“Gabriela and Richard were so kind and sweet with my toy poodle! They even took her on little adventures to get doggie ice cream and nice walks around the neighborhood, aside from plenty of outside time in their own fenced-in backyard! Gabriela was super great about texting updates and super cute pics of my girl! And they even got her to eat a good bit while I was away even though she usually tries to go on a hunger strike in my absence. Gabriela met us for like 15 mins at the local park before boarding and got to know my dog and garner some info from me, which I really appreciated and not a lot of boarders do that! My girl was very happy when I picked her up and I would absolutely rebook Gabriela and Richard! Highly recommend!”

“Doug and Deb took care of our 11-year old medium-sized dog for 2 days/1 night while we were at a wedding. They were wonderful! We explained ahead of time that she is immunocompromised and can’t be around other dogs unless we’re 100% sure they are vaccinated, so Doug & Deb made sure she was the only “guest” in their home that weekend. They were also very accommodating when we let them know a few days before our trip that our dog would be wearing a cone and needed some antibiotic cream applied after a toenail injury. And of course, they sent pictures and reports on how she was doing throughout her stay. We will definitely use their services again in the future!”

Even with a wonderful grassy fenced-in backyard to play in, Camille also took our dog for two walks along the peaceful tree-lined neighborhood she resides in. Our dog is generally anxious in new settings but, when I came to pick him up, he was completely relaxed on the rug along with their dog, Rosie. With other Rover sitters, he usually bolts for me and the door simultaneously with a wide-eyed frenzy which I had always chalked up to his anxious personality. When my dog didn't bolt, I knew immediately that she had been especially hospitable kind and loving towards him - for him to feel so safe and look so comfortable and at home. I saw it in his manner and felt it in my gut. There is only one other Rover sitter (out of many we have tried) that has had this effect on him. I grew up with a chocolate lab mix, then when she passed away my family got a three legged black lab and a chesapeake bay retriever. Then, when I was in college, a chocolate lab climbed into my car and after months of trying to find his owners, I decided to keep him. Those puppies have since passed, but our family has 2 giant black labs currently. I’ve also had 4 Guinea Pigs who I loved dearly. I currently work from home part of the time and love four legged angels (sometimes 3, I had a 3 legged dog growing up). I am available in the early mornings, evenings and on the weekends consistently, but can work out weekday daytime availability with advanced notice. I make sure the animals all have the appropriate food/water setups at all times (per owners instructions depending on pet’s specific needs), as well as making sure the temperature is comfortable for the pet. I prioritize exercise and bathroom breaks for each pet. There is never a lack of social interaction when I am around. Pretty much, I view pets as family and think they deserve the best. If they have specific requirements, I will always follow whatever rules the owner requests and talk through any concerns before booking.

Primarily grooming but also have extensive experience with walking, boarding, day care, home/vacation visits & house sits. I've been a home groomer for the past 8 years but due to allergies, need to switch modes. Over those years I regularly attended workshops & seminars to continue to educate myself & hone my craft. Including certification courses in puppy handling, senior care, proper sanitization, business compliance, skin assessment, & CPR. “Roman was Charise’s first ever Rover dog and we were really happy to have connected with her for our 5-day trip. Charise was a great sitter—she sent detailed updates about how Roman was doing with Navi and hope he was settling in while we were away. Her home is very clean and Charise is a very warm and welcoming host. Navi is just the cutest little nugget ever, and I could tell immediately Roman would feel right at home with Charise. Our big GSD is a big baby and throws a bit of a fit every time we leave, but Charise and Navi were patient with him while he warmed up to the idea of us being away—by the time we returned, he was fully integrated into their little family. Roman is allowed on the couch and bed for cuddles, and Charise has a full basement for the dogs to run around and play, a small yard, and she takes them together on long walks. Roman came home fully pooped from a week of playing with Navi and we’ll definitely be using Charise in the future!”

About: I have a degree in veterinary assistant, and I also ran my own dog-walking business for 10 years before 2020 hit. After 2020, I started taking my clients' dogs into my house when they went on vacation. I have loved animals my whole life. I do have a Bird that is 15 years old. I have two boys, ages 5 and 9. My oldest son has autism and loves every dog that comes into our house. My youngest loves to spoil the dogs that come to the house. I only take one dog family at a time, so you know that your dog will be taken good care of and have all the love. I am a stay-at-home mom. I am home all the time. I take the kids to school and pick them up. I will be with them the Whole time they are here. I go for walks with the dogs three times a day, sometimes more if they need to go outside. I do live in a house with a basement, so they have free roam of the house. They have plenty of room to roam around.
“This was my first time using Rover, and Samantha was utterly amazing caring for my dog, Guru, who was recently adopted from a shelter. Guru is very social, and her dogs got along wonderfully with him. Since Guru and I are still getting to know one another, it was so comforting to receive regular text, photo, and video updates on how he was doing.
