About: I have been an animal lover for life and a dog owner for two years. Before that I have been a dog sitter several times in the UK, where I am from. I have regularly cat-sit for a family, which included taking the little feline out on walks in her harness! I love doing training with my own dog, (who is steadily becoming more well behaved!) and would be happy to incorporate training into my visits with yours. I am a very active person and can play ball, run, and walk with dogs. I know the importance of mental stimulation. I am currently available most days, with the exception of Wednesdays. I am an artist and market vendor, and I am able to adjust my schedule much of the time to fit in with your needs. I am happy to walk dogs and do check-ins at your home. I am a careful and cautious person and will follow instructions given as closely as I can.

About: I’ve always had dogs and cats growing up. All have been taken care of from 2 months and onwards! I find joy in connecting with animals and serving them - as they have served my life in beautiful ways by just expressing their unconditional love and gratitude with their movements and actions rather than words. It is an gift to be loved by these beautiful creatures daily. I am currently working independently and using this time to create and spend time with nature’s gifts. My schedule is very flexible - and I am willing to work with you! I make sure that they are walked, legs stretched, bowels taken care of, fed, played with and loved. About: I have always loved and cared for animals since I was young. I have taken care of my own and other people's fur babies. I love when my friend's pets get excited to see me because I equally share their joy! Dogs: I have always loved dogs and had at least 1 since childhood until a few years ago sadly. The automatic baby voice comes out when I see and talk to a dog. I have found myself spending more time with the dogs than the humans at gatherings sometimes and I appreciate those moments. I love all breeds and sizes! When seeing a new dog in passing, I ask each owner if it’s okay for me to “say hi”/pet their fur baby because all are different with different personalities and life experiences. I tell my kitties often that they will have a canine sibling soon! Cats: Currently a cat mom of 2, the stars in my pictures! I was ignorant of cats until I found my own. I listened to many behavioral podcasts along with my research to understand their uniqueness, and now I deeply appreciate and understand wholeheartedly the love earned from such individual little creatures. My kitties are my shadows, I never use the restroom alone. They have taught me so much and I love the unique personality that I find in each one of them. I know how important it is to respect their space (especially if they're more standoffish) and ensure they have all their resources, especially when their humans are away! Currently working my own flexible schedule so I can make any time work that your fur baby needs. Some pets are used to early mornings and some are used to late evenings. Whatever works for yours! My kitties eat raw, so I make their food daily and give them specific supplements and treats depending on their behavior and the litterbox situation. I'm in tune with my kitty's behaviors and meows knowing what they're requesting in that moment. When caring for other people's pets, I'm mindful of where we use the bathroom (if possible) and clean up appropriately. No details are too many, I'm very supportive of specific needs and how your fur baby may be familiar with their care.

About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for animals who need a little extra patience, attention, and understanding. I have experience working with older dogs and sick animals, which has taught me how important it is to pay attention to the little things and recognize when a pet may not be feeling their best. I understand that every animal has different needs, routines, and personalities, and I’m happy to adjust my care to make them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or older and needs a slower pace, I’ll treat them with the same care and compassion I would want for my own pets. Pet care fits easily into my schedule because I currently work only about 10 hours a week, giving me plenty of flexibility to dedicate time to your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and other care needs, and I can work with your pet’s routine and schedule. Having a flexible schedule also means I can give your pets the time, attention, and companionship they deserve rather than rushing through a visit. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping them comfortable by maintaining their normal routines as much as possible. I follow their feeding, medication, walking, and care instructions closely while giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I also treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own, keeping things clean and secure. Most importantly, I communicate with owners throughout the stay and provide updates so they can feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

About: I have been taking care of other people's animals since middle school and just love getting to know your pets! Experience with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, and fish! Willing to take on pets with medical needs! I work 40 hours over 5 days days a week. I am typically away from the house from 9 am - 5 pm or 11 am - 7 pm. Depending on your location, I may be able to pop back to the house on my short lunch break. I am comfortable walking your animals on leashes, pushing them in strollers, using a treadmill, playing with them in the yard, or whatever else is your routine and preference!

About: I've had pets since I was a teenager. I currently have 2 dogs, 2 ferrets and 3 birds (2 cockatoos one quaker parrots). I've recently retired as a Project Manager from the Department of Veterans Affairs after 34 years. I just became retired and so I have plenty of time to hang out, play and entertain your pets. Almost all dogs and cats love me. As a project manager with the VA for the last 25 years I've been in a position of high public trust requiring that I have a background check every 5 years.

