“Erin did a wonderful job looking after my cat! My cat is incredibly shy around new people and spent most of the time hiding, but Erin still spent the time to sit with her (even when that just meant sitting next to a hiding cat!) and make sure she was taken care of with great updates at each visit.”

About: I have taken care of dogs & cats of all sizes for friends and family for over ten years. My own dog is a 13 year old German Shorthair Pointer I’ve had since she was a puppy, so I know all about the joys and challenges that come with puppy’s & senior dogs alike. I also have extensive experience caring for larger breed dogs such as Irish Wolfhounds & Saint Bernards. I can’t wait to meet your best friend! I’m currently working in a flexible schedule, so I have a ton of time to play with and care for your pet(s). I am available all day Monday & Tuesday (6am-10pm). I am also available Wednesday-Sunday anytime from 6am-11am and 3pm-10pm. I have a passion for caring for pets and my number one goal is to make sure your furry friend is happy, healthy, and safe in my care. I am able to provide engaging playtime indoors and outdoors or just companionship to lower energy pets. I am also comfortable administering topical & oral medications when taking care of your furry friends. I have a lot of experience with senior pets as well and am able to care for pets struggling with arthritis and/or incontinence.
“Abby is wonderful! She knows how to take good care of dogs and guinea pigs. Our pitbull mix Hazel got along with her really well. The guinea pigs were kept clean and healthy. I highly recommend her.”

About: Hi! I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and caring for them is truly something I love. Over the years, I’ve gained a lot of hands-on experience through privately dog sitting for friends, family, and repeat clients. From energetic puppies to older dogs who need a little extra patience and care, I’m comfortable handling a wide range of personalities and needs. More recently, I’ve started working at a kennel, where I care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments every day. This has given me even more experience with feeding routines, exercise, administering basic care, and making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every dog like they’re my own — with plenty of attention, affection, and reliable care. Whether your pup needs a fun walk, some playtime, or a calm and caring sitter, I’m here to help and make sure they’re happy and well taken care of! I currently maintain a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available most days for walks, drop-in visits, and playtime. This flexibility also enables me to accommodate a variety of routines and provide dependable, consistent care based on your dog’s specific needs. I prefer caring for dogs in their own home environment, where they feel most comfortable. I can come to you and maintain your dog’s normal routine, helping reduce stress and keep them happy.
“Karsyn made us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs for the weekend. Between all the check in’s and the photos, we knew our boys were in great hands! :) She is the absolute sweetest! We will definitely be using Karsyn for any future needs! :)”

About: I have had animals all my life. I have also worked with trainers and have hands on experience. I rode horses competitively for many years so am comfortable around any animal. At my childhood home I have a German Shepard and a Shih Tzu, along with two cats. In my own home I have two cats and a dog. Not at my home but I do have a horse! Have cared for multiple horses over the years along with barn work. I am currently a nanny about to start massage school in the summer! I also provide pet care of my employers. About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom of two, so I truly understand the importance of trusting the person caring for your pup. I have hands-on experience with dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to wise seniors—and I’m comfortable giving medication when needed. Whether it’s a neighborhood walk, a long hike, or some good old-fashioned cuddle time, I tailor each visit to your dog’s energy level and personality. My goal is always to keep tails wagging and pet parents worry-free. Pet care is naturally built into my daily life—I’m already walking, feeding, and loving on my two dogs every day. Adding extra walks, playtime, and check-ins for your pets fits seamlessly into my routine. I enjoy being active, so heading out for walks or hikes is something I look forward to, not something I “squeeze in.” Whether it’s weekdays or weekends, I make pet care a priority and keep a flexible schedule to meet the needs of both pets and their people. When pets are in my care, I treat them as if they were part of my family. In my own home, that means a safe, cozy environment, plenty of playtime, and regular walks to keep them happy and healthy. I keep routines consistent with what they’re used to—whether that’s mealtime schedules, medication, or favorite bedtime rituals. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the pet’s space and the family’s. I follow instructions carefully, ensure that food, water, and litter needs are met, and give each pet the level of attention and affection they’re comfortable with. Whether it’s a quick walk, a snuggle session, or a calm presence for a shy animal, I adapt to what each pet needs most.
About: My partner Jack and I love caring for pets! Both of us have been caretakers for pets practically our whole lives, including senior pets and pets with special needs, in addition to small animals like rodents and birds. Whoever you need help with, we’re more than capable. We are so excited to get to know your pets. With us, your pets will get all the attention and exercise they need during your busy day. We are both very attentive to your pets needs and do our best to make them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. We know just how important your companion is to you, so safety is taken into consideration at all times. We keep dogs on leashes at all times when letting them go outside. I work as a barista at a coffee shop and Jack is an employee at Pitt. Together our schedules allow us to have at least 1 person home for most of the day. On rare occasions when neither of us are home, at most we are away for 3-4 hours. We have a large yard with a lead and 2 cats. Our house is moderately sized, with room for playing and relaxing. We are attentive to feeding schedules and potty breaks.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Venetia
Erin did a wonderful job watching our cats while we were on vacation. After booking her several times we feel that we can count on her to take care of them, give them love and attention and handle anything that comes up while we are gone. She communicates everything we need to know and we would recommend her enthusiastically. Thanks Erin!

Bailey is a very responsible, pet loving sitter who really impressed me with all she had done for my cats. I have a cat with a nervous stomach, so much so that when I'm gone for a few days, he almost always gets sick... she noticed the mess and actually cleaned it up! Not many sitters will do that extra chore and I just thought that was very kind of her. She also accepted the job at the very last minute. I had booked with a different sitter a couple of weeks before my vacation and she texted me the day before i was set to leave, explaining that she had no way of getting to my house to pet sit for me. So, all in all, Bailey was there for me when I really needed her and my cats warmed up to her pretty quickly. I'm extremely happy with all that Bailey has done for me and I hope to be able to book with her again, she's great!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
