an important and enjoyable part of my daily and weekly routine, and I am dedicated to providing the best care possible to the animals in my care.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in my own home, I make sure to create a comfortable and safe environment for them. This includes providing plenty of fresh water, a clean and cozy place to sleep, and any necessary toys or other amenities. I also make sure to keep a close eye on the pet to ensure their well-being and address any concerns or issues that may arise. When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I follow any specific care instructions provided by the pet owner and make sure to keep the home clean and tidy while the pet is in my care. I also keep a close eye on the pet to ensure their well-being and address any concerns or issues that may arise. Additionally, I am happy to follow any routines or schedules the pet is used to, such as feeding and walk times, to help make their time away from their owner as stress-free as possible.

Pets

A typical day

I love coming up with fun and engaging activities to do with the dogs in my care. Some of my favorite activities include going for long walks in local parks or trails, playing fetch or other interactive games, and spending time at the beach or in the backyard. I also enjoy taking the dogs I watch on special outings, such as hiking, swimming, or visiting dog-friendly cafes or stores. These outings provide a change of scenery and allow the dogs to experience new and exciting things. I am always open to suggestions from pet owners on activities they would like me to do with their dogs and am happy to tailor the care plan to the specific interests and needs of the pet

As a dog sitter, it is important for me to know a variety of information about a dog ahead of time in order to provide the best possible care. Some of the most important pieces of information to know include: Health and medical information: Any medical conditions or special needs the dog may have, such as allergies or required medications. Behaviour and personality: Any quirks or characteristics that make the dog unique, as well as any potential behaviour issues that may need to be addressed. Diet and exercise: The dog's preferred brand and type of food, as well as any special feeding instructions, such as portion sizes or frequency of meals. It is also helpful to know the dog's exercise needs and preferences, such as preferred type of exercise and how much exercise they require. Training and obedience: Any training the dog has received, as well as their level of obedience and any commands they know. Having this information ahead of time allows me to provide the best possible care for the dog and ensure that their needs are met while they are in my care.
