“Amazing with our fur babies. Kept updates constantly. Followed our directions for our elderly dog with no issues. Any issues or concerns, she contacted us immediately. She really has a way with animals and great personality. Very easy to communicate and talk to. Highly recommend. We came home to stress free fur babies. Thank you.”

“Allie is great! She looked after our cat for a long holiday weekend and when we came back he was very happy and super cared for. She followed all of our instructions to a tee and was always prompt. Would definitely book her again and recommend her ten-fold!”

“We have utilized Tanya’s services with Rose in the past and once again she was amazing with her. Great communication. Even administered medications for her. Thank you for caring for Rose.”

About: When I take care of an animal, I don't just treat them like a pet. I treat them like the best friend they are. Instead of going the extra mile, I walk the extra mile to make sure all the animals I have worked with are taken care of physically and emotionally. I'm also just a college student trying to make a little bit of money on the side to help pay off my debt. Apart from taking care of my own cats in the morning and evening, my schedule is very free and very open to anything that pops up. I do live out pretty far from most towns, but I am willing to drive the distance no matter how far to provide the best quality service possible. I pride myself in being able to read animals pretty well. I am able to adapt to their personal needs and accommodate them however necessary. My 2 cats could not be any different from each other personality-wise, and I don't mind dealing with a hyper-active pet, and chill and relaxed pet, or anything in between. I'm an animal lover at heart, and will do anything to make sure all pets are well taken care of.
About: I’ve helped take care of dogs before, both my own and family friends who needed an extra paw! I have watched over dogs of different sizes from a little shitzu to a Siberian Husky. I also helped with taking care of senior dogs, including ones which require special dietary supplements and attention! I adore walking dogs, giving them attention and love, as well as taking care of young dogs. I’m currently available for weekdays in the evening after 4:00 pm as I do work part-time, but I have open availability on weekends. I’m hoping for something to earn a little extra income and to gain some experience in training dogs if possible, but I can do longer if needed! I can also handle dog walking! I currently don’t offer boarding or crating services in my own home. I can stay at a client’s home for extended periods of time with the exception of Mondays! My own home is fenced-in, but I can still offer dog walking services for clients!

“Aaliyah is super! She is great with the dogs. She is exceptionally reliable and a fantastic communicator. She has provided daily drop in visits since January and I highly recommend her.”
About: My name is Haley, I’m 30, living in Boerne. I will do dog walks, feeding, and playing. I will also do grooming and training for an additional fee. I will love your pet like I love my pups. I have had dogs and cats in my life since I was 3. I have had 6 dogs and 3 cats total. I’m currently raising my 5th puppy, Toulouse. He will be the fourth dog I’ve trained. I work from home so I have lots of free time and I’m eager to start this new endeavor. Please feel free to message me with any questions you have. I look forward to meeting you and your sweetheart. I am self employed and spend a lot of time if not all my time at home. I would have lots of free time to tend to all your pets needs. I have three dogs of my own to keep your pup happy while visiting. I can crate if needed and long walks are provided when it’s cool. If in your home I would maintain their routine to the best of my ability.
About: Hi! My name is Kelley, and I’ve been caring for animals since I was 11 years old. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and even horses, and spending time with animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or more shy and reserved, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m dependable, communicative, and respectful of both your pets and your home. I know how important routines can be for animals, so I’m happy to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, crating, bedtime routines, or anything else that helps your pet feel at ease. I also spent time working at a veterinary office, which gave me additional experience and knowledge in animal care and behavior. While I’m not a vet tech, that experience helped me become more attentive to pets’ needs and more comfortable handling a variety of situations. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I’ll always treat them with patience, kindness, and love as if they were my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! I currently work part-time while earning hours toward my therapy license, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be attentive to your pets’ needs throughout the day. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to check in consistently, maintain your pet’s normal routines, and provide dependable care whether that includes walks, feedings, playtime, medications, or simply keeping them company. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I do my best to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and respect for the routines they’re already familiar with. In a client’s home, I do my best to maintain your pet’s normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, medications, crating routines, and any other specific care instructions. I know being away from their owners can be stressful for some pets, so I strive to create a calm, comforting environment and give them plenty of attention and affection. I’m also very respectful of clients’ homes and always aim to leave things clean, organized, and exactly as I found them. Communication is important to me, so I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away.
“Samantha, thank you so much for taking excellent care of our kitties and bunny! When we got back, it was clear that everyone had been in the very best hands. :) Everyone else, if you are reading this, you just found the right human for your nonhumans.”

“Taylor was great with Sully. I booked with her very last minute. She came over on a Monday to meet Sully and Tuesday she walked him 3 times while I was away all day. She kept me updated and I came home to a very happy dog.”

I’m a full time stay at home mom. So I have all of the free time needed to care for your animal and their needs. And I have all the resources necessary to make them feel right at home. Whatever needs your pet has I can provide! I have extra supplies and fun activities I can offer to help keep your pet happy and loved. With experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, and even exotic pets, I provide calm, reliable care you can truly trust. Your pet will always feel safe, loved, and comfortable with me. Hi! I’m currently a student at UTSA and also in a sorority! Here’s what my typical week looks like: • Mondays: I have sorority chapter meetings at 7:00 PM. I’m available earlier in the day and after my meeting if needed. • Tuesdays & Thursdays: I have class from 10:00 AM – 12:45 PM. I’m available before class, in the afternoon, and in the evening. • Wednesdays: I babysit from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, but I’m available in the morning before 11:00 and after 4:00 PM. I’m flexible outside of these times and happy to discuss specific scheduling needs. I always aim to be dependable, and communicative. When caring for pets in your home, I keep their routine consistent and stress free. I carefully follow feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions including medication. I make sure their space stays clean, familiar, and comfortable so they feel safe and well cared for while you’re away.
About: Very dog friendly house hold, I have 2 of my own. I like going to different parks/trails, dog parks, and especially places with water. I have senior care experience as well (one of mine is 12) so I understand that some days can be easier than others. I also always have a little snack on me! I am all about my pets. We go on long walks, parks, dog parks, and love the beach! I always have time for them and will take them with me even to run a quick errand. Whether I'm in my own home or someone else's, I try to make the pet feel as comfortable as possible. I let them come to me and do things at their pace.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Walnut Grove. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
