About: Labs have been in my life since I was born, but I got my kitten at age 6, so I'll say that's when my real pet care experience began! Animals are such a significant part of my life that I got my bachelor's degree in zoology. I've practiced dairy goat husbandry, studied monkeys in the Surinamese rainforest, and worked as an animal keeper at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Not only do I understand how to care for animals, but I'm a truly playful and active person. There's nothing better than romping around outside with a pup and wearing one another out! That being said, I helped care for my family dog Farrah in her senior years and during that time we shared some of the most tender and mellow moments. If my admiration of pets isn't yet clear, I also paint pet portraits and you can see some in my profile photos. I’m a morning person, up with the sun, so early walks and check-ins are no problem! I also have a hybrid work schedule, which supports my flexibility around pet care. Pets are family members and the magnitude of trust put towards a petsitter is not something I take for granted. I care deeply about helping my clients feel at ease when I'm caring for their beloved pets. I'm meticulous and detail-oriented in everything I do, and that translates to following pet care directions and routines to a T. About: I’m a lifelong dog lover with two large dogs of my own, one energetic and playful and one older, calmer pup. They’re both very social and love making new friends, so if your dog enjoys companionship, they’ll have built in buddies during their stay. We welcome dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’m especially comfortable with large breeds, as my Labrador Retriever is 105 pounds and my Bernese Mountain Dog is 113 pounds, so I’m experienced handling bigger, stronger dogs on walks and during playtime. Your pup will get lots of attention, supervision, and outdoor time throughout the day. I’m also active and love being outside, so whether your dog prefers walks, runs, backyard playtime, or sticking to their normal routine, I’m happy to make sure they feel safe, exercised, and right at home. I love getting to know each pup ahead of time, so I do require at least 3 days notice to allow for a meet and greet before booking. My husband and I both work from home full time, which allows us to provide frequent potty breaks and constant supervision. We also have separate office spaces, so if any dogs need a break from playtime or a calmer environment, we are able to separate them as needed. With two dogs of our own, we are fully stocked with the essentials including toys, treats, water bowls, beds, and more. We also have a fully fenced in yard with a gate, so the dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time without worry.
