“Excellent! Tallulah was out like a light for the rest of the evening. Sabrina was very caring and kept me posted all day. Her visits will definitely be a regular thing. ❤️”

“Linda was ready to take care of our pups when we arrived. She has tons of experience with many dogs and we felt at peace leaving our two there for the day while we went to see the Sequoias. If we come back to the area and need a sitter again we will certainly contact Linda!”

About: Hi, I grew up around several different animals of all sizes from rodents/reptiles to livestock/dogs. I have always had at least one dog in my life at all times. The more the merrier. I love all animals big and small. I worked at a kennel where I learned about boarding and training dogs for about a year and I have pet sat for about 15 years in grand total. I currently work at a pet store in Sutter Creek. I love being around dogs and training or even just hanging out and playing. I am a outdoorsy person. I have experience with livestock animals also. Horses, cattle, chickens, Lhamas, mini animals, donkeys. I have references also if you would like them. Our home is completely fenced and sits on 3 acres. We have two friendly german shepherds. I work part time so some days I am gone at work. But our 17 year old daughter is always home. We also go to church Sunday morning so we would be gone for a couple hours but otherwise we are always home. I care for pets in my home as I would my own. I have 3 German Shepherds. 10 months to 7 years old. As for in home pet sitting I would follow whatever routine you have set for your fur babies already so it would be easier on them.
“This was my first time using ROVER.and am completely satisfied!! We arrived at our hotel and learned that while it is pet friendly you can’t leave your animal unattended. We had planned two days of motorcycle riding and having him ride in front of me was not an option. In a panic I downloaded Rover from the App Store and found Michele!! The entire family was AMAZING!! Their dog CC made Moultrie feel at home. In fact he had such a great time the first day that he bounded into the house the next morning! THANK YOU for everything!! Jessica”

About: I have always been in love with animals, and so from a young age I have always been the one to help a person babysit there fur babies if needed, and what better way to spend time making money, taking care of different amazing animals. It brings me pure joy!:) I am pretty flexible and could do it any day of the week, but I prefer not to do over nights unless you are gone for long periods of time. I always make sure that other peoples pets are comfortable with me, and have everything that they need, and more. One on one time with the animals are also important to me as the bond clicks faster. I will always make sure everyone’s animals are 100% being taken of with only the best care! And loved!!!!

As a proud grandma with lots of energy, I understand that every pet deserves love, patience, and individual attention. Whether it's going for walks, playing fetch, giving belly rubs, keeping a regular feeding schedule, or simply providing companionship, I'll treat your pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry family member. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you're away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in caring hands. Since I'm retired, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your dog the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Daily walks are already part of my routine, so having a furry friend join me makes them even more enjoyable! I live in a quiet, safe, gated community that's perfect for relaxing walks and exploring new sights and smells. Whether your dog enjoys an energetic stroll, a leisurely walk, or simply spending time with someone who loves animals, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and included in my day. Your dog's safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priorities. I'll treat them like family, giving them lots of love, attention, and affection while they're in my care. I follow each pet's regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications (if needed), and plenty of affection. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, so I take the time to help them feel at ease and give them the individual attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a calm, clean, loving environment where your pet feels right at home while you're away, giving you peace of mind that they're being cared for like one of my own.

About: Kevin and I have both been caring for dogs and many other types of animals for our entire lives and absolutely couldn’t envision our life without several animals. Kevin has grown up around a family dog business - participating in AKC scent trials, agility training, boarding and almost any other type of dog event & training you can imagine. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire lifetime and used to help foster kittens as a child and teenager. We currently have two dogs, several cats, chickens, turkeys and more. Your animals will be in safe and caring hands with us! We both work but set our own schedules and/or work from home so your dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. Since we have animals of our own, caring for additional pets is not a problem and part of our normal lifestyle. We have a large fenced dog run outside, in home kennel area, along with crates for crate trained dogs. Our property is about 5 acres and fully fenced with front gates so dogs cannot leave the area. We also have a couple large lawns we use for doggy playtime, fetch and training sessions.
About: I’ve owned and taken care of all types of dogs. From Rottweilers to currently owning a Rat Terrier. I love dogs and have been known to be able to teach them some minor tricks. Most importantly, I love to let them be themselves and have fun. I walk every day for exercise, so walking your dog would not be an issue for me. The more I walk the more weight I’ll lose. I have a one bedroom apartment. But it’s big enough to take care of multiple pets. My dog has three beds herself. I have a playpen area where they can play many dog toys, and treats.

