“Cheryle is great! She sent pictures during the day which made us feel very comfortable that our dog was nice and relaxed and enjoys being with Cheryle and her dog. Her house is set up very nice and the backyard too. I would highly recommend Cheryle!”

“Mark & Sylva were great hosts for my dog when we needed a few hours of care while my son toured a nearby college. They were welcoming and kind and did a great job with her. I'd happily book again if we're in Troy in the future. Thank you!”

“We wanted our pup to get more socializing during the day while we are at work and Maegan turned out to be perfect. She is very responsive, flexible with our drop off and pick up times, and very trustworthy. Her and her family are also very kind and sweet and they make a great home for our pup to enjoy during the day. They have a dog of their own and she watches other dogs on occasion as well and everyone gets along great because of Maegan. We can’t thank her enough for how she cares for our dog.”

“Emily was so professional and loving with our best buddy Ebbet. He can be shy and nervous, and Emily was incredibly patient and thoughtful giving Ebbet time and space to acclimate to a new person. She went above and beyond and we are so grateful. Ebbet loved her, and he is choosy with his love 💗”

About: Freedom is my actual birth name (preferred btw) So here at Freedom Cares 🫶🏼 I believe all animals have their own unique level of care needs. I grew up with a variety of furry friends from a very young age. I remember being 3 and hiding in my Nanas room with Kittens and snuggling them trying to feed them with my (dolls play baby bottle) and. My experience with animals Includes dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, donkeys, ducks, turtles, cows, fish and more. Animals are always drawn to my calming energy, regardless of where I am. Farm, fair, friends house, walks, etc. I Firmly believe my Biological mom named me Freedom for a reason. I am a private caregiver to those with disabilities. Therefore my schedule is quite flexible. I can do drop inns, boarding, overnights, walks and more. Some of my clients even enjoy pet therapy. As long as the pet owner is up to that. 😊 As a kid I had many animals and experience with farm life. Including 4H training for dogs. I most recently have experience at a dog daycare. Where we practiced techniques from The Dog Guru. More importantly each animal/client/prospect is different. Therefore, I will follow the clients/animals routine. Whether the animals need long walks and extra attention. Or just a quick drop in and some fresh water. Or extra lovings while their owner is away. Your animal/animals will surely be taken care of.

“Amazing service! Communicates well with me during the day. Sends me photos and feedback. My puppy loves them and is always so happy to see them. I look forward to working with them further.”

About: My love for animals began early on once I rescued my first childhood pet. Throughout my life I have walked and taken care of animals however, my love grew insurmountably when I rescued my first dog (Gordy) myself. Gordy and I loved walking, hiking, going on adventures, and snuggling. Unfortunately, in November 2024 he was diagnosed with a variety of complicated health problems and passed away in April 2025. That journey led me have experience in handling diabetic dogs (giving insulin, being aware of behavioral changes, and giving medication). I also have some experience/knowledge in dog training as Gordy was a canine good citizen. I am acutely aware of how to successfully walk and handle hyperactive pups and love to provide other enriching activities. I am communicative and love interacting with both dogs and humans and I find it important to gain the trust of you as I know all too well how much your pup means to you. I am a licensed mental health counselor who currently works primarily at home. I have a flexible schedule allowing plenty time for a good walk and enrichment while also providing appropriate downtime and attention. While I do live in an apartment, I have access to a number of parks in the Troy area while also willing to travel to surrounding areas for more fun.

“Amazing service! Vera went above and beyond. She was very attentive to Lilly and her needs. So glad that she got to play with Vera’s dogs and that they went on a long walk! We are definitely returning ?”

“Ripley had a wonderful day with Kristine and Flynn! My girl (and myself) has some anxiety quirks, but between Kristine and her husband being such genuine pet loving people, and how great Flynn is with other dogs, it was truly a wonderful experience. Ripley was happy and pooped when she came home! We look forward to our next daycare and sleepover. Thank you so much again, Kristine!”

“Cache always answered messages promptly and provided frequent updates of how Macie was doing while I was at work. She asked questions about the routine, overall habits, and any specific medical issues.. So I felt very comfortable leaving Macie with Cache 🙂↕️. I left Macie with her for the day, and some nights I’ll probably do the same for work; I’m grateful to have someone in Albany that I can entrust my precious Macie with. About: I walked dogs professionally for Philly Fit Dogs for two years and have an additional six years of pet sitting experience. I have walked every type of dog, from super shy and timid to happily rambunctious to Gizmo the chihuahua who deserves his own category. On a typical day walking your dog, I will obviously follow any directions laid out, carry my travel doggie water bowl and water, get any goodies allowed for the walk (if they are allowed). I’m a big proponent of, this is the doggies’ walk, not mine so I will let the goodest boy or girl lead me in whichever direction they like, so long as it’s safe and not into oncoming traffic (Gizmo, I’m looking at you). I will also do my best not to allow strangers to just approach them. I know it can be difficult with how absolutely adorable your furbabies or in Gizmos case his dictator level charisma. Safety is always first and foremost. I am a professional cleaner and manage my own schedule so as long as i have notice I can work any set of hours you need. I am also available for pet sitting. I do not board yet but I will make the safety of you furbabies top priority. A lot of it is just being mindful and aware of your surroundings and potential issues.

About: In my home animals are considered family. I will treat your family with the same love and attention I provide my own. I have cared for animals my entire life, and have experience with large and small dog breeds, cats and birds. Each animal is different and needs to be cared for differently. I will tailor my care plan as appropriate for your baby. I will provide daily updates and photos. If I come into your home, I will notify you upon arrival and departure. In my home I will only provide care for one family’s animals at a time. I am available for in home visits early morning, lunch time and evenings. I work from home full time. In my home the dogs will be provided love and attention daily and be let outside to run in a fenced in yard supervised at minimum ever 2 - 3 hours. Pets will be supervised at all times outdoors Pets will have minimal alone time, but will always have a space available if they choose alone time
