“Madyson was excellent with my dog Copper! His stay with her and Sparky involved lots of play time, cuddles, and great communication with us! Madyson is very attentive with any needs Copper has. I would highly recommend her!”

“Janet was wonderful with Luna! She was caring, attentive, and made sure Luna felt comfortable and loved. The pictures she updated me with says it all. Luna looks completely at home and so happy! 🐺❤️ I really appreciated the peace of mind knowing she was in great hands. Highly recommend Janet!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter. From the moment we connected, it was clear how much Nelia genuinely cares about dogs. While I was away, she sent regular updates and pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was obvious my dog was not only well taken care of, but also happy, comfortable, and getting lots of attention. I came home to a relaxed, happy dog. I highly recommend Nelia to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring dog sitter. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Courtney is wonderful with my dogs. I can always go away and feel comfortable leaving them with. I appreciate every thing she does for them and I know they will be safe and well taken care of.”

“Michelle and her family are fantastic! This was our first time using Rover and Michelle completely put our mind at ease. After two back to back stays our girl Savannah was beyond happy. She adores Michelle and her family and really enjoys her time there. So much room to run and play and the comfort of being in a home and getting lots of love and attention. Michelle sent us updates and pictures during her stay showing how well Savannah was doing and all the fun she was having! As long as Michelle and her family will have her I don’t think we will ever go back to the kennel.”

“Highly recommend. Our boy was well taken care of with daily updates and pictures. He loved playing with her dogs and actually came home pretty tired from all the activity. Will definitely be using Melissa again.”
“Couldn’t be more complementary about Lindsay and her family other than to say that they made Rusty feel like another part of their family. They welcomed him with open arms knowing he had counter surfing issues and separation anxiety. From the photos she sent, it is evident that Rusty enjoyed his stay.”

“Excellent pet watcher!! I highly recommend. They were very responsive, and flexible. My cat T-square had a blast at there place. He was loved, groomed, and cared for, as if he was with me! ❤️”

“Emily and Patrick were great sitters for Nola while we were away attending a wedding. They sent multiple pictures and video updates for us, and Nola had a great time playing with Eli! Thank you so much 😊”

“AJ was a great sitter for the weekend for my Jack Russell. AJ was very attentive and took excellent care of Diesel. Will definitely book again with AJ. Thank you so much for keeping my mind at ease with sending updates and photos!”

“Amazing, caring, kind, compassionate, responsible.... Jessica and her family are phenomenal. They took care of our senior girl for 11 days while we were out of the country. Jessica was so professional and organized as we prepared for such a long time away. She helped me prepare emergency medical care contingencies (our dog is almost 16) in case it became necessary and she thought of things for us to plan prior to our departure. Given that she is a veteran in the Rover system, Jessica knew everything that I didn't even know I had to think about. Her professionalism was second only to her caring compassion. She loved our dog like one of her own, giving snuggles and love to her, making sure that our girl handled all of the changes smoothly. Our dog bonded with another senior dog and Jessica would send regular updates (with pictures and a video) of our girl playing, galloping and spending time in the sun. All of these things eased my anxiety about leaving our dog for so long. I would absolutely book with Jessica again. Her home is a haven and our Zena loved her time there. When we picked our girl up, she ran to us and was happy to see us -- but she also ran back to Jessica and her family for affection, showing me that our dog was comfortable, loved and well cared for in Jessica's home while we were away. Without reservation, Jessica receives my highest recommendation.”

“We couldn’t be happier with Breanna doggie sitting our senior girl over the weekend. Breanna’s communication throughout the process was amazing proving updates and photos. Her experience with dogs truly showed. We had no worries! Highly recommend Breanna. Our girl misses her already.”

About: I've been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for a variety of pets. Growing up with multiple pets taught me how to recognize their needs, provide loving care, and keep them safe and comfortable. I currently enjoy going on daily walks, so I'm happy to give dogs the exercise and attention they need. Whether it's feeding, walking, playing, or simply keeping your pet company, I'll treat them like they're my own. I'm reliable, patient, and understand that every pet has its own personality and routine. My schedule is very flexible right now! I recently returned to IUP to finish my senior year of nursing school. While I’m here, I’m available most days for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. I’m happy to accommodate morning, afternoon, or evening visits whenever possible. My class schedule varies each day, but I’m flexible and will always work around it to provide your pets with the best care and attention! When caring for pets in my client's home, I always follow their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and safe. I use a leash for all walks and outdoor potty breaks, and I can crate dogs when needed if that's part of their routine. I make sure pets have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise, playtime, and lots of attention. I'm happy to follow any specific instructions, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), and any special care your pet requires. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while you're away.
“Just concluded our first stay with Danielle. More happy with this stay than any other I have booked previously with other sitters through Rover. I got pics, videos, and updates multiple times each day. I could tell the way my girl ran around the house when I got there that she was comfortable with her surroundings and I witnessed her loving to play with Danielle's dogs and sons. Peach looked great and healthy and was very happy when I picked her up.”

“The girls LOVED their time at Kacy's. They were passed out for nearly a day after they got home. Kacy has two sweet pups of her own that played my my kids the entire time. Will be calling in Kacy again. Thank you!!!”

“We felt confident leaving Willow with Jessica that she would be well taken care of and loved. Jessica kept us up to date with pictures and Willow looked the princess she believes she is. She definitely made herself at home. We will definitely use Jessica again when we go away. Robin Harvey”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ginger Hill home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ginger Hill.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ginger Hill sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
