About: I’ve grown up with pets and I love them so much. I truly believe each one is born a sweetheart, and each of them deserve the happiest life we can give them! Currently unemployed, so I am very flexible with my availability! I would be happy to come watch your pets for a couple hours/days, take them for walks, or just play and get their all of their energy out! Each pet has their unique personalities and needs and learning these are important when taking care of any animal! If your pet is a more independent soul, like my oldest cat, then it is good for me to know, so I don't upset them by getting in their personal space! Or if your pet has specific health issues and medicines, like my dog did, then I want to make sure I'm aware of it and can get them the help they need!

About: I grew up in a home full of pets, so caring for dogs has always been a part of my daily life. I have years of hands-on experience walking dogs, providing playtime and companionship, and making sure they feel safe and loved. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve also dog-sat for friends and family, giving me experience with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always focus on making their time with me fun, comfortable, and stress-free. I am currently interning part-time in Manteo, so I am available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, and my schedule is open during all other days of the week. I care for pets by following their usual routines as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. For walks and drop-in visits, I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention while always prioritizing their safety. I’m careful with leashes, aware of their surroundings, and attentive to each dog’s energy level and needs. In a client’s home, I treat both the pets and the space with respect—keeping areas clean, refreshing food and water, and making sure pets are happy and relaxed before I leave. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel confident their pets are well cared for. Above all, I focus on patience, kindness, and treating every pet as if they were my own.

About: I take care of dogs, cats, and chickens at home and frequently dog sit for neighbors and friends. I am open to taking care of any breed and age cat or dog, and other species as well! I work part time, so I have lots of availability. I do not have a set schedule so I am very flexible with days and times. About: From middle to high school I assisted my neighbor with her animal shelter where she housed dogs, birds, cats, and horses. Working there and working on the family farm has given me lots of experiencing with bathing and giving oral prescriptions to pets. I’ve always grown up with pets and am a very reliable person. I am very good at following instructions and believe communication is important. I’m currently searching for employment so my schedule is completely open as of this moment. I will adjust when needed. I can provide visits currently whenever works best for you and your fur babies. I currently have 2 cats who have very different energy levels, therefore I have experience with both. I am very energetic so I would love to play with your younger pets, but can also provide lots of loving to your senior pets as well!

“I did not want to leave my soul puppy in the care of anyone, but I needed to attend my daughter's wedding and was too far away for personal check-ins throughout the evening. My baby girl was diagnosed with bone cancer 6 months ago and given 3 - 6 months to live, so basically, I never want to leave her except for absolute necessities. This was one of those times. Hannah answered my request for two 60-min drop in visits. But before the day of visits, she took the time to stop by to meet Oakley and to understand her needs. Hannah was caring, attentive, patient, friendly, and updated me during her visits with Oakley with reports and pics. Hannah was the next best thing to having Oakley attend the wedding & reception with me.”

About: I grew up on a farm where I cared for upwards of 20+ family dogs (of all ages, sizes, and demeanors), many cats, horses, miniature ponies, chickens, and more. If it has four legs, chances are I have probably cared for one at least once in my lifetime. Our house always had at least three or four dogs at a time, so I am well versed in the art of managing multiple strong personalities at once. My first dog I adopted myself was special needs beagle, and I am very comfortable with assisting with dogs who have higher needs. That beagle lived a long happy life before he crossed that rainbow bridge, and I've just welcomed in a bloodhound puppy about a year ago named Gus. He is a wonderful testament to the hard work my partner and I have dedicated to turning him into a good dog, and he plays well with any dog he meets, no matter if they play rough or gentle, or if they're timid or chaotic. I am also a registered nurse and I am a quick study to any health needs your pet may have. I am local to the OBX and have many different options up my sleeve when it comes to keeping your pup entertained and active during our time together, as well as knowledge of where to avoid so that your pup doesn't end up with any sand spurs. I've handled dogs all my life, and have yet to meet a dog who challenged me (even aggressive ones who had run off previous sitters). I look forward to hearing about you and your pups needs and providing attention to detail and rounded care to your dog as if they were my own. I work as a middle school nurse from the second week in August to the first week in June. My summers allow me to have open availability to serve the pet owner community. If you have pet care needs during the school year, I do have availability on weekends, or after 4pm on week days. I intend to treat the dogs I care for as my own, so the structure I follow mirrors how I work with my own dog. Dogs get potty breaks and brief walks at minimum every three hours, more often if the weather is good. Once or twice a day (weather permitting) I go for what I call "a big romp" -- this can be running and playing fetch on a small private soundside beach within my neighborhood, a walk on the big beach, a visit to the dog park (which would only happen if owner and I have discussed this), a stroll through Nags Head Woods or around the Wright Brother's monument. As we move into summer, these activities will be limited by the heat so I tend to do these early in the day or at sunset/dusk to avoid dogs overheating. I always carry with me some treats and a bottle of water for the doggo. If the weather is poor or it's just too hot for larger scale activities, I like to invoke puzzle toys, treats wrapped up in towels, or burying treats and toys in the dig pit I've built in my back yard.

“We are so grateful to have found Nichole. Our two Cairn Terrier brothers like being home and we prefer having them there, especially compared to the stress and expense of taking them to a kennel. We had a great meet & greet with Nichole and our pups took to her immediately. This was a difficult trip for us (mom’s funeral), and getting updates and photos from Nichole has been very comforting. Her enthusiasm and professionalism have helped make this trip so much better and opened the door for future travels knowing our dogs are very well cared for. About: I grew up taking care of cats and dogs. I was also a ranch hand in Colorado which taught me extensive knowledge of taking care of outdoor animals. I'm very comfortable giving medications! I'm currently working full time at a property management company and they are flexible with any of my scheduling needs. I'm available to ahere to strict schedules. I will not be available to house your pet in my home, my cat is not friendly with other animals. I can make as many visits or stay at your home as needed.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was eight years old. Including puppies and rescuing senior dogs. Some of the senior dogs were at the end of their life so I understand the need for compassion and care. I currently have a two year old puppy which I have trained since she was five months old. So I am very versed in the need for daily exercise, consistent training, and daily enrichment. I’ve been dog sitting for at least ten years. Including extended stays at my residence. I’m currently a part time worker, looking for something to fill my extra time. So I have a very flexible schedule and I’m always ready for some extra dog time. My goal is to always put your pets need first. Including any care they need. Including cleaning up after them and any extra medications they may need. Also adding comfort and safety in stressful situations.
