About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

About: What sets me apart is the level of love, patience, and personalized care I give every pet. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so they feel comfortable and safe while you’re away. I’m experienced with puppies who need consistency, potty breaks, playtime, and basic routine reinforcement, as well as senior pets who may need a gentler pace, extra patience, medication support, or additional comfort. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents always know their furry family members are happy and well cared for. I’m able to help out on Monday-Friday or Saturdays and Sundays. Let me know what fits your needs and I will be more then happy to accommodate! I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Especially in their own home. I do not accept boarding as my currently home is renting.

About: I have experience caring for all age ranges of cats and dogs. I have 3 years of animal welfare experience previously working in a shelter and i have always naturally been a huge animals lover. I have the ability to read animals body language really well. I connect quickly with every animal I meet! I have experience with different kinds of energy levels as well. If your dog needs a hike and does well in the car; I’m your gal!!, If they just need cuddles while we binge a tv show I can do that too! I have experience with bunnies, chickens and birds too!! I have a 3 year old dog named Ace who came to me as a puppy. I raised him and have trained him to be off leash, sit, stay, paw, and heel. I walk my dog every chance I get while working on any minor behavioral or fear based problems to insure my baby can live a full healthy happy life.

About: I've been a pet caretaker since I was 12. Dogs quickly connect with me for play, walking and companionship- just like you were there too. I have a very flexible schedule with my JMU classes this semester so I have lots of available time to spend with your fur baby. I am currently home for summer! I am very comfortable using any style leash for walking and using crates. My time with your fur baby will focus on play, fun and comfort

About: I have worked with several different breeds, and personalities of dogs. I also have experience with older dogs and being sensitive to their needs as they age. Providing a calm and reasurring presence to my canine friends, whether they are excited to see me or feeling a little stressed with their owner gone. I try to give my animal companions the best quality of life possible for them. I really love what I do. I currently work part time so I am able to give lots of time spending with furry friends. Animal care has become part of my daily routine and I couldn't imagine life with out it. In others homes I keep the enviorment low key and peaceful so as not disrupt them. I try to keep them on a regular schedule so they know what to expect and can relax a bit more.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and have been dog-sitting since I was 12! My favorite part is taking dogs on multiple walks a day, it is such a strong point of connection and exercise for them! I’m currently working part-time while in graduate school, so my schedule is very flexible! I am off work during the summer, so more availability ! I make sure that I am gentle and warm when first meeting pets, to build the rapport! I also ensure to implement how the owners take care of their pet, so it feels familiar!

About: I grow up in a farm and that gave me large experience taking care of all kind of animals, I have had different kind of dogs breed as owner and care giver. Right now I have a 2 acres property where the dogs can run and play all day long. Im at home full time so I can take care of your dogs necessities. I'm patient, I like to play with them, and I like to treat them as my own dog. I consider dogs, cats or any other animal, not only as pets, they are part of our families and deserve care, love and respect. I can provide comfort, exercises, play time, rest time and bath if necessary. I also accept puppies or seniors. I can take care of your furry babies as long as you need it.

About: I am an animal lover, from cats and dogs, to rabbits and gerbils! I have two dogs of my own who I love to look after and spend time with. I am a responsible, caring, and considerate person who will always prioritize your comfort and convenience- and your pet’s comfort! I am a rising 3rd year college student at the University of Virginia. I have flexibility this summer, as I am taking a summer course and doing research. I am respectful of your spaces if I were to dog sit, but live in an apartment so can not offer pet boarding long-term.

About: Friendly sitter with experience with senior pups, cats and chickens. I currently have two wonderful dogs and a handful of chickens. One of our dogs is what we believe is a Foxhound and the other is a Shepherd mix. Both are rescues so we are not sure. I also have experience with cats, parrots (green crowned conure) and various farm animals. Update: I no longer work from home. I am now in Richmond M-F, 8-5. I am happy to stop by during my lunch break to check on your babies in the city. Any other surrounding areas would have to be weekends and not during work hours. Apologies for any inconvenience! I am happy to stop by your home and care for your pets. One of my pups is reactive and we do not want to make her (or your baby) uncomfortable by bringing other pets into our space.

About: I am a dog groomer of 4 years wanting to build towards starting my own business, I'm hoping rover will help me build clientele and the money I need to start! I love dogs of all breeds! I'm a pca and work 9-5 Monday through Friday every week so im available after 5 on the weekdays and available on the week ends I have a crate, a run outside, and an invisible fence on my property but the dogs mostly are found on the couch. I don't usually have clients' dogs at my house but that may vary on the dog.

About: I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs. I personally care for a GSD and a Heeler mix, and am comfortable with rambunctious and large dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. I have lots of flexibility to meet the needs of your pets. I generally do not go out of town during major holidays. I have lived on estates as a property manager, and ran my own home repair business for several years. I’m good at handling emergencies, and enjoy fixing things when I have the opportunity

I have 3 personal fur babies and I foster with Save Rocky The Great Dane Rescue. I am currently working part time time so I have time in my schedule to devote to your fur kids. I have a doggie door for the emergency potties and I enjoy training so that can be part of the routine. I have a fenced in yard and I am able to provide mental enrichment as well as physical walks/Sniffari adventures and I have personal pups to keeps your busy! I have the ability to crate and even do drop bys at your house if needed.

About: I will walk, bathe, and feed your precious loves. I will make sure your babies are loved and cared for. If you don’t like something for your animals, I won’t do it. Willing to negotiate if you have multiple dogs , or cats if you have cats. I will make sure your lovely animals are happy and well taken care of while under my supervision and care. I don’t allow animals on my bed but they are allowed on my futon, if you may have special ways of taking care of them I will make sure they are taken care of the way you want them to be! About: I've loved and taken care of dogs since I was a child. I offer lots of time with your dog, to ensure he doesn’t miss you too much while you are away. My neighbor had 10 dogs,and I ended up taking care of them daily, taking them for walks, playing with them, training them, and of course snuggling on the couch.I've had experience with small dogs such as Jack Russells to big dogs such as German Shepherds. Most dogs tend to love me, as I give into their puppy eye look when they want me to throw the ball one more time or get an extra treat. I will do my best by keeping your dog safe by keeping he/she on a leash whenever we are out and about and keeping doors shut from escape artists. I also have experience with cats, birds,fish, and farm animals. I grew up with horses, goats, cows, chickens, etc. Feel free to ask any questions! I will answer as soon as I can!
