“We couldn’t have found a better person to leave our 1 yr. Old Goldendoodle with during our first time away from him for 9 days. Caroline always sent daily videos several times a day. She interacts with the dogs in her care and you can see how well they are taken care of by her. She has the perfect set up in her home and yard. She and her husband make a great team. We missed our pup so much and it was nice to have reassurance and see for ourselves how he was doing good in the videos. He was having so much fun we were equally sad and happy when we picked him up. He will definitely be back. We can’t thank Caroline enough for her obvious love and care she has for canines. ❤️”

“I cannot say enough good things about Cody and Byron! Finn loved it there and had such a good time. He looked great when we picked him up. Cody and Byron sent us many updates, pictures and videos, which were so nice to see. I highly recommend.”

“Catherine was amazing taking care of our Chewie, very communicative and caring and give us a lots of pictures/updates, and he looks always so well. I'll sure will book her again in the future.”
About: I am very well versed in dog care, dog body language, and dog introductions. We have 5.5 acres for dogs to run and I have three who are very wonderful playmates for my guests and fosters. I have a very flexible schedule for dog and cat care! I am a stay at home mother of three school aged kiddos here in Dexter I will treat your animals like my own animals, with love and care, and an emphasis on exercise, play and fun for them as well!
“Marija and her family are great! My coco loco had a blast. Probably shed a few pounds too, since he had a fun crew coming and going. I am so pleased with her attentiveness to keep us updated and in the know how of who he was running with. He was in good hands! Thanks again, Marija! This helped us knowing he’d enjoy himself away from home! Doggie vacation for sure😁”

“Andrew took great care of my two dogs during a long weekend trip I took. I’m immensely grateful. I got update photos and prompt communication about my pups the whole time. Thanks Andrew!”

“I can’t say enough about Kelsey and Kyle. Fantastic people, loved on my dog the whole time. Scout slept with their kids even❤️ we will absolutely be reaching out in the future”

“Ziggy loves boarding with Mandy 😊 She sends daily pics and updates, which is so relieving and it’s nice to see him enjoying his stay while I’m away. She is flexible, responsive, and takes great care of Ziggy. Thanks Mandy!”

“Just picked up our Sammy spaniel and Luna doodle after they spent 5 nights at Holly's, and indeed we could see the dogs loved her and the family who are all very kind and loving. Holly is VERY dog-intuitive, a caregiving person, who also has a lovely home in a country setting. Highly recommend!!”

“Ariana and Yogi are perfect for boarding my Pfeifer. The three of them always look like they are having such a good time. Yogi and Pfeifer must run and jump all day as Pfeifer slept the entire 2+ hour ride home. Photos are shared throughout the stay. Excellent companionship and human attention in a glorious fenced in yard. First choice for Ann Arbor boarding needs.”

“Christine is awesome! She’s a young mom who has dogs and takes what she does seriously. That means great communication, letting me know what’s going on with the doggo when I’m away through pics, video and text, and reliability. I feel safe when she’s watching my pet!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and experienced dog owner who understands how important it is to have someone dependable caring for your pet. I currently have my own active Dalmatian, so daily walks, exercise, routines, and plenty of attention are already a big part of my life. I’ve also started building recurring Rover relationships and have experience with regular weekday walks and drop-in care. I’m comfortable following specific routines, handling energetic dogs, and adjusting walks or visits based on each dog’s personality and needs. I’m reliable, active, communicative, and treat every dog like I’d want someone to treat my own. I’m especially happy to work with repeat clients and become a familiar, trusted part of your dog’s routine. I work from home and would love to give my dalmatian, Bennie Mae, a walk with a new friend! Also, my schedule is very flexible. We have a dog-proof home with plenty of space to run and play. Nearby park with room to roam outside. Wonderful neighborhood to go on walks.
“I feel like we hit the jackpot with Bill and Sandy! This was our first time leaving our dog with someone other than family and he is almost 8. We picked them because they only take 1 dog at a time, they charged the same amount as it would be to board in a kennel, but he got the 1 on 1 love and attention from them and in the comfort of their beautiful home. It was just like going to grandma grandpa's house! We did a meet and greet the day before and my dog seem comfortable with them from the moment we walked in. They knew all the right things to look for- his energy level, his appetite, his body language. They sent updates every single day and included several pictures too. We were seriously so happy and pleased with how well they cared for our dog. It was not easy leaving him but it was so reassuring to know how well he was being taken care of. I would recommend Bill and Sandy to anyone! We got so lucky to pick them on our first time using Rover and I wouldn't use anyone else besides them going forward!”

“My dog Leo seemed to have a great time with Michael! Michael was communicative, friendly, and easy to schedule with. His house was tidy and the yard looked like a good place for the dogs to run around. Would definitely book with him again!”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life. I grew up on a dairy goat farm. All sorts of dogs, horses, cats, cows, goats, etc. I have had Chihuahuas all the way through German Shepherds. Puppy age all the way through their whole lives. I am the biggest animal (especially dog) lover! I love meeting new personalities. I would spend 24/7 lounging around with my dogs & cats if I could!🩷 I currently have a 16 year old Minature Schnauzer, and an under 1 year old Goldendoodle. My old girl currently takes quite a few medications and likes her alone time. My little man loves to play, be active, and requires hands on often. Therefore, I work with a spectrum of needs. I will make sure your baby has all the play time (or alone/rest time) they need!🩷 I am a professional MMA fighter & bar tend on the weekends! Most of my job consists of being at the gym just a couple hours at a time. And I live 5 minutes away from where I train! It makes spending time with & caring for pets easy and frequent. I only bar tend two days on the weekend (and my boyfriend is home most of that time too 😁 ) Home visits 🏡: In my client’s homes, I can easily care for your pets however you need. I will play games with your furry friends, lounge around with them, etc. I am a very active person & love taking long walks myself, so I would love to do that with your dog if you’d like! I am a reliable, very detail oriented gal. Whatever instructions you leave, I’ll get them done. I love when my clients can come back to a clean, comfortable space after caring for their fur babies. Boarding 🐶: I have a fenced in back yard on a quieter side street. We have an older Miniature Schnauzer, under 1 year old Goldendoodle, and two gentle, quiet cats that lounge around (pretty much keeping to themselves) 🩷 I have plenty of space in my living area to have the zoomies. I have a spare room to give your pet some rest and seclusion too! That means I also have ample room to crate your doggie, if needed. We would love to have your best friend come hang with us 🙂

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Unadilla home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Unadilla.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Unadilla sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
