From the moment they took her in, they made Lucy part of their family. Not to mention, she found a new best friend in their German Shepherd, Sadie. Every single day, I received photos and videos of them playing nonstop. It was incredibly heartwarming, and I couldn’t have been happier knowing Lucy was in such loving and capable hands. Just to put things in perspective, Shalyn, Joe, and family are about a 40 minute drive from our home, but they will always be our go to whenever we need care for Lucy. I broke my tibia and fibula back in July and it’s been hard handling an 100+ pound German Shepherd so I was nervous about leaving him with other people, but I was so wrong. In these few days Jill has helped him calm down and just slow down in general. I was able to walk him for the first time in 6 months because of her. It’s like I have a new dog, I cried lol. I can’t believe how above and beyond she went. Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Union home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Union.

You and your Union sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
