“I am overwhelmed with joy at how AMAZING Nadia was with watching my baby boy. Truly, she went above and beyond in a way I’m not accustomed to. My husband and I have only left Zuko with trusted family and friends, especially after having a bad experience leaving him at a kennel when no one we knew were available. Understandably, we were a little nervous leaving him for the first time since with a stranger. From the start, Nadia was incredibly responsive, having responded to my request immediately. Her initial detailed questions showed she takes this very seriously and I had a good feeling so we booked. Upon drop-off, Nadia was unbelievably thorough, asking more questions and making sure we covered everything, while also informing me of the type of care she planned to provide, such as supplementing Zuko’s diet with healthy human food, and taking him out into the woods as long as I was comfortable with it. She and her husband were so warm, welcoming, and sweet, greeting our pup as if they already knew him, and while our pup is normally very timid around new people, he seemed really comfortable in both their presence. My husband and I drove away feeling at ease that Zuko was in safe, capable hands. Throughout her time with him, Nadia frequently sent adorably written updates with pictures, and she gave him plenty of exercise, stimulation, and lots of spoils with great food. We were able to relax on our vacation and not worry, as Nadia gave our boy the most amazing love and care that a pet parent can only dream of from their sitter. It was clear Zuko enjoyed his time as he seemed to have already made himself at home and looked so happy being at the retreat upon pick-up. I cannot recommend Nadia more highly!!! She is the absolute best, and if we were local, I know without a doubt that we’d be regulars.”

“Beau was really part of their family for the week and had a wonderful time! So well cared for. We also got regular updates and pictures from Hillary. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you Robin for taking such good care of our pups! All the pictures you sent we could see the dogs smiling, playing, and that they were well taken care of. We appreciate your kindness and admire your love for dogs :)”

“Casey and her family took exceptional care of my fur baby Scottie. She sent pictures and updates through out his stay. Scottie was in amazing hands and his routines were kept up with (much needed for his age). They even made the sweetest note cards for me at pick up. Drop off and pick up was great. Thank you Casey and family! ♥️”

“Aly was very flexible on drop off and pickup times. She sent a few photos, which was totally appropriate. Would DEFINITELY leave our dog with her again! She is now family.”

“Ellie had an awesome stay with Julie and her family! She came home happy and tired and we would definitely use Julie and her family again to watch Ellie in the future!”

“Laura kept our 9-month old, 70lb 'puppy' for a week and we had a great experience. Laura was prompt, easy to deal with and kept in regular touch with us while we were away. Our dog had a learning curve to contend with - it was her first Rover experience and her first time living around other dogs. Laura handled it all without complaint . She provides lots of room to run, play and be free at her space.”

“Jasmine was awesome with my doggie babies!! My Wally was very anxious and she done very well with him! I would recommend her to anyone! She sent me updates and pics every day!!! Loved her! My babies looked happy!”

“Yana is amazing! She took such great care of my dog and sent daily pictures and updates which gave me peace of mind that he was happy and healthy while I was away. Highly recommend her!”

“Heather & Nigel are the best! When the dogs are so excited to hop out of the car, don't turn to look when we are leaving, and run off to play with their puppy friends, it brings so much reassurance that they are in the right place. I can't recommend Heather & Nigel enough!”

About: I've been taking care of animals of all kinds since I was 12! I started volunteering early with a local humane society and have been active in rescues ever since. I have also fostered dogs from two months-10 years old, including medical fosters, so I'm comfortable giving pets medicine if need be. I currently work at UVA in their communications office, where I have a lot of flexibility, especially on Thursdays and Fridays when I work remotely. I'm available most weekends and many holidays! I live in a shared house with a unfenced backyard and a couple of roommates, both of whom love dogs! There's a trail near me that I enjoy walking dogs on if they are OK with other people/dogs. Otherwise, I take dogs on walks once or twice daily.
About: I have cared for dogs for a little over six years and have a lot of experience with them. I am a dog lover and know exactly how to keep them happy and healthy while their families are away! I am currently working part-time, so I will have more than enough time to care for your home, pups, and anything else you may need! I care for pets by ensuring that they are always given food and water, going outside frequently, and having someone to play with hem and pet them.
“Lindsay gave exceptional care to Maple. She kept us updated during our time away, and Maple was so happy to stay there. Would return to Lindsay in a heartbeat.”

“Ruby was excited and enjoyed staying with Madison. She did not appear to be at all anxious when we dropped her off, or when we picked her up. Often Ruby is initially uncomfortable and worried during her first stay, but that was not the case. We will definitely schedule her stay with Madison in the future!”

98% of sitters in Warren can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
