“Highly recommend! My first time using a service like this but it was excellent! Blue was wonderful with my dog, updates and pictures put my mind at ease. Will definitely book with her again!”

About: Hello! I was proud owner of an adorable greyhound named Dixie who was a retired racer. I also just had to put down our 11 year old Golden Retriever Lab mix dog. We used to go for walks and play in our backyard. Sine greyhound have horrible teeth we had brush her teeth. We also had to occasionally give both our dogs medication orally. Before Dixie and Lucy came into my life I grow up with a cocker spaniel and Pomeranian poodle mix. I learned how to care for them at a young age which is where my love for dogs started. Animals are truly important members of the family and are like another child to us. As we are not ready to add another dog of our own to our family we would love to care for yours now. I believe all animals should have a safe home to live with a caring family. I am available all day during the week at my house as I work from home and am available most weekends. I cannot wait to share my passion for dogs by helping you care for yours! I am a 100% remote worker, so I am home pretty much all day. With the exception of a quick drop off and pick up from daycare for our 3 year old. We have a fully fenced in yard with lots of room for your pup to run around. We can also crate your dog if they are crate trained and give medicine you provide if needed.
“Sierra was amazing with our two kittens for drop in visits while we were gone! She went above and beyond to play with them and provide the best photos (seriously, pet photography could be her side gig!). She was very communicative, respectful, and punctual. She even went above and beyond to pull our trash cans back from the road and clean up our mail where a car had hit our mailbox. Such a gem of a human and we will always book with Sierra anytime we’re out of town!”

“Stephanie is fantastic! This is our second time having her come watch our pet and she has been phenomenal. She really takes the anxiety out of going away/travel with her detailed communication and obvious love and care for our pets.”

“Rachael was awesome! She was very conscientious and polite, but most importantly, she knew just how to make our cat feel comfortable and cared for while we were away. We will definitely have her back next time.”

“Kelsey was wonderful with my 7r old cat! He's usually very wary of new people, but he was hanging out with her and cuddling within days. She gave the perfect amount of communication and photos, with detailed updates and response times. You can tell she loves animals and does her best to make them comfortable. 100% satisfied.”

“Kenna was absolutely amazing!! She was very attentive when caring for our elderly dog. She communicated with us and made it so easy for us to leave our pet. Thank you, Kenna! We will be calling on you again soon!”

“Would absolutely use Zoe again! Our Titus loves her!!! Didn’t take Zoe long to become fast friends with him and make him feel loved and happy in our absence. She was wonderful about sending sweet pictures during every check in. Much appreciated!”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life. I grew up with cats and dogs. When I married at 19, we bought a pure bred dog and I adopted an orphaned kitten. Friends have had me dog-sit over the years and I am always well-liked by the animals I meet. It’s a privilege to help you care for your furry family member(s). My work schedule is flexible and allows me lots of time to coordinate with your needs for pet care. Let’s chat and see what we can figure out for your pet’s care needs! Caring for your pet (and your home) is privilege. I follow any and all instruction you have and leave your home sparkling clean when I leave.
“My cats were well taken care of and our friendly boy warmed up to Jasen quickly based on the photos we got. We booked kind of last minute during busy holiday times, but Jasen responded quickly and had no problem with the instructions I left him. He even brought in a heavy box of food and litter that came after we left due to holiday delays. We’ll definitely look at booking him again for future travel plans!”

“Emma was fantastic to work with and watching our cats. She was super thoughtful and even took care of bringing in our packages while we were gone over the holidays. Would highly recommend!”

About: I started caring for pets in school by looking after classmates pets and later helping neighbors. I’ve been around animals my whole life and currently have four French Bulldogs who are like my sons. I love treating pets as family, celebrating their lives, and including them in my daily routine whenever possible. I have experience with both puppies and senior pets. I am patient, reliable, and attentive, and I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. I am currently on vacation, which allows me to have a flexible schedule to play with, walk, and fully care for your pet. I am available from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, both weekdays and weekends. I provide reliable and attentive care in the client’s home. I always follow instructions carefully, respect the home, and ensure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I give them exercise, attention, and affection to keep them happy and relaxed.
About: I have a natural passion for animals and their well being. Even though this is my first time doing this for work, I have gotten my experience from my own dogs. I work from home. I have 2 roommates and the house is very quiet. My job is not very demanding and have tons of free time. I am very good at following instructions and communicating. I think as long as everything is clear, the job should be done safely and smoothly.

About: I worked at a boarding facility for 4½ years, where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I supervised group play, giving me a strong understanding of dog body language and behavior, and I also cared for dogs by feeding them and maintaining clean, comfortable spaces. In addition, I’m a certified dog bather, so bathing services are available if needed. I’ve also been house sitting and caring for dogs for many years, and I truly enjoy getting to know every pet I meet. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members!🫶🏼 I currently have a flexible schedule with open availability for overnight house sitting for both dogs and cats, dog walking, and drop-in visits. I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care and keeping your pets happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away I make sure every pet gets the care and attention they deserve. Dogs enjoy plenty of exercise, outdoor time, play, and lots of love, while cats receive patient, attentive care in the comfort of their own home. Whether I’m walking your dog, staying overnight, or caring for your cat, my goal is to keep your pets happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away
“Katrina was phenomenal! She understands of behavior and made sure she understood the chemistry of both dogs! She ensured she met them prior to the first drop-in visit and spent that time learning what she needed to. I had peace of mind knowing my babies were in her care!”

About: With a decade of experience working with dogs, I am well-versed in providing exceptional care and attention. Being home 90% of the day has made me the most reliable caregiver in my circle for pets. No pet is "too much to handle" for me. I have two dogs of my own who are my world, so welcoming additional pets temporarily is never an issue. I look forward to meeting your fur babies and creating lasting memories with them. Thank you in advance! My daily routine revolves around caring for my two dogs, keeping me busy with exercise and attention. However, there is always plenty of attention to go around. As an outdoor enthusiast, I ensure daily walks are part of our routine. My property features a secure fenced area and a variety of engaging activities to keep your dogs entertained and happy. Your pets will be under my constant supervision. All pets boarded overnight will be crated in a secure indoor room. For animal-reactive pets, I ensure separate walks and isolation from other animals to maintain a safe environment for all.

We love Rachael! She takes such good care of our kitties and goes the extra mile doing stuff like vacuuming up excess litter without being asked. We also love the batch of photos she sends from every visit! Very responsive too and communicates about anything going on that we might need to know about. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
