Yoshi is truly a dog whisperer. Moxy boarded with Yoshi and her dogs for 4 days. We (and Moxy) knew the minute we met Yoshi and her dogs that the care would be warm and loving. Thanks Yoshi!

This is the first time I used Rover.com and I had a great experience with Katherine! Our dog has a terminal illness and Katherine was willing to take her for two weeks, knowing of her precarious condition. She has a great property for dogsitting and she took excellent care of our senior dog, sending photos and updates daily, even giving us a framed collage of photos as well as some doggy cookies "to go." I highly recommend Katherine. Jodi

Kara and Jim are amazing! They were so flexible with me in setting up a meet & greet promptly to ease my mind. I was nervous leaving my pup with new people, since she is a bit wary of strangers. Jim was so good with slowly integrating her with the other dogs. He provided me with updates and pictures, which really eased my mind. My dog had a great time and I’m looking forward to her staying with them again soon!

Vanja was amazing and my Bentley was so comfortable that she ate her kibble. Bentley never eats with the sitter until she cannot take it any longer, which is about three days. On a three day trip, she ate after the first day which is unheard of. Vanja created a wonderful space for her to feel comfortable and enjoy. Vanja is kind, patient and a true professional, we would love to use her again.

Amanda was awesome! Highly recommend. We have a young husky and senior Shih Tzu that is very needy and can be a bit much. She and her family did great with both of our dogs. We received daily updates and pics and videos. Which we appreciated as this was the first time leaving them. Our husky is a rescue and can be very skittish but somehow she didn’t have an issue with Amanda. Will definitely be leaving our dogs with her again.

About: I have had dogs of my own my entire life, and have always had one in my 36 years of life. I love and care for all dogs. Your dog will be loved and well taken care of not only by me but my whole family. I have 2 goldendoodles that I got as puppies and potty trained them as well as taught them basic commands. I do not allow pets outside, even my fenced yard, without me outside with them. We never have visitors so an opened gate will never be a problem, because our gates are always shut. Your animals will be loved as if it were one of our own. If an overnight stay and they are used to sleeping with a human, myself or my child will be more than happy to comfort them throughout the night. They will be so spoiled, loved, and extremely well taken care of. I work less than part-time from home. I am always available and can fit in your pets needs at any time. Your pet will fit right into my daily life. I have a fenced in yard, and your animal will not be allowed outside at any time alone, I will always be with them for potty time. I have 2 goldendoodles of my own, who are extremetly shy and skittish of people, but love other dogs. I can crate your animal if you prefer, but they are also free to roam around and be loved on. If your pets prefer not to be around other pets, I can block off part of my home so my dogs are separated from yours.

It was my first time leaving my cats with a sitter, and although I was very nervous, she made my first very experience very good!! I got pictures and updates throughout their stay. She was also responsive, even before booking my cat’s stay. I would 100% recommend and would use her services again!! Thank you :)

I was very happy with Kimberly. Our dog was very scared and not on his best behavior on Day 1. Kimberly reached out for advice instead of giving up. It worked! He calmed down and all went well from there! I appreciated her patience and resolve. She communicated during my trip and sent pictures which put my mind at ease. I recommend her and will definitely be a return customer!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Twin Peaks home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
