“After a late cancellation by our usual dog sitter for reasons beyond her control my son suggested Rover. In doing a search I found Nina who was close to us and thankfully available. We have a 4 year old German shepherd who is somewhat protective of my wife and I as well as our home; we also have a 1 year old Golden Retriever who is exceptionally shy. During the meet and greet it took all of 2 minutes for our shepherd to walk around the house licking Nina’s hand, Nina is a natural with dogs. It took a little longer for our shy little golden girl to warm up to her but it came through time and positive attention. Nina provided us with regular updates and excellent care for our beloved pups, we couldn’t ask for any more! On our return home the house was immaculate, the dogs were happy and well cared for, Nina was a star and set the bar so high that in the future we’ll be making our vacation plans around Nina’s availability! Rover provided us with a great communication platform and peace of mind for our dog’s care in our absence. Do we recommend Rover: Yes, do we recommend Nina: absolutely!!”

Our dog is also very needy, as she has some anxiety from her last owner so she needs to always be accompanied while outside and will not do certain things alone. I keep my rats in my room where they get frequent engagement with the whole family, and I enjoy making homemade puzzles and toys for them. Overall, all of our animals live active, healthy lives!

I work from home full-time, and together we only take a few dogs at a time, so every pup gets lots of attention in a comfortable, home environment🤍 We carry our own private pet care insurance (not just Rover’s standard protection). We also keep a consistent routine so everything feels easy for the dogs. We care for every dog together as a team. My husband Nate works at a local school and gets home early, so one (and often both) of us is home throughout the day. We help dogs get comfortable using our dog door so they can go in and out freely and keep their usual routine. We’ve worked with puppies as well and can help reinforce things like potty training, crate time, and settling into a new environment. We keep things relaxed and typically have up to 3 dogs at a time, so every dog has space to feel comfortable. We do a quick meet & greet beforehand to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. Our setup works best for small to medium dogs. We have a fully fenced yard with a custom-built dog door, plus added safety features like anti-dig guards and front porch fencing for extra peace of mind. We also have cameras covering the backyard and main dog areas so we can keep a close eye on everyone. Inside, things are clean, cozy, and dog-safe, with floors and common areas kept clear so dogs don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. About: Everyone will say that they love dogs but not only do I love dogs but all animals. I have worked in 4 AZA accredited zoos as well as Walt Disney World. I have worked with dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, donkeys, llamas and many more animals. I am able to communicate well with people about their animals as well as recognize the body language of dogs to understand if they're feeling tired, anxious etc. I also understand the patience that comes with animals, especially dogs that may feel timid around new people, and the need to calmly wait for them to accept you. I am mainly available at night on weekends and weekdays but am available anytime during the day on Saturday and Sundays. About: I’ve been a dog owner since 2020, when I got my first dog as a puppy. Since then, I’ve learned firsthand what it takes to raise, train, and care for a dog from a young age. I currently have two dogs and they’re a big part of my everyday life! I’m a senior in high school with no extracurriculars during this season, which makes my schedule very flexible. I also have my own transportation, so I’m reliable and easy to coordinate with! I take safety seriously and always make sure dogs are supervised and comfortable. About: I have worked with medically complex dogs before and have babysit all types of animals including guinea pigs and rats and i also watch fish i would rather work weekends as i am in school and work at my daycare during the week so i would not have adequate time to watch animals during the week I prefer to work out of the house for the animal and have a meetup a few days prior to the actual job and make everything will all work out
