Although I had been happy with other cat sitters that I’ve worked with on Rover, I decided to give Karisa a chance, because she was more affordable. Boy, am I so glad that I did. Karisa bonded with our kitties, Klondike and Sprite, better than anyone I’ve ever worked with before. Sprite, in particular, is very skittish and will hide from pet sitters, but, miraculously, she was happy to let Karisa and her children hold her during visits. Klondike likewise got tons of attention and affection, as evidenced by the many photos Karisa sent. Karisa also took care of watering my many orchids while we were away. Plus, when I forgot to suspend our shipment of frozen meals from The Farmer’s Dog while we were away, Karisa was a lifesaver! Not only did she keep an eye out for the package, but when it arrived, she brought it in out of the hot sun, unpacked it, and stored everything neatly in the freezer for us. I will most definitely be booking her again in the future.”

About: At Williamson Animal Care and Control I volunteered walking dogs. I also received significant training in dog behavior and dog walking. After retiring from my career, I started my pet sitting and dog walking career. I took care of a rescued Great Pyrenees multiple times during the week and frequently overnight trips for over two years. I recently moved back to the Fort Wayne area from Franklin, TN. Three of my previous dog clients have shown interest in having me come back to stay with their dogs when they’re out of town for more than a couple days. Pet sitting and dog walking are my primary responsibilities along with taking care of my two cats. I have a very flexible and available schedule. I take pride and making sure that the client’s home is as good if not better when I entered. I will walk the dog, feed or treat, make sure the water bowl is full and also if appropriate snuggles.

About: I, Carter and my mother Mindy, have been pet owners our entire lives. We have experience with young, adult, and senior dogs. Along with experience in administering certain types of medications, and our house is blind dog friendly thanks to indoor gates and a fenced in and safe backyard. We’ve recently lost our last dog and don’t plan to get another animal companion, but we love to help people care for their furry companions temporarily as a way to give back to the same people who did such for us when we were pet owners. Mindy works from home and loves to work outside in her garden, which would mean a lot of outside time for your pet in our fenced in backyard. Carter is around more in the mornings and nights meaning if your animal is a “night owl” they shall still be cared for round the clock. We have a designated area for food and water in our house, along with many toys and bones from throughout the years. We are in a very safe neighborhood with a fenced in backyard and lots of room to run. Any animals living with us will always be treated with kindness and a sense of belonging no matter the duration of their stay!

About: I have always grown up with animals! I have had dogs, cats, birds, turtles, lizards, rabbits, chinchillas, fish, and most likely more that I just cant remember! I love animals. I currently have 2 dogs and a cat. My one dog was adopted was from ASPCA as a 3 legged dog. This does not slow her down! She loves playing and running. My other dog was adopted from an Amish family as a puppy. She loves to play as well. Both dogs enjoy chasing after my children, playing catch, tug a war, cuddling, going for walks and lots of belly rubs. I also have a cat that loves to cuddle and be loved on. He loves chasing after toys that move and relaxing in his cat tower. I used to own at dog that sadly passed away 2 years that I owned since she was a puppy. Unfortunately she got external cancer on her leg. I had to give her medicine several times a day, wash her wound twice a day, and prepare homemade meals for her. I currently work part time for a school so I will have plenty of time before and after that and on weekends to care for your pets. I love taking pets on walks, to the dog park, or just cuddling on the couch. I can drop in to your house as much as needed.

About: I take care of my brothers dogs and friends dogs while they’re out of town. I also have a cat and a Doberman that want love and attention constantly. I had plenty of experience with veterinarian offices throughout NE Indiana. But, the favorite titles I wear proudly are mom and dog mom and wife to my husband. Throughout the years I've had my heart full of animals -dogs being my speciality and of all sizes, breeds and characteristics. I am dependable, reliable and honest. And I’m easy to communicate with. I have been blessed to retire early after an extensive career in different areas, one being prior work in the pet care industry with plenty of trainings with several veterinarian clinics throughout NE Indiana. Your pet kid will be monitored 24/7 inside my home and outside of my home. As I do this with my own pet children. Throughout the years I've had my heart full of animals - dogs being my speciality of all sizes and breeds. While, also having some of the best cats in the mix of my dogs I care for them with all my background knowledge I've learned over the years of caring for and loving my dog babies. My home is always nice and tidy and so is my backyard. I keep their environment very tidy. I have a fenced in yard. My two dogs are never unsupervised during rain, snow or heat. I guess you would call me a helicopter pet parent. I do have nice kennels with bedding.
