“I cannot express how amazing Marissa has been!! My schedule has been insanely unpredictable and Marissa has been there for my pup throughout the whole thing. 1000000% recommend.”

About: I bring a unique blend of rural and urban pet care experience. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals—horses, dogs, cats, goats, and chickens—so caring for animals has always been second nature. That hands-on upbringing taught me responsibility, intuition, and how to understand animals' needs. For the past five years, I’ve raised my Australian Shepherd in an urban setting, giving me experience with high-energy breeds, leash training, and adapting routines to busy city life. Whether it’s senior pets, puppies, or animals with big personalities, I bring calm, capable, and compassionate care rooted in a lifetime of experience. Pet care is a meaningful part of my daily routine. I start each morning with a walk or play session—it’s a great way to connect and set a positive tone for the day. Throughout the day, I build in time for feeding, potty breaks, and check-ins to ensure pets feel safe and cared for. On weekends or evenings, I prioritize longer walks, enrichment, and cuddles. Whether I’m balancing research or writing as a PhD student, I make sure pets in my care are always a top priority. Their routine becomes part of mine. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and pet-friendly environment—whether in my home or a client’s. I follow each pet’s routine closely, from feeding schedules to preferred walking routes and play styles. I take time to build trust, especially with shy or anxious pets, using patience and positive reinforcement. Safety is always top of mind: I double-check leashes and gates, avoid off-leash situations unless in fully enclosed areas, and monitor for any signs of stress or discomfort. I also provide regular updates to give pet parents peace of mind. My goal is to make every pet feel at home, secure, and loved.

“Cara did an awesome job with my pup! She was super responsive and enthusiastic about taking my girl on a walk. I even got a sweet picture to boot. I'm very pleased - thanks, Cara!”

About: With a strong sense for dog body language and behavior, I naturally bond with dogs and know how to keep them engaged, playful, and calm. Whether it’s a high-energy pup or a senior companion, I tailor their care to suit their needs and give them a fulfilling, well-balanced day. My schedule allows me to maintain consistent routines for feeding, training, sleep, and potty breaks. I offer a variety of experiences from city parks to nature hikes, giving dogs exposure to a diverse range of settings. I also provide basic training support including crate, leash/off-leash, recall, sport-based games like fetch and frisbee, and even task-based and obedience exercises—skills I’ve developed through 10+ years of experience with dogs from puppyhood to senior stages. As a graduate student currently on summer break, my schedule is wide open—and I’ve intentionally structured my time to prioritize pet care. I’m available for care throughout the day, whether that means early-morning walks, mid-day play sessions, or overnight sitting. My flexibility allows me to tailor routines around your dog’s unique needs, whether they’re energetic and need lots of stimulation or prefer a slower, calmer pace. I spend much of my time outdoors, and I love incorporating dogs into that lifestyle—hiking scenic trails, visiting off-leash parks, or just taking long neighborhood walks. I believe dogs thrive when they experience new encounters, and I work those moments of enrichment into every week. I live in a spacious, first-floor apartment with direct access to a secure patio and a neighborhood dog park—just steps outside my door. This makes potty breaks, quick outdoor play/walks, and socialization seamless and stress-free. Every day, our neighborhood hosts friendly dog meetups with well-behaved pups, offering perfect opportunities for your dog to engage with others in a safe environment. Inside my home, dogs will find a clean, calm, and organized space with plenty of enrichment. I have a variety of toys, training tools, puzzles, and games to ensure your dog stays mentally and physically stimulated—the goal is for no boredom and anxiety. I also keep a full range of grooming and cleaning supplies on hand, so whether your dog needs a simple wipe-down or a post-adventure bath, I’ve got it covered. I am well-versed in training methods and behavior management, so if your pup has specific routines or commands, I likely already have the knowledge and equipment to maintain their structure. I’m happy to reinforce crate training, leash manners, or any custom instructions you provide to ensure consistency while you’re away. I also have a well-socialized golden retriever mix who’s incredibly calm, friendly, and trained to model great behavior for other dogs. If your dog enjoys companionship, mine makes an excellent playmate. If needed, I can crate or separate the dogs for one-on-one attention or downtime—your dog’s comfort and safety always come first.

“Drew was super communicative and awesome with our pittie mix. Will definitely use again!”

About: I was raised around dogs and have cared for them for my whole life. Since adopting my Australian Cattle Dog ten years ago, I've done it all with pet care; training, daily exercise, dietary and health concerns. Now I'm ready to show your best friend the same care, attention, and love that I show to my own! I'm currently a graduate student at St. Edward's University studying mental health counseling, so I am looking to care for pets around my academic schedule. I currently only have class on Tuesday and Wednesday and so am very flexible on any other day of the week. I bring warmth, calm, and attention to every animal that I meet, and treat everyone's home and space with the utmost respect. I will follow all instructions to the word and bring my attention to detail to your pets' unique needs.

