“Firstly, I was nervous at leaving my dog with anyone. However, I am so glad I did! Lydia was without a doubt outstanding! I received an update on how my dog was getting on. He loved his experience and I have rebooked already!”

About: Hello, my name is Alice and I have a strong passion for all things animals. Whether it be as big as horses or livestock or as small as cats and everything in between. I have been around animals my whole life and owned my own animals for 22+ years. I have 2 horses and a cat who are my absolute world, my cat lives with my horses on the farm. But in the past I have also owned 2 dogs. Although I now don’t have a dog of my own, I have looked after and fostered multiple dogs over many years and have also volunteered at veterinary practices too, both small animal and equine. If any of my friends or friends of the family need their dogs looking after, they always come to me. If you’re anything like me, your animals are like your world and any animals I look after would be treated no differently. I have a full driving license and own my own car so location, whether it be down country lanes or not accessible by public transport would be no issue for me to reach. Not only am I a pet sitter on Rover, I also offer services separate to on here for people who prefer to communicate on text/whatsapp or pay via bank transfer/cash. I’m happy to meet you in advance to see if you think I’d be the right fit for you and your animals needs. I work part time during the week and occasional evening or weekend but I work remotely so can work from your house if I’m house sitting as long as there’s good working wifi, no need for your animals to be left on their own all day. If your dog comes to stay at my house, I have a fully fenced large garden and spacious house, I would treat your animal like I would treat my own, with the upmost care and love. If I look after your animals in your home, it would no different, I am a very tidy individual and your house would be left neat and tidy.

“Stanley enjoyed seeing Sue & Mark again, he really does enjoy visiting! He has so much fun & loves playing with Mark in the garden, with his toys! Mark & Sue are such lovely people who we 100% trust to look after & care for Stanley!!! Thanks to you both xx”

About: I’ve been qualifying in animal care for some time and have now completed various qualifications in animal care ranging from animal cpr, nutrition to kennel and boarding. I have all the time your dog needs to make sure their time at my home will be as comfortable and as fun as possible. I have some lovely fields and woods near my home that we will go to leaving plenty of time for catch and sofa naps. I work from home in book keeping and accounts as my main job, which means apart from working on a laptop and taking few calls I’m always available for a cuddle, ear scratch and a game of fetch. I have a good size and kept garden with a 7 ft brick wall and a 6 ft fence the opposite side so all dogs will be free to roam, along with french doors leading into garden so nosey animals can always be peering out of. my home is open to wonder about to whichever animal I would be looking after.

About: Registered RVN (1+ years) with a genuine love and passion for animal care. I have worked in many practices such as charity, hospital and first opinion, and have loved looking after all kinds of animals, from cats and dogs to rabbits and so much more. I’ve always gad animals in the family, being surrounded by them and caring for them comes as second nature to me :) Pet care is my life! I go to work every day to provide my absolute best care possible to sick animals and i go back home to my animals and show them just as much love. It’s what i know best! I am very confident around animals, i am happy to adapt to whatever situation is best for your pet in your home. Whether that is medications, specific feeding habits, walking routes, garden times etc.

About: I took the main care role for the family dog from my late teens and still help out when my parents need. Love to look after any dog in need of love and attention I have a fairly flexible work schedule with part time study. I will have my 6 year old son with me, he is a calm quiet loving little boy, I will have to have him with me on house sits so all dogs must be child friendly. There's a communal garden outside my block of flats where dogs are welcome on lead. There's plenty of field and park spaces nearby for walks and running around.

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and small animals. My responsibilities have included daily feeding, administering medication, walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments, cleaning litter trays and cages, and providing plenty of play, cuddles, and companionship to keep pets happy while their owners are away. Pet care is a natural and important part of my daily routine. Whether I’m feeding, walking, or spending quality time with animals, I always make time each day to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and well looked after. I plan my schedule around their needs—morning and evening walks, feeding times, play sessions, and any specific routines the pet is used to. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow the owner’s instructions closely to maintain the pet’s usual routine. I make sure they are fed on time, walked regularly, and given lots of attention and play. I keep their environment clean and comfortable by refreshing water bowls, cleaning litter trays or outdoor areas, and tidying up after any mess. I also send regular updates and photos to reassure the owner while they’re away. I respect the home as if it were my own—secure, tidy, and with the pet’s comfort as the top priority.

“Matteo is very responsive with messages and is very willing to fit in flexibly around requests. We were very grateful for him being available last minute, too, to help us out. Our girls seem to be very happy and relaxed around him and were left back at home as instructed. I’d be very happy to use him again. Thanks again”

About: I have a very energetic dog myself called Ruby who loves all the attention and loves to explore. I take responsibility for feeding her, taking her on walks, making sure she is clean and giving her all the belly rubs she wants. She's not a massive fan of toys, instead she prefers to play with me by laying down on the sofa and running back and forth while I do the same :) Growing up my family all trusted me with our furry friends. I have cared for small dogs such as an elderly pug, who was more of a relaxed dog and just preferred some 1 to 1 cuddles bless her <3, a Frenchie puppy who is very energetic so loves running around and jumping on you, and larger dogs such as an adult chow chow, who also was more of a cuddle dog than a playful dog, but would have a little play when she felt like it. I've had experience caring for all sizes and types of dogs with completely different personalities, so no matter the dog I will sit them with as much love and care as you <3. I'm currently a college student, however I will only be in 3 days a week so I have plenty of time throughout the week to look after your furry friends, keeping them happy and giving them plenty of love <3 I have a dog myself who I walk when I get home from college and she gets plenty of time to run around and get plenty of exercise, so time is not an issue for me, I can do evenings too if needed :) I have a back garden which my dog loves to go in and a gate on the drive so she can leave the house without being in any danger. I know that different owners have different ways that they keep their dog safe, so when pet sitting I will make sure that your dog is safe at all times, following the same routine your pup is used to, I will also make the atmosphere as friendly as possible to ensure your best friend is happy ☺️

Alice C.
“Alice is my partner's sister and a close friend, and I have known her for several years. Throughout this time, she has consistently demonstrated responsibility, reliability, and a strong sense of care for animals. She has extensive experience caring for animals, making her an excellent choice for any home that includes pets. She owns two horses, which she diligently looks after with great dedication and love. Her experience in caring for large animals speaks to her patience, attentiveness, and ability to manage responsibilities effectively. Her deep love for animals extends beyond her own, as she has always shown a soft spot for all creatures, ensuring their comfort and well-being. In addition to her experience with animals, Alice is also a responsible and trustworthy caregiver. She has babysat my daughter, her niece, on multiple occasions, and her kindness and attentiveness have always reassured me that my child is in safe hands. Moreover, Alice is a tidy and well-organised individual who respects the spaces she occupies. I do not doubt that she would treat any home with the utmost care and responsibility, ensuring it is well looked after in the homeowner's absence. I wholeheartedly recommend Alice as a house sitter. Her reliability, experience with animals, and caring nature make her an ideal candidate.”

“Charlotte has looked after my 2 cats on multiple occasions. Each and every time they are well looked after and cared for to a very high standard. They are fed as instructed and given plenty of fresh water daily. Charlotte is a clean and thoughtful pet sitter who takes care of the litter tray when we have been away for longer period. My cats are particularly anxious when left alone, however when leaving them in the care of Charlotte, I know they will be well looked after. Charlotte sends regular photo's of them, and spends time with them giving cuddles and fusses and playing with them to make sure they are relaxed and comfortable. I would recommend Charlotte as a pet sitter, any pets left in her care would be very lucky.”
