“Lisa was fantastic! She was very easy-going and took my puppy’s “puppiness” in stride. He seemed very at ease with her and her family and was well cared for. It was really great to have him boarded in a home rather than stuck in a cage or cubicle at a large facility. I will definitely use her again next time I need to board him.”

“Odette took wonderful care of my Frenchie. Her communication was great, she kept me updated me multiple times throughout the day with pictures and took care of my dog like her own. Thank you, Odette!”

“Esther is the only one I trust to watch our sweet girl. She always sends daily updates and pictures which is nice to see while we’re away. Savannah is always excited to see her when I drop her off which is further proof she’s getting excellent care.”

“Niyired is amazing! Jack was calm and relaxed when I picked him up after 3 days. I took him back to her today and he walked right in the door and went downstairs... didn't even say good-bye. 🤣 10/10. Very glad we found her!”

“Lauren went above and beyond taking care of Cece! From the moment we left, I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such great hands. Lauren sent so many photos and updates of Cece clearly having the best time while on walks, hanging out, and enjoying lots of cuddles. It honestly felt like Cece was living her best life while we were gone. If I could rate Lauren 10 out of 10, I absolutely would. I can’t recommend her highly enough! Thank you, Lauren, for taking such great care of Cece!”

“She did a great job with our Pit Bull/Husky mix Skye! Skye is only 3 months old and is a very curious, active puppy who gets into everything. 😂 I was nervous about leaving her but I really appreciated Whitney for being willing to keep Skye in her home and take on all that puppy energy. Skye was well taken care of, and I would definitely use her again! ❤️🐾”

“Cyndie was great! Her home is super accommodating and setup perfectly for sitting. Our pup couldn’t have had a better experience. If Cyndie will have him, he will be back!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was very nervous, my girl is my whole world. Brynn was just absolutely amazing! We did a meet and greet first which was great, and then Kimura really had the best time during her stay! I can’t say enough good things. I got regular updates, and I truly felt my girl was being really cared for. I’m so grateful she had such a smooth and great time. :) definitely recommend!!”

About: As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and small pets, and I'm comfortable with both large and small breeds. My own senior dog receives daily oral medication, so I'm confident administering oral medications when needed. I treat every pet like they're part of my family and focus on providing a safe, loving, and stress-free environment with plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and cuddles. While I have not had experience on a formal app like this, I have been caring for family/ friends pets for years. Pet care is already a part of our everyday routine. I work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and my job is only five minutes from home, so I’m able to come home during my lunch break for potty breaks, walks, feeding, and quality time. My husband also helps care for the pets from time to time, giving them additional care throughout the day. Before and after work, we make sure pets get plenty of exercise, playtime, and love. Our evenings and weekends are much more flexible, allowing us to spend even more time caring for your pet. We understand how important routines are, and we’ll do our best to keep your pet’s schedule as close to normal as possible while you’re away. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I share my home with my friendly senior dog, Major. He is well-socialized, gentle, and have done well with other animals I've cared for in the past. My husband also helps care for pets from time to time, so your pet will have another trusted, caring person around to give them attention and companionship. I live in an apartment with plenty of walking areas nearby, including dog parks where I regularly take my own dog. My home has hard flooring, so accidents are easy to clean up, and I have plenty of toys to keep pets entertained. I also have a home camera so I can monitor pets whenever I'm away. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, kittens, senior pets, and administering oral medications. If needed, I'm also able to transport pets safely to appointments or in case of an emergency. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or yours, my husband and I will follow your instructions closely and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and right at home.
“It was our first time leaving our dog Truffle with Scott. Scott and his son took very good care of Truffle. He was very responsive and sent us pictures regularly. We could see Truffle being very comfortable in his home.”

“Kelly did amazing. Our pup is super shy and is terrified of strangers, but he warmed up to her and her children better than anyone else he has stayed with. Kelly asked plenty of questions to make sure she understood his needs ahead of time and sent me updates and photos regularly. We will be booking with her again in the future!”

“Brandon is very friendly! He and his wife take the time to pay attention to the dogs. I received multiple pictures during my stay to let me see how Louie was doing. Thanks so much!”

“Ms Sandy was so great with our senior dog, Vixen! I never worried about her and Sandy sent several pictures of her happy! Ms Sandy also was great with some of the senior dog issues Vixen sometimes has. Overall I felt extremely at ease with Vixen staying there and would definitely have her watch our dog again!”

“Jessica was an amazing sitter! She sent lots of updates and photos and it was obvious our pup had a blast with her and her dogs. We would definitely recommend and would book her again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and using anyone outside of family or friends to watch Roscoe. I will admit that I was a little nervous. Kayahja was the best choice for me and Roscoe. She understood how I felt as a dog mom and she kept me updated with pictures and videos throughout Roscoe’s stay. She was super helpful with figuring out a convenient drop off for both of us. Her dogs are super sweet! Roscoe had the time of his life. He seemed so comfortable and at peace with her and her dogs. He’s made two new friends. I was wondering if he’d want to come home lol. If you’re looking for a caring, dedicated dog sitter that is also a dog mom, Kayahja is it! Roscoe and I will definitely use her again.”

“Sydnie and her family were the best dog sitters! Kona was well taken care of and loved hanging with them and their Golden! Sydnie sent updates (from Kona 😊) everyday to describe his day. So cute! Highly recommended!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Walnut Grove home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Walnut Grove.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Walnut Grove sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