About: We are Tsekuang and Wendy, and we are a couple that provide service together. In our free time, we like to climb indoors and outdoors. We are more than happy to take the pups out when they stay with us (only if allowed by owners). About Tsekuang (Sunny): I am an animal care professional with 15 years of pet care experience. I can provide special services including medication administration. I love playing with dogs and giving them walks when you board or book house sit with me, and I’ll make sure your pets are happy throughout the time with me. Please do note that I have a cat in the house if you would like to book a day care or boarding. About Wendy: I am a UX designer, and I work from home. I will be the main person that spends time with your pup or pups if you book a home sit service with us. I have a flexible schedule to accommodate your preferred start/ end time. Please feel free to reach out if you have any question :) ** For Wendy's old clients, she is currently moving her bookings over from her account before Rover removed her original account and added her contact here. Her contact will show up in this account very soon. Tsekuang works from an office 3.5 days a week, but Wendy has a flexible schedule and works from home. With advanced notice we can accommodate our schedule to fit your needs. We have a two-story house with a high-fenced yard. Pets are allowed in the public area, patio and yard. There is also a fenced dog park in my neighborhood.

“Jennine was wonderful! She was on time, provided cute updates and photos, and did a meet and greet ahead of time before we went on vacation. I highly recommend Jennine for any of your pet-sitting needs.”

“Kristin, you’re awesome! Thanks for taking care of our little Preston over the holidays. Kristin pays attention to the details and made sure our dog was in good hands while we were out of town. Even wiped his paws after a rainey, wet morning walk. 🐾 5/5.”

“Heather was the first dog walker I've ever hired to walk my dog Molasses. In the beginning I was pretty nervous since I didn't know how Lass would do with someone else walking her and having a new person in my apartment while I was gone. Heather was great because she offered to do a meet and great before out 1st scheduled walk to make Lass and myself feel comfortable. I'm so grateful for this meet up! Lass loves Heather and their walks. Between the super cute photos I get and the love that my dog receives, I couldn't ask for a better walker!”

“We loved Mariia taking care of our pets for the week. She fed our cat and walked the dog twice a day- was always on time, clearly communicated, and was always friendly and professional. I would trust her in my home anytime.”

About: I’ve been honored to call a tabby cat named Gata and a pit bull named Louie my best friends in this lifetime. I know how much your fur babies mean to you because I know how much mine mean to me and I will do everything I can to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness! I am experienced with other animal reactive pets and understand how these special buddies require patience, love, and understanding. Rest assured that as a social worker, I have endless patience and compassion to give to your fur babies. I look forward to becoming your pet’s newest best friend! I work full time and my schedule changes a bit but I can usually accommodate walks/drop ins before 9am and after 7pm. Afternoon walks/drop ins can be accommodated, we'll just need to discuss the best time for them. Because my schedule is a bit more unique, I'm big on communication and am open to discuss in advance any scheduling preferences. I am only offering drop in and walking services at the moment so I can give your pups and kitties some direct love, play, and attention in the comfort of their own home and environment.

About: The best pet care for the best pets — YOURS. I provide everything from walks to drop ins to transportation. I’ve got a wealth of experience from kittens and puppies to seniors, including medically fragile or special needs pets. I am proud to carry supplemental pet sitting/boarding/walking insurance via Pet Sitter’s Associates. This above and beyond any coverage provided via Rover. Rover also offers a discount code for 1st time bookings that I encourage you to use, whether you book with me or with another provider. Looking over my profile, you will see that I am a Star Sitter with reviews that speak for themselves. I offer a comprehensive, “white glove,” pet care experience that provides an alternative to kenneled boarding. As such, my rates are a direct reflection of multiple factors, including my reputation, experience, supplemental insurance, professionalism, and the premium service I provide. There are a multitude of wonderful providers for most budgets on Rover; if you find my rates are more than what you have budgeted for, I encourage you to research any number of caring providers that are closer to what you have planned to invest in pet care. I work from home. In addition to a fenced backyard, my subdivision offers 2 dog parks. Prefer your house or park? I can do that as well! I keep things tidy! From picking up droppings to scooping boxes, it’s doo-doo-able (see what I did there?). I leave your house as you want it — just let me know. My home is secure with a high fence for the yard.

About: I’ve been a dog owner for the last 25 years of my life. I just love how every pet has its own personality and how you connect on different levels with them. I treat every animal like my own, with patience, play and lots of belly rubs! I’m a homemaker so I have plenty of time especially in the mornings when my daughter is at school; and since I just have one kid and one dog I’m very available I have a fence yard in my house and a dog park in my neighborhood as well as a dog park just across the street

“I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my furry friend to Chance. From the outset, Chance displayed a remarkable level of dedication and professionalism. What truly set Chance apart was his initiative in arranging a pre-walk meeting with both me and my dog. This allowed for a seamless transition on the scheduled day, as Chance already had a good understanding of my dog's needs and preferences. During the walk, Chance went above and beyond by sending regular photo and video updates. These thoughtful gestures not only reassured me of my dog's well-being but also demonstrated Chance's genuine care and attention to detail. I can confidently say that Chance is an outstanding dog walker who genuinely loves what he does. His commitment to providing top-notch care and keeping both pets and owners happy makes him a true gem in the world of dog walking. I highly recommend Chance to anyone seeking a reliable and compassionate caregiver for their furry companions.”

My first dog was at 10 years old and over time had the honor of loving and taking care of our family dogs as 1 became 3, as well as my horse. Since then I have worked with a private dog trainer after getting my first service dog and have continued that training, working with my new service dog. All info was clear up front, Was cordial to me and friendly with my dog, asked the right questions before I left, she stayed in constant communication and sent several pictures, she figured things out when issues arose (and notified me immediately). Upon pick up, my dog was so happy he didn’t want to leave (lol!). This was my biggest metric for a successful stay. I was very satisfied. She has the full playbook down. 5 stars.