“Chona was great with our dobie - took him in after a very last minute request, which is so difficult to find lately! She provided lots of photos & updates, which we greatly appreciate. She was also very communicative before & during his stay with her. We will definitely be booking with her again, thank you so much Chona!🐶🤎”

“This was our first time booking a doggy daycare with Ryckie, she was so great with our dobie Odyn! She made sure to send updates with photos which is super important to us. He had a blast, & was very well taken care of! 10/10 will definitely be booking with her again, thank you Ryckie!🤎🐶”

“Jasmine had a daytime stay with Rochelle and her lovely family. I was so happy to see how much her children enjoyed having Jasmine. They were all calling her a princess and asking when she could come back. I would highly recommend this sweet sitter ☺️🐾🐾”

About: Though I am not well versed in special needs dogs, ones with anxiety I know far to well as my Bella suffers daily. Constant love and affection would be given to ensure your fur babies feel right at home as if you’ve never left. Hello I’m Melissa a newly FT stay at home mom of 2. I homeschool during the morning and have fun by mid afternoon so adding some visitors to my day would be my pleasure! Both my Bombay cat and Deer Chihuahua were rescued. I work with many rescues in the surrounding areas to make sure all strays brought home find their forever homes. I do live in a rental so I do request that they are potty trained! Both my cat and dog are fully house broke and getting up in the night for those midnight tinkle breaks are possible since my dog is a senior and needs to go too. I hope that gives you a little insight to my life and allows you to be comfortable in choosing me as your fur babies mini vaca destination. I have a fully fenced decent size back yard with cameras for lots of room to run and get their wiggles out or just explore and sunbathe. I have a large crate if they prefer some quiet time alone just request you bring their favorite bed or blanket so they have a piece of home to comfort them.
“angela kept monty for a few hours and so i was worried he wouldnt get a chance to settle in. thankfully angela had a super calm and gentle energy and he had a place to rest while i was away at a meeting. thank you!”

“Upon meeting Lisa, I felt very much at ease. What a wonderful, caring individual. My dog, Louis, is always nervous when meeting new doggie sitters, but Lisa took him in her arms and I knew that Louis would be fine. I appreciated the update during the day. When picking up, Louis was in great spirits and I knew he had a great day. Thank you Lisa, and look forward to having you care for Louis again, in the fiuture!!”

Sabrina was great! She kept me notified throughout the time my puppy was in her care. My puppy was a little nervous and showed a little anxiety at first. Sabrina gave him a little guidance to help him feel more comfortable and confident to be in the area. I think it was great for Clifford to be around different animals and experience her backyard:) I will definitely book again soon 👍

Sabrina was an amazing sitter to work with. Ollie can be a little anxious and loud at drop off and she quickly redirected his attention to the surroundings and other animals so that he calmed down. I really liked that she introduced him to all the farm animals and he seemed very content during his stay. I even see a smile in some photos. Best of all he was tired and relaxed so we’ll definitely be back to hang out at Sabrina’s. I highly recommend her farm for any pup that loved scents and open space with good company.

Sabrina and her husband are wonderful! They took such great care of our two pups. It was our dogs’ first stay with them, and they immediately made both us and our pups feel at ease. They really know how to make dogs feel welcome, and it’s clear that they are both great with animals. Communication was excellent—we received pictures and even a video, which meant a lot to us. We could tell our pups were happy and well cared for. We would absolutely trust them to watch our dogs again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, caring dog sitters.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