About: I have been pet-sitting for over 5 years now, and for over 10 different families. I have experience sitting for short and long periods of time, as well as dog walking, administering medication, and sitting for puppies. I also have experience sitting for chickens! I have taken dog harnessing classes and body language while volunteering with a local shelter, and I have studied a bit through online masterclasses on dog training. I have excellent communication skills, enjoy keeping homes tidy and clean, and am well-attuned to the needs of both the pets and the owners! My favorite part of pet sitting is cuddling and taking your dog for a walk! At the moment I am in full-time school but am available for petsitting on weekends only. I usually am working on homework and can be present with your pets most of the day on weekends. About: I believe that pets deserve an abundance of respect and understanding, as well as optimal attention and care. In general, I tend to feel more comfortable around dogs and cats than people and treat them all with dignity, respect, and love. I have had decades of experience with a variety of pets, from blind pugs to anxious mutts to timid cats and everything in between. I believe pets must be addressed on their own level and met where they are. As a middle-aged woman with many responsibilities and experiences, I am adept at managing a wide variety of pet tasks with conscientiousness and skill. You can be confident that your dogs and cats will be in safe and loving hands with me while you are away. I am a freelance writer and work only part-time from home, so I have an abundance of time to be fully in the moment with your pets and provide them quality care, supervision, and one-on-one attention. I have a wonderful husband who loves animals and 16-year old son (who also adores animals), and a 20-year-old son studying at Chapel Hill, who helps me with the dogs in my care when he is home for the summer and on breaks. Currently, I have a wonderful, small group of regular dogs who come for daycare most days of the week. I always make sure prospective dogs are a good fit with the group to ensure safety and an optimal experience for all the dogs. We love meeting new dogs and welcome having new playmates here at "Camp Dewdog." These guys have so much fun here, romp around the yard, hide in the shrubery, zoom around the porch, and go on walks in our Montford neighborhood to see the goats and chickens down the street or to the Reed's Creek Greenway, or Hummingbird Park. There's never a dull moment here, except when the pups are sacked out on our porch swing bed or lounging in the house on the sheepskin rugs. Your pets will be cared for with the same dedication and attentiveness as with my own pets. Dogs can either roam and lounge in our large Victorian home or frolic in our lush fenced yard and porch. Montford is also a lovely neighborhood to go on walks with dogs, with lots of parks nearby, resident goats and chickens down the street at our friends' house, and Reed's Creek Greenway just around the corner.

About: I have always loved and enjoyed caring for animals. My home has always had a four legged family member occupying space. From rabbits to pot belly pigs it’s such a joy to love and care for them. I’m currently a full time student that takes online classes. So my schedule is pretty free and flexible. I don’t have a traditional job so I’m home a lot. I have a front and back yard that I can walk your fur baby in. I also have 2 friendly fur babies of my own to keep them company.

About: Have had pets my entire life, bred multiple reptiles in the past, have had several dogs over the years, exotics, still have a 23 year old african grey who is my middle child who won't leave the nest, spent a decade volunteering at a no-kill shelter, multiple animal rescues, have worked in multiple veterinary offices, been vegetarian since 1997, worked as a vegan chef in several restaurants, and still love to cook for potlucks, friends and fun! I'm currently just working a few days a week in a restaurant, no other commitments. Plus it's the longest I've ever been without companion animal of my own, so I have extra time and love to give at the moment. Will follow the owners instructions to the tee, and more often than not spend additional time when possible. I'm currently without pets of my own which is rare for me, so I have an ample amount of attention and care to spare!

About: Hey all, I’m currently an animal care professional at an animal hospital handling boarding and some grooming and I’m currently in grooming school, I’m beginning to take clients of my own if interested! I’ve worked with sheltered animals, horses, livestock and strays my whole life. I’ve fully potty trained several dogs including my 8 year old abuse rescue becky, I love grooming in my free time and am training to become an apprentice groomer. Animals are my passion and I can guarantee that your furry loved one will thrive with me around. I’m currently working full time and also in grooming school. So currently I’m free on weekends and whenever my shifts change weekly. I can do overnights on weekends normally I offer lots of social engagement with pets during house visits. I spend a lot of time working with dogs to understand their behavior and what if any anxieties they might be facing so I can calm them down and engage them in stimulating activities that help them relax and sleep well, or get out extra pent up energy

About: I've grown up around big dogs my whole life and love all pets more than anything. I believe every pet should feel loved and happy with the humans they around no matter how old, or young, they may be. With a very open schedule, I am happy to commit however long or short needed for your special companion! I am looking to find many jobs throughout my last semester at UNCA.
