“Madi and Abby were amazing! Our two young cats were so comfortable around Abby and that shows how great she was with them! She followed all instructions, sent tons of pictures that made us so happy while away, and even was extremely patient and communicative during a situation where our electric front door locked wouldn’t open! Would absolutely recommend and book again! So happy we found them!”

“Tiffany did a great job taking care of our Luna while we were on vacation. She made sure Luna was fed and cleaned the litter box, but most importantly she played with our girl. We loved the pictures she sent and Luna had a play date each day while we were away. Thanks a ton!”

About: I’ve been around animals ever since I was young. Back home it was a daily occurrence to wake up early and feed all the animals. From cows to chickens and cats to dogs, I have been around all of them. I throughly enjoy being around animals and currently missing my Australian Shepard back home. I’m currently attending college right now, so I have massive blocks in my schedule and even times for overnight care. Most of my homework does not require me to be on campus so it is easy to house sit when necessary. I can even check on animals during breaks between classes. At my current house, I have a massive backyard and located within a quarter mile of Thomas Park. The backyard has lots of shade and will always have plenty of water. When my dog comes up, he loves the backyard and walking around the park.
“Laken took the absolute best care of our dogs while we were on vacation, and I truly cannot recommend her enough! Leaving your pets behind is never easy but she made the entire experience stress free. She kept us updated, sent pictures, and treated our dogs like they were her own! We came home to happy, well-loved pups and a house just as we left it. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were safe, comfortable, and cared for so attentively. If you’re looking for someone dependable and genuinely amazing with animals, Laken is your girl! We are so grateful for her and will definitely be using her again!”

“The previous sitter just canceled on us last minute and Jayden was able to come and watch our puppers on short notice. It seemed to be a blessing in disguise cause Jayden was absolutely wonderful, our dogs loved her. Super caring,10/10. We will definitely call her in the future whenever we need someone.”

“Kirsten made sure to make time to come early to meet animals and get keys before the initial visit. She made sure to send pictures daily and the cats looked comfortable when I returned home.”

Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, and I love making sure pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. I work from home, so your pets will always have plenty of attention and company throughout the day. My dog Theo is a friendly and playful pup who loves meeting new friends and will happily keep your dog entertained. We also have a fenced backyard, perfect for outdoor play and exercise! Thank you for considering me to care for your pets. I’d be happy to answer any questions and can’t wait to meet your pupper! Working from home allows me to provide flexible and attentive pet care. “Dustin has made my first time experience with Rover amazing. He made sure to keep me updated with how Bella responded to him and took pictures on their walk. He definitely treated her like his own. He made her really happy during his visits. I would definitely use him again. 10/10”

About: I've lived in a house full of dogs for years so I feel more than qualified to handle a house full of your furry friends or a house with one. I've pet sat for friends and family so I know how important it is your dogs don't feel alone. Nowadays, even with the heat I'm a big fan of taking walks with my dogs. We're both fans of the exercise and I have a small wading pool as a treat after the walk. I normally take them early in the morning or later in the evening when the sun is not at its hottest to protect their feet. I only work part time early mornings so I have a wide open afternoon schedule that is available. I'm willing to be flexible with your schedule. My normal weekly schedule has me available Mondays and Tuesdays after 1pm and Wednesday through Friday I am available after 11am. I'm all about positive reinforcement and love to play with dogs. I understand dogs can get rough and I'm not afraid of their nibbles but I do know how to distract and redirect their attention in the case of extreme rough play. I'm a big fan of treats so I do include treats during my time with dogs. As long as there is a fenced in back yard, I don't like to rely too heavily on a leash but like for the dog to feel free to roam.
About: I love to not only feed and let out your pets but also just hangout with them and keep a watchful eye just in case ;) I would love to swing by right before or after work on the weekdays! And can really commit on the weekends if you need to go out of town! I love to just come over and sit with your pet for awhile, let them get comfortable approaching me and then play with them or walk them and feed them when they’re comfortable!

“We are Blessed to have Kristy care for our 16 year old cat/fur baby, Luna. We are so happy to have her watch Luna because she’s not only a beautiful person inside & outside, but she’s loving, trustworthy & conscientious! Luna takes a day to get used to anything new. But she loves Kristy & when we arrive back home from our travels, Luna looks better than when we left! She walks around for a few days looking for something. I swear she’s wondering where her friend, Kristy is? Everything is always clean and she even came twice per day, on the last few days. She sends me the best pictures of our LuLu! I hope she will continue bless us with her loving care for our cat”

About: I've taken care of dogs (and other animals) since I was a 12, but they were mostly my own. While in my last years of college I started watching friend & family dogs as a part time gig and it has become fairly consistent ever since. I love all animals and I've had the joy to watch many different kinds over the years...even some farm animals! Some might call me nuts, but I have watched a total of 8 dogs at one time. I'm always up for a little bit of chaos when it comes to pet sitting and I really enjoy giving owners the peace of mind that their babies are in good care. I just started a hybrid job, my work schedule is very flexible. For younger dogs I'm able to be at home more should their typical schedule require it. I only offer in home pet sitting. Over the years I've learned that it works much better for the pets to be in their usual environment. I like to come into the home and adapt to their life so its as stress free as possible. By doing so this also gives me the opportunity to "house sit" and keep an eye on the place as well. If needed I will collect the mail/newspaper/packages, water the plants, assist with any maintenance appts etc. Before going to a new home, I insist on coming by for a meet and greet to meet the dog/s and get a lay of the land to make sure both parties are comfortable.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
