Ashley and her family are the best doggie caretakers! Our dog gets plenty of exercise in a large fenced in area and gets hugs and cuddles when she comes inside. They are such a loving family and I highly recommend them!

Cara was an excellent dogsitter. She communicated well, sent great photos, and made sure my older dog Cosmo was comfortable. He loved being able to sit on the couch and the bed :) We would definitely have Cosmo return to Cara's again in the future.

About: I have had dogs my whole life and am happy to care for your doggo. I currently have a 1 year old Golden Retriever and am well versed in both puppy and senior care. I am a full time teacher on summer break, so have availability to fit your needs over the summer. I’m a full time teacher on summer break, so have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they deserve! I am home most of the day with occasional trips to the gym/store. I have a fenced yard and available sidewalks/trails for walks. I do have a 1 year old energetic Golden Retriever who is very friendly (maybe too friendly for some dogs) and a 2 year old Persian kitty who is skeptical of new animals

Hannah saved my wedding day!! Our scheduled dog sitter (not from Rover) cancelled on us two days before our out-of-state wedding, and Hannah not only filled in last minute, she might be our pups favorite person💖 She is incredibly warm, they took to her immediately, and we were so grateful 🙏 Got lots of photos of them just relaxing around her and were able to enjoy our wedding day stress free. Thanks so much, Hannah!!

Hope is excellent and our first experience on Rover, she exceeded our expectations and gave our dog a loving and caring experience. Our dog stayed with her overnight the week after Christmas. She was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I made a last minute request for care and Hope made the entire process simple. We were from out of town skiing at a nearby resort. Hope was generous with her time and care for our treasured Potato. We will use Hope again when we return for another ski week. I was very happy with our experience and our dog Potato had a great time playing at Hope’s house. We were lucky to find her!

Alicia and her sweet family welcomed Ollie into their home for a 10 day stay. This was Ollie's first stay away from home and Alicia did her best to make him feel safe and comfortable during his stay. Upon pickup he was healthy and happy - would not hesitate to book again!

It appeared that Darley loved her stay with Christine. Christine sent us pictures and commentary every day while we were away. We really appreciated that. We were a little concerned that Darley and Christine's cat, Gonzo would not get along but I think all went very well. The yard around the house was good for letting Darley out and Christine took Darley to places where she could really get some exercise. We will want to return to Christine's in the future and definitely recommend her.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and currently have three of my own, so caring for them comes naturally to me. As a stay-at-home mom to four kids, I’m home and available throughout the day—meaning your pup will always have company, love, and attention. Caring for pets is second nature in my home. Between my three dogs and four kids, there’s always love, play, and activity to go around. Whether it’s morning walks, midday playtime, or cozy evening cuddles, pets easily become part of our family rhythm and daily routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine closely to keep things comfortable and familiar. I make sure they’re well-fed, walked, and given plenty of love and attention—just as if they were my own. I also keep homes tidy and respect any specific instructions, so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I have owned dogs my whole life and am a PhD student looking to use my exercise/break time taking care of your dog! Mondays to Wednesday I have open availability and Thursday to Sundays I am open from about 10AM to 2PM. I am super flexible and happy to follow your doggie rules. I have done formal training for rescue pups and understand dog behaviour/warning signs/signs of stress etc as well as any human can. I like to take my own dog with me most places, hiking, camping, you name it. I have owned dogs from 30lb to 90lb and ones who are super loving and those who are more shy. I am used to dealing with a more shy dog on a regular basis. Hope to hear from you!

Once again, Lou was in the very best hands with Danielle. Her care is truly a gift! I’m also reasonably convinced that Lou would really prefer regular sleep overs :) Much gratitude for an excellent experience all the way around.

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Walpole home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Walpole.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Walpole sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
