“Serena took very good care of our new furbaby!! We were a little anxious cuz it was the first time leaving him for a few hours. All was well eI will definitely call on Serena next time.”

“James took wonderful care of my pets and my home as usual. He’s reliable, trustworthy, communicative, and kind. My pets love him so much, I can always travel with peace of mind.”

“Breon is the best!! See my prior reviews for more appreciation for her :) Breon just watched our pups for an extended stay and she was incredible as usual. She always keeps us posted with how the pups are doing and sends such fun photos and videos. Our dogs absolutely adore her! Breon is great with communication and this eases worries when away from our furbabies. We know they’re always in good hands and she treats them like her own. Breon is an absolute gem and we are so glad to have found her to take care of our girls!”

“Our dog received excellent care from Madi for an overnight house sitting. Madi communicated regularly and provided several updates and pictures. Our home was kept clean. Most of all, our dog seemed to have a fun and comfortable experience. We would highly recommend Madi!”

“Emily was great! She sent lots of pictures and made sure my dogs were taken care of while I was out of town, especially when one wasn’t feeling well. I would definitely have her pet sit again!”

“Elizabeth was phenomenal! She sent pictures everyday of my two cats and kept my mind at ease while being away. Also came home to a spotless home and the place better than when we left it! Will 100% rebook in the future for my next trip.”

“Elizabeth took great care of our 2 year old dog, Rory. She was completely reliable, sent lots of pictures, and we could tell he was well loved when we returned home. She left our house very clean and communicated well with lots of pictures while we were away. We will absolutely be using her again!”

“Maddie was fantastic! She was highly proactive with outreach and made sure to ask lots of questions. She was prompt with a meet and greet and made sure to keep our dog comfortable, giving her all the attention needed and handling things according to our instructions. She was kind, responsive and communicative throughout. We came home to a very happy dog - we wouldn’t hesitate a second to have her back over!”

“Danielle was truly heaven sent while we were on our honeymoon. Our dog has special needs and she handled everything like a pro! Our pup even had some tummy troubles while she was there and she went absolutely above and beyond to take care of him until we could get back. We are so grateful to have found Danielle and we will absolutely book with her again!”

About: I've been an animal person my entire life. I grew up helping pet-sit the neighborhood dogs, and my family loved a rescue German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix from the time I was 10 (she was 2) until she was 15 - she watched us grow up and even visited my college house. As an adult, my heart belonged to January, a border collie/American Staffordshire terrier mix I brought home in my late 20s after seeing her story on the news. She was an energetic, clever puppy who taught me patience, consistency, and the value of positive training. We had 13 wonderful years together before she passed in November 2025. Losing January left a hole in my routine and my heart, and i'm not quite ready to adopt again - but i've found real joy and healing in caring for other people's pets. I've recently house-sat and hosted dogs, cats, and birds for friends and family, from puppies and kittens to seniors on medications with special needs. That experience, plus a gentle nudge from the people who suggested Rover, is what brings me here. I've used the same trusted vet since I was a kid and know the ropes - comfortable administering medication, contacting the vet, or getting emergency care if needed. Your pet will be loved, watched closely, and cared for like one of my own. I work a hybrid schedule: two days at home (typically Monday and Friday) and three 8-hour days in an Avon Lake office (Tuesday-Thursday). My schedule is flexible and easy to swap these days. I can use my noon lunch break for midday walks, potty breaks, and playtime if you're within 5-10 miles of my location. I’m available in the evenings after work for walks, feeding & visits. I'm also happy to water plants, bring in mail, and handle other small house-sitting tasks. I live in a cozy Lakewood duplex on the first floor with a front yard and porch my dog loved to lounge on (yard stake leash available for safe outdoor time). I already have bowls, beds, leashes, and other supplies, so your pup won't need to travel with a pile of gear. I can board up to two dogs at a time -any size, any friendly mix - but I don't board cats in my home (happy to care for them at yours).
“Aspen was amazing! She was available for a last minute booking and took great care of our dogs. Our dogs took to her immediately! Both can be a little skittish around new people, but within 5 minutes of meeting Aspen, they were asking for belly rubs! I will definitely be a repeat customer!!”

“Andrea is amazing with our pup!!! We are so thankful to have someone who cares for her like family while we are away. We will continue using her for any of our dog sitting needs.”

“Kaylie is amazing and made sure to give lots of updates and photos. She was a fantastic sitter for my pup and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again in the future!”

“If I could rate her 20 stars I would! She cared for my dog Vito while I was on a vacation and he had so many adventures with her and her dogs. He was very comfy with her both in my home at night and at her house during the day and she followed all my instructions and even gave me some cool new ideas to implement into our relationship with him now.”

“A wonderful job as always! Nallie kept us updated with photos and texts and we were able to enjoy our short trip knowing she was talking care of our fur baby. Thank you Nallie!”
“Megan and Jeremiah were great. It was only one night, but they took great care of my foster dog, Zoey. They left my house prsotiem and even took out my garbage! They were both very friendly and kind.”

“Elizabeth was amazing and took such great care of Gus! She sent pictures and videos and kept us thoroughly updated each day that we were gone. We would be very happy to have Elizabeth sit Gus again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Boulevard
Elizabeth was a godsend when I needed a last-minute cat sitter for my trip, and made the whole experience of leaving my cats and returning a sincere pleasure with great peace of mind. She provided them with excellent care (and they truly enjoyed her, which, being shy, is a rarity), kept good care of my home, kept in touch with regular updates, and brightened my travels and spirits with her sweet presence. I will definitely be booking Elizabeth again - she is reliable, responsible, kind, and wonderful with my two emotionally sensitive and slow to warm up to strangers cats!

James was our savior when I messed up the original animal watching schedule while I was out of town- he handled my pack- with a very large age range- like a champ! He was very communicative and didn’t hesitate to let me know if he had any questions. Would highly recommend!

Leslie stayed with our dog and cat for a week while we were on vacation. She kept us updated throughout the week and our pets seemed very happy and well taken care of when we returned! Leslie left our house in great shape and we will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!

Laura is awesome! She took great care of our dog and provided several updates throughout the week we were gone. She is very easy to communicate with and you can tell how much she genuinely cares for animals. We will definitely be booking her again! Thanks for everything Laura!

Beyond thankful for Raf! We were very nervous first time Rover users who needed in home care for our two dogs, one of which was recovering from an injury and needed extra meds and TLC. Raf immediately made us and the dogs feel at ease during the meet and greet - even our reactive stranger danger dog was able to settle. He communicates frequently, sends pics and updates, and is very responsive to questions. Sadly, he had a family emergency during his sit, and demonstrated exceptional professionalism even during a really hard personal time, staying in touch with us and making sure to still provide excellent care to our pups. Thanks again for making our first Rover experience such a good one.
