Our dog was a breeder who also has needed a lot of specialized care. I am most experienced with rodents (have owned over 8 rats, 4 guinea pigs and a rabbit)! I've never personally owned a bird or a lizard, but have cared for friends and I always commit to accurate research. Our cats are indoor and outdoor but I am always checking on them and keep a consistent feeding schedule to prevent overeating (they have sensitive stomachs). Our dog is also very needy, as she has some anxiety from her last owner so she needs to always be accompanied while outside and will not do certain things alone. I keep my rats in my room where they get frequent engagement with the whole family, and I enjoy making homemade puzzles and toys for them. Overall, all of our animals live active, healthy lives!

About: Everyone will say that they love dogs but not only do I love dogs but all animals. I have worked in 4 AZA accredited zoos as well as Walt Disney World. I have worked with dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, donkeys, llamas and many more animals. I am able to communicate well with people about their animals as well as recognize the body language of dogs to understand if they're feeling tired, anxious etc. I also understand the patience that comes with animals, especially dogs that may feel timid around new people, and the need to calmly wait for them to accept you. I am mainly available at night on weekends and weekdays but am available anytime during the day on Saturday and Sundays. I am energetic and can keep up with many dogs by running, playing, walking long distances and more! Pet care fits into my routine very well. About: I’ve been a dog owner since 2020, when I got my first dog as a puppy. Since then, I’ve learned firsthand what it takes to raise, train, and care for a dog from a young age. I currently have two dogs and they’re a big part of my everyday life! I’m a senior in high school with no extracurriculars during this season, which makes my schedule very flexible. I work from home full-time, and together we only take a few dogs at a time, so every pup gets lots of attention in a comfortable, home environment🤍 We carry our own private pet care insurance (not just Rover’s standard protection). We also keep a consistent routine so everything feels easy for the dogs. We care for every dog together as a team. My husband Nate works at a local school and gets home early, so one (and often both) of us is home throughout the day. We help dogs get comfortable using our dog door so they can go in and out freely and keep their usual routine. We’ve worked with puppies as well and can help reinforce things like potty training, crate time, and settling into a new environment. We keep things relaxed and typically have up to 3 dogs at a time, so every dog has space to feel comfortable. We do a quick meet & greet beforehand to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. Our setup works best for small to medium dogs. We have a fully fenced yard with a custom-built dog door, plus added safety features like anti-dig guards and front porch fencing for extra peace of mind. We also have cameras covering the backyard and main dog areas so we can keep a close eye on everyone. Inside, things are clean, cozy, and dog-safe, with floors and common areas kept clear so dogs don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. She dispensed meds several times a day to our senior German Shepherd and was able to keep our very active, lovable, snuggly -yet sometimes naughty Whippet puppy busy. I was a manager at a daycare for over 7 years and in my time there cared for up to 95 dogs a day!
