About: I have watched dogs and cats for the last 20+ years for family members and friends. Recently I have been watching senior doggos that require a bit more attention. Whether that be providing medicines or being patient with their routine. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and stress free as possible. My wife helps out from time to time. She will occasionally accompany me for meet and greets, but she mostly acts as a backup. We will let you know when booking if she will be helping out or not. She also has 20+ years of experience with pets. Working from home with a very flexible schedule. If your house as good wifi, I can hang around nearly all day. Can also spend nights if needed. Available most weeks, but do travel from time to time. Prefer to watch pets in their own environment to limit their stress levels. For cats, I typically will spend nearly all day with them, or at the very least, visit twice per day for a an hour or two depending on how social the cat is. The more social, the more time I will hang around and provide the cat company. If a cat is not very social or doesn't like company, I'll cover the basics of feeding, watering, changing litter, ensuring the cat is alive and well, but will provide the cat their space.

“Dana was fantastic! Reliable, friendly, professional and diligent. This was our first experience with drop-in visits for our cats. We were a little nervous as they haven't been left alone for more than a day until now. Dana was wonderful in providing updates and keeping us in the loop with how they were doing. Everything was left clean and tidy when we returned and the cats were both happy. Highly recommend Dana!”

About: I have extensive experience providing daytime care for dogs, from 8 weeks old to 18 years old, including those with special needs that make them unfit for traditional pet care services. My responsibilities include monitoring pet health and behavior to catch potential issues early, long walks/ playtime to ensure they get the stimulation they need, administering food and medication on a set schedule, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comforting environment. I implement breed- and temperament-specific measures—such as separation barriers or designated play areas—to ensure harmony among animals. I provide basic grooming services including bathing, brushing, and nail trims, and respond swiftly to emergencies with first aid and coordination with veterinary professionals when necessary. Pet care fits naturally into my routine both during the summer and while taking college classes, especially as somebody who has a dog of their own. In the summer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to caring for animals. During the school year, I structure my classes to leave room for regular pet care responsibilities, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. I'm dependable, organized, and committed to making pet care a consistent part of my daily routine year round. I’m comfortable and experienced caring for pets in clients' homes, making sure their routines are maintained in a familiar, stress-free environment. I follow all instructions closely, keep the space clean, and ensure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I treat every home with respect and every pet like family.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and love all animals! I also understand that every animal has unique needs, and I am committed to meeting them with patience and diligence. Friends and neighbors often trust me with both their homes and pets, and I take that responsibility seriously. It would be my pleasure to meet and care for your pet! :) I just graduated college and have plenty of free time before starting full-time work in October. My schedule is extremely open, and I can likely accommodate your pet’s care needs into my schedule. I treat your home and pet with the utmost care and respect. I have experience administering medications and always follow detailed instructions to ensure your pet’s safety. Whether I’m walking, visiting, or staying overnight, I aim to maintain your pet’s routine and provide dependable, compassionate care in a calm and familiar environment.

About: Hi, I'm Rachel! I grew up in Alexandria, Virginia but recently moved back after living in the UK for 5 years! While moving back, I did bring my 4 year old Basset Hound/Labrador mix - Bruce - with me! I grew up around dogs, and have never been without one. Personally, I wouldn't know a life without a dog or a cat. Life is too quiet. This is why I began to dally in pet care, because I know just how important a pet is, and they deserve company, care, love and play at all times. I currently work part-time at a small store, but am also using my free time to write my first book! I just moved back to the Alexandria area with my own dog, and love learning about new walking routes. In my home, pets are allowed on the furniture and spoiled rotten. I have a basket of toys that is always open, and have a variety of different treats or different dietary needs.

About: I have taken care of neighbors and friends’ pets (dogs and cats) since middle school. I am currently a college student missing my yellow lab at home and I would love to come over and walk, play, or whatever else you need with your pet! I truly love all animals and would love to meet yours! I am moving back to school August 15th so I cannot provide services in Alexandria after that date! I leave to go back to college mid-August but am pretty free until then for any help you need! Just let me know in advance and I would love to watch/walk your pet(s)!! I cannot bring pets home but I am more than happy to come to yours or bring your dog to the park for a long walk!

“We really enjoyed our meet and greet with Matt. He was great with both my dogs and his background and understanding of dog behavior and dog training is very reassuring with my very anxious puppers!”

This is a full-time job until listed/stated otherwise in the future. Daycare and boarding overnight are separate prices, but both are available. Your pets are constantly surrounded with attentive and loving caretakers who will be by their side all the time until falling asleep for the night. Ample amounts of space outside in the backyard for exercising and playing. Please bring anything you believe is necessary for safety and well-being, then we will accommodate to your needs. If you have any specific foods, liquids or items, please let us know.

“We have a nine year old dog with anxiety. It takes several visits so she will remember someone one and warm up to them. Zoe has been amazing. She is always on time. She is patient and gentle. She was able to build trust with our dog so that I can now leave for a long afternoon and not worry.”

George has also taken care of a few of our friends pets and haven't heard anything bad about his care. Would def recommend him for other pets.”

“Katie was a lifesaver when I needed a dog walker last month. She walked my high-energy dog Max three times a day for five days straight, no easy task, since he needs more exercise than most dogs. She also gave him his allergy meds by mouth (which he usually resists!) and fed him twice a day on schedule. Max adored her, and I came home to a happy dog. Katie is reliable, attentive, and clearly loves what she does.”

Rachel D.
“Rachel is both super trustworthy and loving with animals. She has good instincts when it comes to a pet’s needs and is super reliable both ahead of time and in a pinch!”
