I am a stay-at-home mom of a todder, so I have a lot of flexibility to work with your schedule. I am fully able to work around having dogs in my home and scheduling my appointments and errands so that your dogs are fully taken care of. If you are entrusting me with your dog for daycare, I will communicate with you my daily schedule to make sure that you know when I’ll be home with them or if I’ll need to leave at any point.

My top priorities are that your dogs are safe, healthy, and happy. I am happy to work with them to make sure they are eating, I can administer medication of any kind that you need, including diabetic injections, and I am happy to monitor them both indoors and out to make sure they are healthy and behaving normally. I am huge on communication, so I will be happy to send pictures, updates, and anything else you would like anytime I am in your home. I do require all dogs that stay in my home to have a kennel they bring with them. It is my goal to use the kennel as little as possible, but with a young child in the home, as well as another dog, I require the ability to easily and safely separate the pets in my home for short periods of time. In addition, it is unsafe to leave unknown dogs free in my home while I am not there, so I require the ability to kennel them for short bursts of time when I need to leave and overnight.

While I love all your amazing dogs, my home isn’t well suited for all of them. I will happily accept any small dogs as long as they are reasonably dog and child friendly (though I will never leave them alone with my toddler unattended regardless). My dog loves all little dogs no matter how crazy, so they’re always welcome! I can take medium and large dogs, but only if they are typically calmer or low energy. Your high energy lab or pit is adorable, and I love him, but unfortunately my dog will not. Senior dogs are welcome in all sizes, and any large dogs who are willing to nap with my pup on the couch are also welcome. Thanks so much, and I can’t wait to meet your pups!

My day-to-day with my dogs varies greatly by their needs. Some dogs want to go out for consistent playtime and mental enrichment activities, while others want to hang out on the couch and get some scritches. Whatever your dog’s preference, I’m happy to work with them.

I have worked in doggy daycares and boarding facilities since I was 16. Most recently, I was a kennel manager of a facility in VA for over a year. I have also worked in R+ dog training, studied for service dog training, and I have learned some dog grooming. I am trained in working with anxiety, mild reactivity, and excitability in dogs of all sizes. I am willing to work with your dog at their speed to help them be comfortable with me and make sure that my visits are something they look forward to rather than dread.

We booked Emilee sort of last minute when our regular sitter was not available for an overnight trip we had to take. Emilee was very professional, and an excellent communicator and our pupper loved her instantly! She is equipped with a large fenced yard in the back, and took great care of our girl like she was her own. I would absolutely hire her again! Very pleased.
Will definitely be recommending to anybody that needs a dog sitter, very responsive and is always sending updates on how our dog is doing! Makes you feel comfortable knowing your dogs in good hands!
Emilee was amazing! I had to book the morning of (very last minute) because I was leaving for a trip, and she responded immediately with questions and concerns regarding my pup Chloe, she was very understanding I dropped her off within that next hour and she greeted us with open arms! She also sent photos everyday of our girl having fun with the other dogs which we loved to see! Thanks again for sharing your home and having patience with our little miss Chloe!🩷🩷
