“After a late cancellation by our usual dog sitter for reasons beyond her control my son suggested Rover. In doing a search I found Nina who was close to us and thankfully available. We have a 4 year old German shepherd who is somewhat protective of my wife and I as well as our home; we also have a 1 year old Golden Retriever who is exceptionally shy. During the meet and greet it took all of 2 minutes for our shepherd to walk around the house licking Nina’s hand, Nina is a natural with dogs. It took a little longer for our shy little golden girl to warm up to her but it came through time and positive attention. Nina provided us with regular updates and excellent care for our beloved pups, we couldn’t ask for any more! On our return home the house was immaculate, the dogs were happy and well cared for, Nina was a star and set the bar so high that in the future we’ll be making our vacation plans around Nina’s availability! About: I have been fortunate enough to have had animals most of my life. These have ranged from dogs, rabbits, chickens, horses, cows, and fish. I have volunteered time at a wildlife rehab and also worked a few years at a dog daycare facility that would average about 50 dogs a day. I have a bachelors degree in Animal behavior, ecology and conservation. I have always had a special place in my heart for animals. I currently have 2 rabbits and a dog. I am a substitute teacher so my schedule is rather flexible. It allows me to arrange my week how I need it. My afternoons are usually pretty open. I will ensure that each pet is safe, secure and well taken care of in the comfort of their own home while providing updates to their families.

Pet care fits really well into my routine because I work a consistent school schedule as a teacher and have plenty of time after work, in the evenings, and on weekends. Since I’m used to having four dogs in my family, caring for animals already feels like a natural part of my day. I always make safety, comfort, and trust a priority. I follow each owner’s instructions closely and try to keep pets on their normal routine so they feel as comfortable as possible. I am retired from full time work, but do participate in volunteer activity. A part time role of caring for your pet as needed will best fit my schedule.
