“Kassandra took great care of our dog and our home while we were away! I appreciated knowing he got a good walk every day and that someone was there with him. We would definitely ask Kassandra to watch Teddy again!”

“Lauren was amazing with our pups! She sent lots of updates and we were able to enjoy our time knowing that they were well cared for. We will definitely book with her again!”

“I cannot recommend Lauren enough! She is so knowledgeable and caring and handled my reactive dog with ease. The communication and constant updates and photos were amazing and brought so much peace of mind while I was away. Both my pups loved her and were so relaxed when I returned, which has never happened before. I’ll definitely be rebooking!!”

“I think our pupper, Butters, was looking for Miranda when we got home instead of being excited to see us! 🥰 I have complete trust in Miranda, her care, and her judgement. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“Don't hesitate, just book with Nicole! She is a true professional. Our energetic dog and house were both well cared for and we were able to fully relax on vacation knowing everything was taken care of at home. Hoping she is available for all of our future trips.”

“Rebecca is always incredible with our pets. This weekend we unfortunately had a doggy medical emergency and she handled everything so well! Our Aussie is higher medical needs to due his epilepsy at baseline, so throwing in an emergency surgery just added even more difficulty to his care. Rebecca was on top of everything, from the extra meds, to the trip to the vet, to making him special food after his surgery. I would recommend Rebecca for any of your pet sitting needs! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

“Maddox is 22 months old and has a recent epilepsy diagnosis. We are trying to get medications dialed in and learn what the seizure frequency will be. For this reason it is so hard for me to leave him because it is a lot of extra information to navigate. Hannah and Jeff were absolutely amazing. They followed my thorough instructions, responded to my anxious texts, sent pictures and were communicative and reassuring. I would definitely recommend them!”

“Our pup loves Jasmine! She has house sat for us twice now and she has been just wonderful 😊 I appreciate the photos she sends and the time she spends with Elliott. She leaves the house in great shape and is an excellent communicator.”

“Carly was an incredible sitter! She communicated throughout the weekend and sent so many cute pictures of my girls! I was definitely able to have peace of mind knowing they were in such sweet and caring hands!”

About: Any and all dogs I will play with them non-stop until they are tired and take a nap. I don't care what kind of special treatment they need if that's what they need they will get it. i would one day like to have and run a dog daycare one day and this will be good practice. I may also buy them treats, i love to spoil dogs. I have had and taken care of lots of dogs for all my life. I'm saving up to get a new place so i can adopt some dogs and other animals. I'm not going to say I'm a professional but i will love your dog like its mine. Thank you for reading this and have a good rest of your day. I work from home doing editing mostly so my days and nights are flexible. I have taken care of dogs kinda all my life and cats for the last couple of years. If the pet as no special needs or requirements then it's your normal go on walks play lots of pets feeding on time making sure they drink water all. I'd definitely rather take them out have go to parks but that's not always an option. I'm going to ask what kinda things do you do with your pet that makes them happy favorite toy that kinda stuff
“Sandy watched my three large dogs for nearly two weeks while I was away, staying in my home the whole time. She kept me updated and sent photos throughout, which I really appreciated. One of my dogs, Clyde, is a Pointer who tends to shut down and refuse food when I'm gone-with Sandy he was eating well throughout. I returned home to three happy, healthy dogs and a house that was genuinely well cared for. With three big dogs, that's no small thing. Would absolutely book her again.”

“I felt super confident leaving my dog with Ava. She is such a good communicator and was very flexible with my needs for drop off and pickup. She stayed at my house and left everything very clean and tidy. Will definitely use again!”

About: Hi, I am a full time teacher on summer break. I love animals in general and I am happy to take care of your dog while you are on vacation, between my vacations. Let me know if you're interested. I have a lot of flexibility because I am currently on summer break. So, I should be able to watch your dog full time depending on my own vacations. I am mostly looking at taking care of people's dogs at their residents at this time. But I am very down to take your dog on walks or even hikes if that is something your dog would like.
“Mirle was great with my lab Gordie! I needed help last minute due to moving and she made it so easy taking amazing care of Gordie while I was gone. She kept me updated and sent photos of Gordie. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend using Mirle for your pets!”

After 2 years as a volunteer with the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society where I walked dogs, cleaned dog kennels, cleaned cat cages, participated in many community events, helped with adoptions and helped out in the office, I was awarded the 2012 Volunteer of the Year Award. Before that I worked in the medical field for 20 years. I have lots of references if needed.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wenatchee
We had an amazing experience with Will! My dog has high anxiety and needs daily medication, and he handled both with patience and care, which gave me so much peace of mind. He also kept up with her high energy by taking her on plenty of fun adventures and activities. On top of that, he did a great job looking after our chickens too. Will is reliable, attentive, and clearly great with animals—I would absolutely recommend him!

Maraya was GREAT ! Our dog loved her immediately and she is now his new best friend. We used Maraya 2 nights in row for in house sitting / dog sitting for 8 hours each night. We had complete confidence in her with our dog. Everything went smooth, according to plan and without incident. Maraya was quick to respond to communications and wonderful to work with.

Mirle was great with my lab Gordie! I needed help last minute due to moving and she made it so easy taking amazing care of Gordie while I was gone. She kept me updated and sent photos of Gordie. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend using Mirle for your pets!

Lauren is amazing with our pups. She’s so accommodating and patient with their quirky personalities. She provides great updates and lots of pictures. We feel so at ease knowing that they are well taken care of while we are out of town. We’d absolutely love to have Lauren take care of our pups in the future.

We truly appreciate that Ashley had done a meet and greet before our trip. Our dogs remembered her when she arrived on our departure day. One of our dogs is very shy, so we were delighted when Ashley arrived and she was warmly greeted by BOTH dogs. Our outgoing dog was thrilled to see Ashley again. Ashley took such good care of our dogs and us. I left lengthy notes and even texted as we headed out of town. Even though it was unspoken, Ashley clearly understood how leaving the dogs behind was a stressor. Her speedy response was kind and reassuring and made our medical journey anxiety free (at least dog anxiety free.) When we returned home, the dogs seemed relaxed. They fell back into our normal routines instantly. The house looked great.... very tidy. We fully recommend Ashley M. to house/critter sit while you are away and are eager to invite her back. We will look forward to seeing her again. Thank you Ashley, for your kindness and caring. We are grateful.

Jack and our 3 year old miniature schnauzer got along great for an extended stay. It was reassuring to receive texts and pics while we gone from home. Jack was also very courteous while staying in our home, and went above and beyond our expectations. Hopefully he will be available the next time we are needing a dog sitter!

Brooke stayed with Rosie and Tiger during a recent trip. She provided great care, spent quality time with them and cared for our home while we were away. She even took card of my vegetable starts! We are happy to recommend Brooke and will definitely have her back to stay with them again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wenatchee walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wenatchee maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wenatchee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wenatchee. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
