“After a late cancellation by our usual dog sitter for reasons beyond her control my son suggested Rover. In doing a search I found Nina who was close to us and thankfully available. We have a 4 year old German shepherd who is somewhat protective of my wife and I as well as our home; we also have a 1 year old Golden Retriever who is exceptionally shy. During the meet and greet it took all of 2 minutes for our shepherd to walk around the house licking Nina’s hand, Nina is a natural with dogs. It took a little longer for our shy little golden girl to warm up to her but it came through time and positive attention. Nina provided us with regular updates and excellent care for our beloved pups, we couldn’t ask for any more! On our return home the house was immaculate, the dogs were happy and well cared for, Nina was a star and set the bar so high that in the future we’ll be making our vacation plans around Nina’s availability! I am retired from full time work, but do participate in volunteer activity. A part time role of caring for your pet as needed will best fit my schedule. About: Everyone will say that they love dogs but not only do I love dogs but all animals. I have worked in 4 AZA accredited zoos as well as Walt Disney World. About: I was raised on a small family farm, and have cared for goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, and more while a part of that. As a child and teenager, I trained dogs through my local 4-H program, and later on started petsitting for family friends. I've cared for puppies, senior dogs, cats, chickens, cows, pigs, goats, turtles, geese, canaries, ducks, and so many others, and I'm always willing to learn something new! I work full-time, night shifts during the week and mornings on weekends, but I'm typically only gone 8 hours max, so there's still plenty of time for me to provide plenty of care and attention to the pets! I typically stay overnight, and will either crate the pets if needed, or let them sleep with me, I wake up with them and spend my day hanging out with them, playing or just relaxing. I do my best to care for each pet as their owner would, to help minimize stress.
