“Elizabeth is just great with my pups! She is truly an animal lover and puts her heart into caring for my dogs when she’s here. She is willing to go above and beyond to assure my dogs are well cared for and happy while she’s here, sending pictures and videos of my dogs so I know what they’re up to while I’m away. I am so grateful to have found Elizabeth!”

About: I have experience dog sitting for more than 8 years. I have experience working with companion animals in veterinary clinics as a vet assistant and am currently a veterinary student at the Long Island university. I am currently not working as I am a student so I will have plenty of time to play with your pets after class which will end before noon on most days. I would make sure to care for your pets as if they were my own by closely sticking to their normal routines and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I am respectful to client’s home and always provide updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you are away.
“Jessica was wonderful! We were gone for a week and nervous about our boys being left alone. She sent 10 pictures each drop in, and went above and beyond. The day we lost power while we were away, she came over and made sure they were ok. Thank you so much Jessica!”

“What a pleasure to work with Beatrice. She was very responsive, attentive, and a relief to hear from. She knew exactly how to approach our cat and did all the right things to help gain trust. I would trust Beatrice with our pet any day and will consider her services again when we travel. I look forward to recommending her to others as well. Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve always had a love for animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, hamsters, turtles, and other pets, and I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and little quirks. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, letting pets out, and simply giving them some extra love and attention while their family is away. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s normal routine and any specific instructions you leave for me. I currently care for pets as part of my regular work with a family, so I understand how important it is to know that your animals are safe and well cared for when you can’t be there. I also have experience administering medications and providing IV fluids to cats who require extra care. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and plenty of attention. Whether your pet is energetic and wants to play, loves a good walk, or just wants some company and cuddles, I’m happy to meet them where they are. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable knowing your pets are in caring, dependable hands while you’re away. 🐾❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m available during the day and in the evenings for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and giving pets the attention and care they need. I’m happy to work around each pet’s individual schedule and keep their routine as consistent as possible while their family is away. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and I’m dependable, attentive, and happy to give each pet the time and care they deserve. I’m available for evening visits, but I do not offer overnight stays. I care for pets in their own home by following their normal routines and the safety guidelines provided by their family. I make sure dogs are securely leashed and supervised, gates and doors are safely closed, and crates are used when they are part of the pet’s routine. For cats and other animals, I make sure they have a safe, comfortable space and that their food, water, litter, and surroundings are kept clean. I always follow specific instructions from the owner and never leave a pet in a situation where they could get hurt or escape.
“Jordan is so sweet and attentive. He sent me updates after every visit, including several pictures! He gave my senior dog the extra TLC that she needed! He always showed up on time and was willing to go the extra mile. Would definitely recommend Jordan and will certainly be asking for him again in the future!”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was born and my first move after getting my own place was to adopt my own dog, Phoenix. Despite Phoenix’s passing, I have still stayed very active in the dog community with both fostering and dogsitting. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes and needs and am very eager to help with yours! I work remote full time, so I have a lot of extra time to take care of the dogs. I also am always out walking with my family and their dogs and taking them on different adventures. I have a decent sized inside place to play and also a fenced in backyard for dogs to run in. I try and provide as much mental and physical enrichment as possible.

“Stephanie is an absolute sweetheart! I could tell she treated Saint with so much care, as if he was her own pet. ( which I love ) I will definitely be using her again for her help in the future. Not only is Stephanie nice and friendly, but she followed all the directions I left for her. Thanks 🙏”

What a pleasure to work with Beatrice. She was very responsive, attentive, and a relief to hear from. She knew exactly how to approach our cat and did all the right things to help gain trust. I cannot recommend Tori enough! Leaving my cats for two weeks was something I was really anxious about, but she made me feel completely at ease from the very beginning. She was incredibly reliable, attentive, and caring, and I could tell my cats were genuinely comfortable and happy with her (even one of my cats who is scared of everyone, liked her!) she has such good energy and she kept me updated throughout my entire trip, which gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to actually relax and enjoy being away without constantly worrying about them. It’s such a huge relief to find someone you truly trust with your pets, especially for such a long trip. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and everything exactly as it should be. I’m so grateful for the care she gave them and will absolutely be using her again. If you’re nervous about leaving your pets, she is exactly the kind of person you want taking care of them!

Emily was wonderful with our pets! Our dog can take some time to warm up to new people, and Emily was so patient and persistent with her — by the end, you could tell she absolutely loved her. She kept us updated throughout the whole stay with photos and messages, which gave us total peace of mind. It was clear from the pictures that both our pets were happy, comfortable, and having a great time playing with her. We'll definitely be booking Emily again!

On time - each time , a very thoughtful young lady. She manages to love and receive respect from our macho Beagle and understands Snoopy a large foxhound with a a dark whom is a flight risk, very timid most of the time. We will utilize her services until she's not available anymore!

Talia is warm, attentive, timely, and a big animal lover. Our stubborn, and often aloof, shiba warmed right up to her, which is a major win in our books. And our very shy cat immediately came out of his cave to let her give him pets. You’re in very good hands with Talia’s care!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
