“I have never left my cat in the care of a stranger before, so after my original sitter fell through I was incredibly nervous when booking a new one, but Cheyenne was perfect. She was available last minute, was super sweet, and sent such cute videos and photos of her with my kitty, who she seemed to do very well with. If I ever find myself needing a cat sitter again I know exactly who to call.”

About: I’m currently a stay at home mom with open availability 7 days a week for drop ins and walks! All of my employees at my former full time job took advantage of the opportunity to bring their dog to work with them. I spent most days at work caring for my employees' fur babies in the office while they repair vehicles. It gives them the chance to spend time with their pups even when they're away from home 8+ hours per day. I have experience with breeds of all sizes, including massive breeds such as great danes. I often tell people "My life revolves around cars, trucks, & dogs." I’m currently a stay at home mom with open availability! I have plenty of free time to spend with your fur babies and give them the love & exercise that they deserve! I currently don’t offer any services in my own home due to my own dogs’ territorial personalities, but I look forward to being welcomed into my clients homes!

About: Hi friends! I have always grown up with plenty of dogs and I absolutely love them. “Jocelyn was a joy to work with, we hired her to watch 2 cats in our home for over 10 days. Our meet and greet and all communication were very positive and clear. During the meet and greet one of my cats immediately took to her and they became fast friends. Our other boy is exceedingly shy and hid but I did not think this had anything to do with her personally. Jocelyn was responsive, attentive and patient with all needs and questions, following all directions, arriving on time, staying the full time, etc. I received multiple photos every visit and an update. She even put out bird seed in our outside feeder for us as an extra touch- which was great because our cats like to watch them. I was in a different time zone and sometimes did not reply to her right away but she was gracious about this every time. When there was a situation where she needed to have a child family member with her for one visit she did not assume it would be ok to bring them in - she asked first. We didn’t mind and so appreciated that she was a person who would be conscientious enough to ask. We came home to a house just as we left it and 2 healthy cats. This whole experience was such a relief because it is stressful to have a new person in your home and be far away for the first time, but we have already booked her again for another trip we have planned and feel good about that. Do not hesitate to book her - I will keep her on speed dial!”

“Molly was awesome. She took great care of my buddy while I was gone. Communicated very well and sent me some great pics. I know he was in great hands with her and I will definitely use Molly again.”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom of two, so I truly understand the importance of trusting the person caring for your pup. I have hands-on experience with dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to wise seniors—and I’m comfortable giving medication when needed. Whether it’s a neighborhood walk, a long hike, or some good old-fashioned cuddle time, I tailor each visit to your dog’s energy level and personality. My goal is always to keep tails wagging and pet parents worry-free. Pet care is naturally built into my daily life—I’m already walking, feeding, and loving on my two dogs every day. Adding extra walks, playtime, and check-ins for your pets fits seamlessly into my routine. I enjoy being active, so heading out for walks or hikes is something I look forward to, not something I “squeeze in.” Whether it’s weekdays or weekends, I make pet care a priority and keep a flexible schedule to meet the needs of both pets and their people. When pets are in my care, I treat them as if they were part of my family. In my own home, that means a safe, cozy environment, plenty of playtime, and regular walks to keep them happy and healthy. I keep routines consistent with what they’re used to—whether that’s mealtime schedules, medication, or favorite bedtime rituals. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the pet’s space and the family’s. I follow instructions carefully, ensure that food, water, and litter needs are met, and give each pet the level of attention and affection they’re comfortable with. Whether it’s a quick walk, a snuggle session, or a calm presence for a shy animal, I adapt to what each pet needs most.

About: I’ve had dogs and the occasional cat since I was born, including a sweet old lab/doberman mix, a lazy corgi mix, and an anxious westie. I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters from a young age and have watched over many friends’ and neighbors’ pets. I’m free just about 24/7 as I’m on summer break from university. I’m more than happy to stay overnight, stop by throughout the day, and be up early in the morning. When taking care of your pets, all of my attention will be on them and their health, safety, and comfort. Beyond that, I will follow whatever instructions are given to me, as I understand every pet is different. I’m happy to play energetically or sit quietly while your pet gets used to a new friend.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Ginger Hill
Katrena did a wonderful job for us taking care of our cat Esther. Esther was not exactly the most cooperative cat but Katrena handled the situation well, was excellent as far as communications went, and took fine care of her. I would definitely recommend Katrena.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 39 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Ginger Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
