“Very good dog sitter. Did really good with our big dogs. Very communicative and really cares about them. Very trust worthy. We did not have to worry about her during our time away from home.”

“Miranda takes wonderful care of our dogs, she arrives when she is scheduled to arrive and spends extra time with them. We will use Miranda each time we need a pet sitter as long as she is available. We highly recommend Miranda.”

“Anna is AMAZING! Our family of five lucked up on the opportunity for a week-long vacation. However, we were nervous about boarding our anxious kitty. I’m so thankful that Anna was available to check in on Calypso. She made sure he had food and kept his potty place clean. She even brought special treats and catnip toys for him! We were able to relax and enjoy our time away without being worried about our kitty. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, care, and precious time with us. You’re the best!”

“I really enjoyed working with JaNiya this past week as she performed drop in visits for our cat, Mae-C. Mae-C has a new friend now and the two of them played together and enjoyed an hour long visit each day interacting with treats, games, grooming and music. JaNiya also helped with a few light chores around the house like checking the mail and watering the plants. She was also very accommodating and our cat just loves her. We have two more trips before the end of the year and we will definitely check her availability. JaNiya, we really appreciate you. Thanks so much.”

“Our pup loves his drop-ins with Joslynne! She’s so sweet and patient with him, especially when first meeting, since he can be shy and cautious. We’ve booked with her multiple times now, she’s our go to sitter! He always has a great experience 😊”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life! I have dog sat for multiple people whenever I was needed. I will walk and feed your pets and make sure they are taken care of when you can’t be there! My Services: 30 min dog walk: A nice stroll around your neighborhood or a nearby trail! Your pup need some good exercise and stimulation while you’re gone? I can help! 30 min drop in: Includes potty breaks, meals, play-time and of course plenty of snuggles! I work full-time with early hours (5 AM–1 PM), so I’m fully available most afternoons during the week. I’m currently in a master’s program in Mental Health Counseling at UTC, and I have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, so my availability may vary slightly on those days. I also have a dog, Autumn, who loves being outside and going to the park. If your dog is pet-friendly and enjoys company, Autumn would love to join us as a playmate! Just let me know what works best for you. I live in an apartment so daycare/boarding are services I cannot offer currently. I am absolutely the right person if you need a dependable and affectionate dog-sitter or walker!
“Amber took great care of my dog Theo and sent detailed updates after every visit. We loved the photos and could tell our dog enjoyed her company while we were out of town. Thank you, Amber!”

“Kelly has watched our cat once while we were away, and we have already booked her again! She took great care of our cat, who seemed to really like her, and Kelly sent us a picture of him and good details about the visit. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve worked with dogs in a professional capacity for over a decade, including managing structured environments where consistency and temperament mattered. That experience shapes how I approach in-home care today: calm, observant, and steady. I adapt well to each home’s environment. Every household has its own rhythm, and I focus on maintaining that rhythm rather than disrupting it. I respect property, keep to designated shared spaces, and treat each home responsibly while I’m there. With animals, I prioritize patience and regulation. Dogs often mirror calm, consistent energy, and I remain relaxed and steady in my interactions. Whether maintaining feeding schedules, reinforcing expectations, or adjusting to unexpected wake-ups, I approach care with composure. I value clear expectations so I can maintain healthy boundaries and provide dependable, consistent care throughout your time away. Pet care fits naturally into my week. I maintain a consistent daily routine with flexible hours, and afternoons and evenings are open most days. Feeding, walks, and check-ins happen at reliable times so pets stay comfortable and owners know what to expect. I approach every home and animal with calm professionalism and respect. I’m attentive to boundaries, cleanliness, and consistency — whether I’m providing a single visit or longer in-home care. I don’t currently have pets of my own, which allows me to focus fully on the animals in my care. My priority is reliability: safe handling, clear communication, and a steady, grounded presence.
“Skylar has watched our cats multiple times and has always been very reliable, which I appreciate. She takes great care of the cats which makes me feel much better about leaving our kitties for vacations.”

