About: I've loved animals my whole life. I grew up with my west highland white terrier sister and a menagerie of other pets. Seeing and spending time with animals is 100% my happy place. My parents have always had Westies who I have looked after and walked on many occasions. When they had a pair of Westies it was definitely challenging when walking them (the dogs, not my parents). One trick was when one of them would distract you whilst the other one rolled in horse or fox poo and when they were on their double lead they were masters of going opposite sides of obstacles and getting stuck! I've also had plenty of experience looking after friends' pets. Most recently I've looked after my best friend's German Shepherd, Sheltie and Siberian cat. I'm honestly not sure who enjoyed it most – me or them. My friends said I spent more time playing with their pets and fussing them than they normally do. Whilst I was between jobs a few years ago I also did doggy walking for Animal Lifeline. It was hard seeing them in the shelter but nice to be able to take them out of their cages and I certainly got plenty of experience picking up poos. I've recently had a change in circumstances and I am now trying to turn my hobby into a living as an artist/crafter specialising in pet portraits and wildlife. I'm often at the Makers Market in Trentham and I love it because I get to steal lots of fusses from the dogs that walk past. It's also made me realise that those little moments of fuss were just not enough for me. Joining Rover gives me even more of what I love – sharing my time with animals. I think it's fair to say I'm better with dogs than people. As a self employed artist my schedule is very flexible. I need several hours per day to work on my art but the timing of that is completely within my control. My priority making sure your fur babies are happy, safe and secure. I will take your lead regarding existing any routines they have and am happy to meet and greet with you beforehand to ensure your comfort in trusting me.

I’ll always do my best to be flexible and communicate clearly in advance.) For the comfort and wellbeing of your pet, I offer pet sitting and care visits in your home rather than mine. This keeps your pet in a familiar environment and reduces stress, especially for cats and other home loving pets. I’m more than happy to do drop in visits, feeding, walking and giving them company in their own space. I am just unavailable to provide care in my home at this time.

About: Hey, my name is Leigh, I don’t know why it won’t let me change it haha. My experience is through owning dogs of my own and growing up caring for my family dogs, however, what I lack in professional experience I make up for in love and care for animals and owners. I am flexible as I work from home, I am punctual and reliable, I am honest and caring, and most importantly I am a sucker for cute animals! I work from home and my shifts change every week so I am flexible with what times I can offer, I have my own dog and have grown up with dogs so am experienced in that manner. I have a completely enclosed, fenced back garden and a pet of my own to keep your fur baby company. I have a cage if needed but I try not to use it, and laminate floors incase of any accidents!

About: We have our own cocker spaniel dog who is 2 and is our entire world! Finding someone outside of family to care for him was a huge deal for us and so we decided we would be the perfect fit for other dog owners to allow them to feel completely at ease leaving their dog in our home where you know they will be loved and taken care of as though they are our own!🐾 We both work full time but one of us is always home to care for our boy Ralph so this would be the case for your pet too! We have a fairly sized garden which is fenced all the way round with a 6 foot fence, perfectly dog safe and friendly for your pet!

About: I am a final year veterinary student that loves animals. Animals are a big part of of my life and I strive to advocate for their wellbeing and welfare in all aspects. I have had years of experience working with animals both in clinical and non-clinical settings. I am a university student however I would be free on lunch breaks and weekends to do any calls/care. I also drive so brief calls if needed wouldn’t be a problem. I also have a large car so any destination walks won’t be an issue. I do at later dates have the odd night shift at a veterinary practice but I will always ensure that these can be worked around if needed. Whatever the service required I will make sure that the dog/cat is content and has everything they need including exercise, feed/water provision and any medications if needed.

About: Ive been brought up with dogs my whole life when they are in my care they will be my number 1 priority no job is too big and got lots of love to give Im available any time any day i have a very flexible schedule which can accomdate yourselfs and also accomodate myself i also take same day bookings I have fenced garden your pets are welcome to sit on my furniture they will have free roam of the house and garden anytime they wish and plenty of walks

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was very young. I have 2 dogs currently (staffy and husky cross collie) and I take them on multiple walks daily. I also trained them from when they were puppies. As well as that, I used to pet sit my families golden retriever puppies. I also have 2 cats and I know my way around them. I am currently working full time, however I am available Mondays and Tuesdays at any time. My schedule changes every week but your dogs will get the exercise they require. I won’t be able to take your dogs into my home, due to not having sufficient space in the house or garden. However, I will be able to take them for long walks.

About: What sets me apart is my mix of experience, qualifications and genuine love for animals. I have a Level 3 qualification in Animal Management and a BSc in Animal Science, so I understand animal behaviour and welfare on a deeper level. I’ve worked with all sorts of pets, from bouncy puppies to older dogs who need a gentler approach. I’m confident with different temperaments, happy to stick to routines, and comfortable supporting pets with extra needs like medication or mobility issues. I always aim to make animals feel safe, relaxed and well looked after, whether I’m popping in for a quick visit or staying overnight. Your pets will be treated like family every time. Caring for animals is a regular part of my life. I plan my days around visits, walks and check-ins, so each pet gets my full attention and plenty of time. About: I have over 15 years experience with pets, some more fancy then the rest, (e.g rabbits, geckos, a hedgehog, etc), most of those years were with my rescued house cats and three dogs, but also helping family and friends. I work part-time, but I am free most days so I have more then enough time to devote it to your pets. I do ask for at least three days notice before I home sit, but that is strictly for me to come and meet your pet and see if they are comfortable with me, because I think nothing is more important than your peace of mind and your pets comfort. Being away from you is stressful enough for them, so I only want to provide comfort and care. I do not provide boarding for pets, but I am more than happy to sit, day, night or both. I am more than happy to curate my time to you and your pets. I would ask for written instructions on your pets care, including; meal times, walking schedules, night-time routines, medical care (if applicable and/or in case of an emergency). I want assure you that your pets care and safety is my top priority.
