“Celina was excellent! There was a miscommunication on my part, but Celina handled it with so much understanding and she did a wonderful job with our very hyper Aussie. She sent us photos and updates at every check-in. I would highly recommend her for drop in visits.”

“Nancy was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs. She was very prompt and efficient with communication. Dogs seemed immediately comfortable with her and she clearly has lots of experience. We look forward to using her again and would highly recommend.”

“My three kitties were well taken care of. Luna, my moo cat, loves her. Jean-Luc welcomes her and loves his treats. My third kitty hides regardless of who visits but Alex always gets a picture of her.”

“Our cats love when Joanne comes over. She does a great job in feeding and cleaning up their chaotic litter habits. I also really enjoy the pictures and recap she sends of the visit.”

About: I have 7 pets and I love each of them so dearly and I would love to spread my love to your animal! It’s incredibly important to me that your pet feels safe and loved. Typically, my pet care usually takes place in the afternoons or evening. However, I always like to keep a flexible schedule so I can make it work for your furry friend! I ensure that all pets have used the bathroom, ate an appropriate amount of food and have plenty of comfortable sleeping areas while also keeping away dangerous foods or objects.
“Highly recommend! Rebecca was fantastic with Zoey. She took the time to send me a quick photo or two, gave her plenty of attention, and followed all our instructions perfectly. Zoey was happy and relaxed when we got back and we could tell she had a great time! We felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands!”

“Noah was always on time and took great care of our Rottweiler for drop in visits twice a day while we were gone. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for someone reliable and good with big dogs too. :) thanks Noah!”

“Jaida was exceptional. She is warm and professional. She took care of my cat Louie the way I wanted, and she took some super incredible pictures of Louie too!! I will definitely reach out to her again!”

“Nila was great. Took care of the dogs and gave them extra love and attention. My dogs will miss her care and miss her. She was also great at communication and helping change a little when my plane got delayed.”

“Laura is the best! I had to go away for work two weeks after relocating to VA and one week after moving into an apartment; not only did I not have enough time to adjust, my kitties did not either. Leaving them home was difficult enough because they are certified therapy animals and I have severe anxiety, the thought of leaving them with someone I did not know was worse. They had already endured the relocation, staying in the hotel and then moving into the apartment where I had barely begun to unpack. Laura came for the "meet and greet" and all fell into place. My kitties loved her instantly and I was immediately at ease. Laura sent updates and pictures every visit. When I arrived home, my kitties were calm, everything pertaining to kitty care was immaculate. I will not hesitate to call on Laura again.”

“I feel lucky to have found Courtney to care for my boring calico with a cattitude. Sorry Courtney! This was my first time using Rover but was happy about Courtney’s professionalism and updates on my cat while I was in Thailand for 3 weeks. Loved seeing the photos despite limited scenery due to her favorite spot. I hope to have her watch my cat again in the future if need be! Highly recommend her services.”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waterford. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
