About: Hello! My name is Sam and I love dogs of all breeds. After being on rover and boarding dogs for a couple years, I now have a dog of my own that requires her own space. So now I offer dog walking and drop ins! I am experienced with reactive dogs, such as my own, so walks will be stress free. I am always able to adapt to different dogs needs as well. Ive had experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I work from home most of the time so I can available throughout the day. Whether your dog just needs some company while youre gone or some exercise, I would be happy to help! I work from home most of time and have a very flexible schedule as a salaried worker. I am available for drop in or walks during the day. I play rugby and have practice in the evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays. For drop ins, I am happy to play or give company to your dog or cat in whatever way they want! Since I am meeting them in their home, it is important to make sure they feel comfortable with me. I would never force an interaction if there are signs your pet is uncomfortable. My goal is to make sure they are happy and stress free with a new person in their space.
“Simply put…Sara is amazing. She is kind, detailed, reliable, trustworthy and an excellent communicator! She spent a considerable amount of time caring for our puppy. I would recommend 100 out of 100 times! She’s the first person we will reach out to when we next go out of town. If you want someone who goes above and beyond, then Sara should be your first choice!!!!”

“Joey has been an absolute joy and pleasure to work with. As someone who treats my cat as one of my own, I feel that Joey has really taken the challenge of showing her love, respect and care. He brought in my packages, asked me questions as needed and most importantly I can tell he really loves animals. I will definitely be booking him again and I’m so grateful for the relief that he brought me on my trip during the holidays.”

I currently work part-time on the weekends, so my greatest amount of flexibility is during weekdays. I do my best to schedule during times when I have availability to spend adequate quality time with the pets! Unfortunately due to my own animals I am unable to provide care for other animals from my own home, however I have experience staying in the homes of a variety of other clients which has helped keep their animals comfortable and on their usual schedule.

About: I have experience working with pets of all ages, including seniors, pets with medical needs, and those requiring medications. I'm comfortable identifying signs of illness, administering medications, and caring for pets that may need a little extra care. Beyond that, I understand that every pet is different. Whether your dog loves long walks, your cat prefers quiet company, or your senior pet needs a slower pace, I tailor my care to their individual needs. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, while keeping you updated with plenty of photos and communication. I've built my radius to be within just a few mins of both my home and my place of work at a local animal hospital. I’m used to balancing animal care responsibilities throughout the day, including mornings, evenings, and weekends when needed. For drop-ins and walks, I typically schedule visits around my work shifts and off-hours, making sure pets get consistent care and attention. For house sitting, I plan ahead to ensure I can be present in the mornings and evenings, with time built in before and after work to maintain their routine as closely as possible. Overall, I’m organized and comfortable managing pet care alongside my job, and I prioritize clear communication so owners always know when to expect me and how their pets are doing. I provide all pet care in the client’s home so pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. During drop-ins and house sitting, I follow each pet’s specific care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box cleaning, medication administration, and any special routines they need. I also make sure pets get attention, enrichment, and companionship based on their personality whether that means playtime, calm company, or just checking in and making sure they’re settled. I’m also comfortable monitoring pets for any changes in behavior or health and will always communicate promptly with owners if anything seems off. I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe and cared for while you’re away.
“Forrest was great! He made an initial visit to my house with me present so that my dogs would get acclimated to him, which I appreciated. He was very communicative about when he would be arriving for the scheduled visits and was timely. He always provided multiple pictures of my pups during each visit. I definitely recommend Forrest and will likely hire him again for whenever we need my dogs sitted!”

Words cannot express how helpful the sitters were to Ace. I had to make a last-minute booking and they were able to accept and drop in and treat my animal, another member of our family, with the same level of care that we would treat and give to our pet. They were awfully considerate to our 85 pound baby/doodle. We thank them so much.

This is the second time we’ve trusted her to pet sit for us, and once again she exceeded all expectations! She is truly amazing, outstanding, and exceptional. She takes care of every detail and treats our pets like her own. We received daily updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our pets absolutely adore her, and it’s clear she genuinely loves and cares for animals. I cannot recommend her enough. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and caring to watch your pets, she is the best! 🐾❤️

Alexandra is amazing! She has taken care of our dog twice and always provides excellent care. She had to give a ton of medication to our heart worm positive rescue lab and everything was always done beautifully. She is conscientious and we will continue to use her in the future.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks.