About: I grew up with dogs, but always did the animal care for neighbors. I have given basic care to livestock (horses, cows etc.), birds, cats, and various other animals. During the summer months I'm working for fish and wildlife. Now that the season is over I am looking to make your life easier by giving the best care to your pet. Whether your leaving for work, pleasure, or family. You deserve a peace of mind that your pet will be loved and cared for. My policy is I must meet you and your pet before providing services. Everyone needs to be comfortable. Please let me know anything about the pet such as places they don't like to be pet. My cat has a routine and that's how I like to keep it. I prefer to go to clients home so their pet is more comfortable. Willing to house a small dog. I do live on the 3rd floor could be hard for an senior dog
“We’ve had Izzy check on our cat several times while we’ve been away. She is truly great, and always sends the sweetest pictures of our girl. Our AC went out while we were on vacation, Izzy went above and beyond to help however she could to make sure Lula was ok and the basement level stayed safely cool enough. Would highly recommend and will continue to use Izzy in the future!”

About: Although I don’t have any training experience with animals, I’m very experienced in loving them! We as people don’t deserve these amazing animals but I believe in trying to give them what they do deserve! I’m a teacher wanting to get a fur baby of my own! I’m hesitant because of my day to day life but i’d love to give cuddles, affection and attention to your babies especially now that it’s summer! I currently have the sweetest 3 year old silver lab! In addition, growing up i’ve always been around animals. I want your baby to feel safe and comfortable so i’m open to anything I can do to achieve that! No rules or “weird” quirks will bother me! My fur baby at home has plenty of those:)

“Kathe was absolutely wonderful while caring for my cats this past week she came every day and even added extra morning visits on two occasions which I really appreciated. She made sure they were well fed, had fresh water, and kept their litter robot clean and running perfectly. Their food, water and bathroom areas were spotless. She provided daily updates with notes and multiple pictures which gave me so much reassurance while I was away. She also took the time to do a complementary meet and greet beforehand, which made me feel even more comfortable. Most importantly, my cats loved her. She gave me complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I’m truly so grateful for her care and would absolutely book with her again. I will highly recommend her to everyone that I know! 💝”

About: For as long as I can remember, my home has always been filled with dogs, cats, and pets of all varieties. I’ve raised puppies and kittens from birth for new homes and have cared for my friends’ pets many, many times. My wife Abby and I have 2 rescue cats, Viggo and Sable, and the friendliest and most playful Aussiedoodle you’ll ever meet named Penny. Penny loves to meet and play with other dogs, she’s incredibly gentle any not at all overbearing, intimidating, and knows when to slow down or ease off of other dogs who might not be in a social mood. Our cats do their own thing, but still make time for scritches. Our world is a better place for having cats and dogs in it, and I know it’s not easy to say goodbye (even briefly) to a beloved pet. My goal is to make your pets as happy and loved as I possibly can in your absence, as I would want my own furry family members to be when I’m gone. Whether it’s a short walk or a full fun day out and about, you can rest assured your own furry family will be in great hands with Sam the Sitter! I recently left a job I was unhappy with, which has opened me up to care for your pets anytime, anywhere. Driving is not an issue, as I live centrally to most residential areas in Chattanooga. Pet comfort and safety is a big priority for my pets, so I strive to achieve the same level of comfort and safety for your pets too. Whether you wish to keep your loved ones in the comfort and safety of your own home or want your pets to go out and explore, I have a very reliable vehicle with dog safety harnesses and snacks and water available at all times, especially with the rising temperatures. I come prepared with anything your pet might need. One of the biggest things I learned from our own trainer (who is also a veterinarian and a friend) is the importance of a good diet. I try to feed our (and your) pets the most nutritional and organic food available to support a long and healthy life. I have a fully privacy fenced in backyard that is cleared of my dog’s “business” almost daily, so I am always open and happy to host pets in our home. For cats, we have numerous toys and comfy places to nap. You can guarantee your pet will be very well taken care of with me!
“kelsie was fantastic with my sweet boy! she took him for a potty break and a little walk and sent pictures and kept me updated. 100% recommend for anyone needing someone to look after your babies :-)”

“Savannah is amazing! I highly recommend. She was very communicative and detailed. She let us know if she was running late from work (but it was truly never late, she was just that attentive and professional). She sent lots of pictures of our boy 🥰. He is old and we worry about him so we are so thankful to have someone like her who we can trust to look after him. Her experience with animals is invaluable as she was able to medicate him no problem. Thank you, Savannah!!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tyner. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
