About: I’ve had and loved pets my entire life! (I was convinced I was going to be a vet until I realized I would very likely sob every time a pet got sick.) From my black lab, Raven, to my cats Lily and Langston, to now, my long-haired chihuahua, Midge, animals are just a part of the day-to-day! About: Hi! I'm Ryan, a recent grad from West Potomac heading to the University of Virginia next year! I've been taking care of animals as long as I can remember, and I've had a strict schedule for my current dog (5pm feeding & 6pm walk) since we've had him (6yrs) ! I love all animals and I'm excited to take care of any animals that need it. Every day, as long as I can remember, I've had to feed and walk my dog at strict times in the afternoon as to keep a schedule for him. This makes it much less confusing and has him calm. I'll miss him at college, but I'm glad I can keep him on track while I'm here. Since I was young, my parents have always taught me to be on my best behavior in others homes. About: I owned a dog for most of my life. My dog sadly passed away after fifteen great years of happiness! I watch my friend's dogs when they go out of town because I'm usually always reliable and do most of my work inside my home. I am not lazy with taking dogs on walks and I care for pets like they are my own :) I am a stay at home mom to a 2 year old so I am always home to care for your loved one. We have a fenced backyard and lots of areas to walk. I can be flexible about what your pet needs. If you would prefer them in a crate at night I’d be happy to do that but usually I love having your pets roam around my townhouse and our fenced yard!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 7! I had a cockapoo for 13 years and now have a 5 year old mini bernedoodle. I’ve been walking dogs for neighbors and friends over the past few years. I just finished my Master’s degree in Europe, and am working a remote internship so have a very flexible schedule. I’m able to watch or walk dogs after 10 am on both weekdays and weekends. I won’t be able to have dogs or cats stay at my house due to my dog preferring her own space. I have experience with dogs up to 65lb so I feel comfortable keeping small to medium sized dogs safe. About: My partner and I both had small to large dogs in our families since we were children. For the past several years, we've dogsat all sizes and ages for our friends and clients. Having a dog ourselves, we understand the needs and mindset of a dog. We believe in daily mental and physical stimulation. This can include sniffmats, food puzzles, tug, training, chase, fetch, walks, hikes, jogs, and more. If your dog loves to play and be active, we're the sitters for you. A typical day is: early morning walk/outdoor play, breakfast, lunchtime walk/outdoor play, evening dinner, night time walk. On weekends, we may find a local hike to enjoy. We have a large, secluded, unfenced backyard that's fun for the dogs to run around or bask in the sun on a long leash or offleash if trained. Our dog sleeps in a crate and uses his crate whenever he wants some "me time." He is so friendly and great about sharing his toys, but he will steal a toy to entice play. To be respectful of our neighbors, we kindly ask for non-excessive barker guests.

About: I have cared for my pup Java at all stages of life, from his energetic puppy phase (which brought our house many gifts of dead squirrels or chickens) to his current slow moving (and less critter hunting) old age. I love walking dogs and will even take them on my runs if they’re the active type. Whatever type of activity that suits them I can do - from backyard playtime to a run through a park! I am a student off for the summer with no other job… I have endless free time and definitely need something to keep me busy!! I will care for your pet the way that you as the owner prefer. While my dog can go off-leash in grassy areas I understand that not all are the same and will follow the instructions you give! I do not have a fenced in yard but can take your pup to a nearby dog park if they’re off-leash time is what they like!

About: Hi, I'm Rachel! I grew up in Alexandria, Virginia but recently moved back after living in the UK for 5 years! While moving back, I did bring my 4 year old Basset Hound/Labrador mix - Bruce - with me! I grew up around dogs, and have never been without one. Personally, I wouldn't know a life without a dog or a cat. Life is too quiet. This is why I began to dally in pet care, because I know just how important a pet is, and they deserve company, care, love and play at all times. I currently work part-time at a small store, but am also using my free time to write my first book! About: I have taken care of cats and dogs all ages from kittens/puppies to senior. I have experience with bunny/rabbit care as well. I am very detail oriented with my notes and make myself available whenever I can. I always make sure all pets are fed, given clean water, clean litter or walked (dogs) and have some play or interaction time. I also have experience giving medicine. My favorite part is being able to give love and attention to animals because I know being away from their owners can be stressful. I am patient and understanding of all situations. I am currently working remote so I am home majority of the time which makes my schedule pretty flexible. I normally only go into office twice a month. I make sure to greet the pet with love. I then will make sure their food and water is replenished. I will make sure cats get playtime and take dogs on a walk or let them run around outside in a fenced backyard. I will then make sure if they need any extra care including medication or other routines instructed by the owner. I will can stay for longer to make sure that the pet is happy before I leave.
