About: I’ve been caring for pets—especially cats and dogs—since I was a teenager, and animals have always held a special place in my heart. In fact, I somehow figured out how to win over the neighborhood dogs when I was younger, and before long, they were stopping by my house every day to visit! My core values are simple: loving your pets unconditionally, loving their people, and building relationships based on honesty and trust—with pets and humans alike. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is in good hands, and I treat that responsibility with the same care and attention I would want for my own animals. I work from home and take several breaks during the day to do walkies or give cuddles and pets. I'll adjust to your pet's needs and your requests. I have a partially fenced backyard where dogs can enjoy some supervised outdoor time, but I prefer taking my furry guests on walks for exercise, fresh air, and a chance to explore the neighborhood. Whether your pets need overnight companionship or just a little care and attention during the day, I can stay in your home or make scheduled visits based on what works best for you and your pets.
“Tara was amazing with Daisy!! She loved her, spoiled her, and let her be as comfy at her home as she would be here at her actual home! I would love for Daisy to stay with Tara again!!”

“Megan did a great job with my puppy, Shiloh. Shiloh seemed to have a great time with Megan and her family. Megan sent daily photos, kept in good communication with me, and I felt good about leaving my pup with her. I’d use her again with no hesitation!”

“Caring and attentive, she knows the right questions to ask and will give the upmost care to your dog. She gave updates and communicates clearly. Your dog will be happy and smiling as well, thank you!!”

“Stephanie was great! She was really good about communicating with me and responded quickly. When I had a timing mix-up she was flexible and worked around my schedule. I had never left my kitten at another house before, so she allowed me to do a little day care for free before the actual dates I was gone to allow him to get used to the environment which was so nice. She also had two very sweet but super active dogs and a friendly cat. My kitty is pretty chill and adjusted well but I could see all of the other animals (especially the dogs) potentially being a lot for a skiddish/anxious animal to handle. At the end of the day I got Kuzco back a very happy cat and I would definitely trust her to watch him again :) Thank you!!”

“Left our two large and active dogs with Garrett for a week while we went on vacation! They had the best time, we got pictures and updates everyday, and picked up clean dogs that were absolutely exhausted! We will definitely be looking to board with Garrett in the future!”

“Joy was amazing! She was very sweet and knowledgeable about dogs! She had a very large fenced in yard and our pup got lots of snuggles and playtime both inside and out! She sent pictures everyday and assured us that our dog was having a great time! I would highly recommend her and we will be using her again!!”

“Alyssa was awesome! Our first time using the Rover app and Alyssa came highly recommended. She was easy to work with, took great care of our dog and sent updates daily. We felt very assured that our dog was safe and having a great time while we were away for the weekend. Cannot recommend her enough ?”

About: Pets have always been a big part of our lives, and my wife and I have cared for animals for as long as we can remember. My wife also worked as a veterinary technician for 17 years, giving us years of experience caring for pets with different personalities, needs, and medical concerns. We understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets in someone else's care. We treat every animal like family and provide plenty of love, attention, playtime, and individualized care while you're away. I set aside dedicated time each day for feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention, while also keeping pets’ spaces clean and comfortable. I’m happy to follow each pet’s established schedule and care instructions, including medications or special needs discussed in advance. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident that your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I provide consistent attention to their individual needs, including feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I follow each pet’s established schedule and care instructions, including medications or special needs discussed in advance, and keep their spaces clean, safe, and comfortable.

“Snickers did great with Ben and his wife. They took her for walks and played ball with her. I’m sure she had fun playing with their dog. I would definitely let Snickers stay with them again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Valley Falls
The pictures and the memes that she sent every day on our vacation, literally put me at ease. They also cracked me up.😂🤣 to find someone that obviously loves dogs & makes them feel at home is incredibly rare. I never want anyone else watching my dogs except for Martha. 💕💕💕

Liliya and family were fantastic! We can’t thank them enough for taking care of Cashew. Short story long…we had another sitter cancel last minute and left us in a bind. We scrambled and found Liliya to take care of our little guy. She responded quickly and efficiently. We can’t thank her enough. She left us updated with pics and correspondence. Would highly recommend!

lauren’s home was just what sydney needed while i was away. sydney was loved on and included in everything. lauren was communicative, and she and her husband treated sydney like they do their own pets. whenever i need to go out of town without sydney, lauren’s home is where i want her to be.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Valley Falls home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Valley Falls.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Valley Falls sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
