“We needed someone to take care of our backyard goats while we were gone and she was more than happy to help us out. Plus, she brought our goats celery as a treat so bonus points for that! Thanks again!”
“I recommend Stephanie to anyone needing a sitter for their furry friend or someone just to drop by and make sure they are okay! She was very understanding, knowing I had a demanding job that changed my booking time. I was very appreciative for her accommodation.”

About: I have always had a soft spot for animals of any kind and have been consistently watching and taking care of the pets of friends, family, and neighbors since I was 10 years old. I have special experience in the care of senior and disabled animals. I’m currently working part time, so for daytime care I will be available on week days before 9:00 am or from 4:30 pm onward. On weekends I will be available all day. I will do everything I can to ensure that your animal feels comfortable and at home, regardless of the services I am providing. I will take any instructions into careful consideration to provide the utmost sense of normalcy for your furry friends!

“This is the second time Kathe has pet sit for my two cats. My husband and I trust her to take excellent care of them when we are away. She gives me so much peace of mind and I know that I do not need to worry about anything. She is easy to get in touch with and sends daily updates. Kathe is very kind and dependable. I will always recommend her!”

“Alora took wonderful care of our two dogs, Dahlia and Ela! She was communicative, kind, and clearly experienced. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in great hands. We came home to happy, relaxed pups—highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and loving care!”

“LaDonna took great care of our kitty. Chloe was happy and content and her old self when we returned. Thank you for caring for our girl while we were away for the holidays!”

About: I have lots of experience with walking dogs, pet sitting, and doing detailed drop-ins. Ultimately, I care about the health and wellbeing of your family member because that’s exactly what they are, family. They deserve the best care possible and I am happy to provide them with the love and attention that they deserve. PET REIKI I can also offer additional reiki services for interested pet owners. This is an energy healing service that I can provide during Drop-Ins. This is great for senior dogs, pain relief, post-op healing aid recovery, or to enhance your pet’s excellent health and wellbeing. **NOTE: Book pet reiki under [bathing/grooming]. I currently have lots of free time and can do multiple drop ins a day if needed. I’m available 7 days a week and can become a consistent presence for your pup. I am extremely comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I can handle all types of temperaments and will always prioritize your dog’s safety and wellbeing before anything else.

“Nothing but good things to say! Our 4 legged kids love her & couldn't be more excited when she walks through the door. Goes above and beyond to make sure they are more than comfortable. Couldn't ask for a better sitter. Gives such great peace of mind!”

“She was always on time and easy to communicate with. Great with my feline and left in-app notes to let me know how the visit went if there were any issues/concerns. Def recommend to others!”

“Very good dog sitter. Did really good with our big dogs. Very communicative and really cares about them. Very trust worthy. We did not have to worry about her during our time away from home.”

“I really enjoyed working with JaNiya this past week as she performed drop in visits for our cat, Mae-C. Mae-C has a new friend now and the two of them played together and enjoyed an hour long visit each day interacting with treats, games, grooming and music. JaNiya also helped with a few light chores around the house like checking the mail and watering the plants. She was also very accommodating and our cat just loves her. We have two more trips before the end of the year and we will definitely check her availability. JaNiya, we really appreciate you. Thanks so much.”

“Jaime S did an OUTSTANDING job looking after our pups at our home! Both dogs loved her and her daughter who also came over occasionally. She took care of insulin injections needed for our dog Gemma and always kept us informed. Highly recommend her services!”

About: Since I was 12 I’ve helped walk dogs around the neighborhood, feed them or go and check on cats while their owner was away. I also grew up with a cat as well as a dog. I currently work full time during the week days but I am available after work as well as on the weekend anytime for you and your pet. In a clients home, I will make sure to read all notes and listen to what the owner is comfortable with and what they allow for their pets. With dogs and cats I will stimulate your pets with actives and get them active and give lots of love. With dogs, we will go on adventurous walks around the neighborhood and play fetch if they like. My goal is to keep your fur baby happy and safe while you are away.
About: I used to volunteer at a local animal shelter. I took a course on animal handling, how to decrease frustration, anxiety and stress (FAS) for animals in the shelter, body language, how emotional health impacts an animal’s physical health, etc. I have a certificate in keeping a shelter Fear Free. My family and friends have relied on me in the past to dogsit their fur-babies. I have a large extended family with pets of all kinds, from German Shepard’s, Labradors and Cocker Spaniels, to mixed breeds and Tabby cats. Five of them are shelter rescues and one chihuahua-dashscund. For all of the animals I have taken care of, I came to their home so that the animals remained comfortable. I love all of my fur-babies, and I’m thankful that my family trusts me enough to take care of them while they’re away on vacation. Important Note: If you’re wanting to do more “meet and greets” after the first one in order for your pet to get more comfortable around me, I will be charging the same price as it would be for a drop-in (about $15 depending on the pet care). Another Important Note: I can give oral medication by putting it into their food. I can not, however, give it to the pet straight. My work schedule varies every week. However, I usually work from either 8:30 AM or 10 AM to 4 PM. I wouldn’t mind discussing the details in-person. My living situation does not allow me to petsit in my own home, however, I am able to petsit in my clients’ homes. When it comes to animals, I am very responsible. I take my job as a pet-sitter very seriously. I am able to give them any medications if needed at certain days and times, walk them, feed them, etc.
“Jade has been so understanding and patient with my pup during a hard transition for him. She was extremely flexible with working with his needs and my schedule and overall has been amazing as a walker for us. I could not recommend her more!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rock Ledge Estates. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
