“If I could give April more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This was our first time ever having someone we didn’t know come into our home to care for our dogs, so I was honestly pretty nervous. From the moment we met April at our meet and greet, every bit of that anxiety disappeared. She immediately made us feel comfortable, and it was clear how much she genuinely cares about animals. While we were away, April went above and beyond in every possible way. She cared for our three very different pups, from our wild, energetic puppy to our sweet 16-year-old senior, each with their own unique needs. She provided incredible communication throughout the entire weekend with thoughtful updates, detailed visit summaries, and lots of photos that gave us complete peace of mind. What truly impressed us was everything she did that we never even asked for. Despite the rainy weather, she brought her own towels to dry our dogs off after taking them outside. She also stayed longer than scheduled to take each of our dogs on individual walks, simply because she wanted to make sure they got the attention and exercise they deserved. In just a few days, April went from being someone we had just met to someone who felt like a trusted friend. Knowing our dogs were loved and cared for as if they were her own made it possible for us to truly relax and enjoy our time away. And as if all of that wasn’t enough, we came home to the sweetest surprise: a beautiful hand-picked bouquet of flowers and fresh cucumbers from her garden. It was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that perfectly reflects the kind of person she is. We are beyond grateful to have found April. She exceeded every expectation we had, and we won’t hesitate to book with her again and again. About: I have had pets and been an avid animal lover my whole life! I have experience with taking care of dogs of all ages. I have 3 dogs of my own, 2 younger and 1 senior. So I understand the needs of dogs of all ages. I also have experience with potty training puppies and understand the consistency and patience it takes. Medications are no issue either! I just graduated college and I am taking a moment to let my mind rest this summer, so I have plenty of time to tend to any pet needs asked of me. I have 3 dogs that are very friendly, so they would be able to keep your fur baby entertained. I walk my dogs frequently and allow them to stretch their legs and get some exercise, so I can do the same for your pet. My dogs are crate trained, so if your pet requires to be crated, it’s no issue!

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of attention and exercise. I make sure they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I also pay close attention to behavior changes and overall wellness since I have experience working as a veterinary assistant. I’m comfortable administering oral medications if needed and caring for pets with different energy levels and personalities. I also make sure to keep the home clean, secure, and respected while providing updates and photos for peace of mind.

About: I used to work at daycare with all kinds of dogs and cats including seniors. I have a big passion for animals and know how to administer medication if needed. I’ve helped out family and friends with their pets including feeding, potty breaks, playing outside with them, etc. I used to work part-time at doggy daycare but now at Food Lion, so I can spend time with your furbabies. I’m also in school for vet tech but I make time for the babies always! For clients, I usually stick to schedule with their feeding, potty breaks, etc. I like to keep their food and water bowls clean every time to prevent them from being sick. I take them outside for potty breaks and play with for about 30-40 minutes unless it’s too hot or cold. I also like to keep the owner updated on how their pets are doing and send pictures.
