“Highly recommend! My first time using a service like this but it was excellent! Blue was wonderful with my dog, updates and pictures put my mind at ease. Will definitely book with her again!”

About: Hello! I was proud owner of an adorable greyhound named Dixie who was a retired racer. I also just had to put down our 11 year old Golden Retriever Lab mix dog. We used to go for walks and play in our backyard. Sine greyhound have horrible teeth we had brush her teeth. We also had to occasionally give both our dogs medication orally. Before Dixie and Lucy came into my life I grow up with a cocker spaniel and Pomeranian poodle mix. I learned how to care for them at a young age which is where my love for dogs started. Animals are truly important members of the family and are like another child to us. As we are not ready to add another dog of our own to our family we would love to care for yours now. I believe all animals should have a safe home to live with a caring family. I am available all day during the week at my house as I work from home and am available most weekends. I cannot wait to share my passion for dogs by helping you care for yours! I am a 100% remote worker, so I am home pretty much all day. With the exception of a quick drop off and pick up from daycare for our 3 year old. We have a fully fenced in yard with lots of room for your pup to run around. We can also crate your dog if they are crate trained and give medicine you provide if needed.
“Sierra was amazing with our two kittens for drop in visits while we were gone! She went above and beyond to play with them and provide the best photos (seriously, pet photography could be her side gig!). She was very communicative, respectful, and punctual. She even went above and beyond to pull our trash cans back from the road and clean up our mail where a car had hit our mailbox. Such a gem of a human and we will always book with Sierra anytime we’re out of town!”

“We have used Kelsey twice now. She is always on time, great communicator, lots of pics of fur baby. Also, she will go out of her way with “ no-Rover” request. We highly recommend her.”

“Zoe took great care of our small senior dog. We felt so comfortable knowing our fur baby was comfortable in her own bed and being looked after by a kind person. Highly recommend Zoe!”

“Kenna was absolutely amazing!! She was very attentive when caring for our elderly dog. She communicated with us and made it so easy for us to leave our pet. Thank you, Kenna! We will be calling on you again soon!”

We love Rachael! She takes such good care of our kitties and goes the extra mile doing stuff like vacuuming up excess litter without being asked. We also love the batch of photos she sends from every visit! Very responsive too and communicates about anything going on that we might need to know about. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
